goldfish80, pls don't ever say Nigeria is a poor 3rd world country ever again pls. That's a big funny exaggeration and I'd not watch you say it cos I simply understand your other points. :\

I find it insulting.... simple.

No Nigerian player will take part in Liverpool's friendly with Torino at Anfield this evening, both clubs have confirmed via their official websites.

Super Eagles star Joel Obi was not in Torino's traveling party to the United Kingdom while England U21 star Dominic Solanke was not considered in a 24-man squad list announced by The Reds.

Torino have explained that Obi is unavailable because he is still recovering from parainfluenza syndrome but there might be something more behind that news, with the midfielder being linked with a summer departure from the Turin club.

Tuttosport says Parma are hoping to complete a deal for the Nigerian this week and they have been negotiating with Torino for several days.

AC Milan, Celta Vigo and Crystal Palace are the other clubs Obi has been linked with in the summer transfer window.

The former Inter Milan wonderkid spent the 2013-2014 season on loan at Parma, making eight appearances in the Italian topflight.

Abeg make he just come crystal palace. The Epl suits Joel Obi's style of play so well.

Junior Lokosa resumes training with his team mates at Kano Pillars after his three weeks trip to Norway. He returned after an unsuccessful deal with SK Brann of Norway.

Just imagine, while NPFL's best is going for trials in Norway at a second division club Brann , this Ghanaian league star just joined FC Basel first team without trials ;

PSV in pole position to sign Ola Aina on loan from Chelsea.

PSV Eindhoven moving to land Chelsea youngster Aina

PSV are in pole position to land Chelsea youngster Ola Aina on loan.

Defender Aina is a man in demand after the Blues allowed to let him leave temporarily again this season.

And he is leaning towards a move to PSV with the Dutch side able to offer potentially Champions League as well as top-flight football.

PSV won the Dutch league last season, earning them a place in the Champions League play-off round.

Italians Torino and Championship trio Derby, West Brom and QPR are also keen on the versatile 21 year-old.

Aina spent last season on loan at Hull and just missed out on a place in Nigeria’s World Cup squad after being named in their preliminary 30-man party.

the point is stop hyping him to high heavens! He is just an average player.... Nacho this Nacho that... When we needed him he did nada...... I'm a very big a man city fan, and the plain truth is that nacho is not a Pep player..... So enough with your what if and what not... Or another line you like using... If pellegrini was the coach.... Ain't you tired already?

How the hell did I hype Nacho by saying he should warm bench and learn. Is it that you do not understand the meaning of hype. Na wa.

Jump and pass, no dey allow small thing pepper you for body. Once you see "Nacho" or any blue font, just skip. It is that easy.

I tire. Maybe I should stop writing Nacho's name to satisfy some of them.

Chelsea concluded their preparations for the start of a new season with a goalless draw versus French opponents, Olympique Lynonnais before running out 5-4 winners in the resultant shoot-out on Tuesday evening.

Super Eagles dazzler Victor Moses and Tammy Abraham were both named in the Blues starting XI at Stamford Bridge.

While both players were earning their first pre-season starts under Maurizio Sarri, Abraham has featured in all games the Italian tactician has overseen since his taking to the helm.

The striker thought he had scored in the 56th minute when he rose highest to meet Davide Zappacosta's far-post cross, but watched it sail agonizingly wide off target.

Moses made way for Lucas Piazon after 68 minutes of action while at the same time, Abraham was replaced by Olivier Giroud.

After the scoreline remained deadlocked at the blast of full-time whistle, Eden Hazard stepped up to decide the ensuing penalty shootout which his side edged 5-4 with the vital last kick after Pape Diop had missed for the visitors.

Chelsea defender Ola Aina is closing in on a loan move to PSV Eindhoven, sources have told ESPN FC.

A number of clubs have expressed an interest in taking Aina on loan this season, but Dutch champions PSV are leading the race to sign the Nigeria international on loan.

PSV could potentially offer Aina the chance to play in Champions League football this season if they come through the playoff round.

Aina spent last season out on loan in the Championship with Hull where he made 45 appearances in all competitions for the Tigers.

The 21-year-old has come through the ranks at Chelsea and his move to Hull was his first loan move away from Stamford Bridge.

Aina is well down the pecking order at Chelsea and the club feel he would benefit from going out on loan again.

Rohr does not get paid on time

You can say they have missed a couple of his payments before but Rohr is not being owed a dime as we speak. Compare that to Manu and Siasia who had to go to the papers before being paid salary.

Could it be we left our best players behind while going to Russia?

Rohr has been owed several months at a time. The only reason you do not hear much is because he is comfortable and does not really need the money. Even when reporters ask Rohr about his owed salaries, he just dismisses them.

Our coaches on the other hand need the money so they complain more.

Rohr has not been owed in almost a year. Last I heard they were paying him in advance. You can't compare him to Siasia who wasn't paid for almost his whole time on the job.

There have been issues of owed salaries since Rohr started. Things are better now because NFF has more sponsorship.

There have been several stories on Rohr being owed.

Nigeria IS a 3rd world country. I don't know why you'd even want to debate that.
Go look at the Human Development Index. Nigeria is as overhyped as they come. Oil money got people gassed up for nothing

Leon, Etebo and Ebuehi didnt make moves because of their world cup showings. Instead they moved because of their exploits in their respective club sides the past season. Only idowu and Musa got deals though, to some tier2 and an Arabian gulf league after displaying their wares at the mundial. There hasn't been any reasonable move prompted by an appearance in the world by any Eagle so far, eg Moussa Wague's move to Barca which is world cup induced.
