Sources are stating that Sevilla are reportedly looking at Uche Agbo as they shop for a replacement for Steven N'zonzi.

Juventus beat Juventus under 23 team 8:0.

That is the gulf in class between a professional top level side and a youth team.

God works in mysterious ways. A couple weeks ago people were beating us up about lack of movement, now all of a sudden everybody wants our players. I am totally in support of the move. This could help him win Rohr over for good.

Bursaspor has deleted this tweet bidding Ekong farewell. It looks like the deal is not yet complete.

Wow thats a great news. Dude was never committed, hence some of us wanted him gone long time ago. I just hope this news is true

It was never about commitment on your path, it is just that you rate him lower below Samuel or Onyekuru based on your pre statement but you are wrong.

Except you show me how the aforementioned players contributed in winning a league or AFCON. Have they done that yet?

Just yesterday, I was tempted to reel out what the future of the Super Eagles Wing Options would look like but something stopped me so I waited. I had no idea Victor Moses was about to drop a huge one.

Personally, I am not surprised by his retirement. He has served us these past six years and given us great Joy especially in 2013. Afcon 2013 is the major tournament and period that Moses will be most remembered for. He gave us his very best and absolute beast mode in that tournament in South Africa. I will never forget that.

He may only be 27 but I think he now realizes that he won't be that indispensable anymore in this post-Russia era especially with the Rise of "The New Breed of Wingers/Wing Forwards" in Nigerian football for the present and for the long term future. I think he realizes too that his once-upon-a-time enthusiasm to dorn the GWG has hit a nadir point and national team invitations no longer rages a fire in his bones. He realizes he doesn't feel the drive anymore to continue so he is right to step down from the stage and allow the Fast-Rising Youngsters to take centre stage in our team's present and future.

It was only six years with Victor but he gave me and Nigeria more Laughters than tears. He was the cornerstone alongside Mikel Obi at Afcon 2013 in Nigeria's third African Triumph and it is for this we will most remember the lad.

So long Victor "The Dazzling" Moses... It's been a pleasure.

I present to you the present and future of the Super Eagles Wing Roles:

- Alexander Iwobi (Arsenal FC, England): Although his future lies in the CAM roles. But still classed as an LM/LW and RM/RW.

- Henry Onyekuru (Everton FC, England on loan to Galatasaray, Turkey) - LW, RW, CF.

- Isaac Success Ajayi (Watford FC, England) - LW, CF, RW.

- Moses Simon Daddy-Ajala (UD Levante, Spain) - LW, RW, SS, WF.

- Samuel Kalu (Girondins Bordeaux, France) - RW, LW, RM.

- (If we get him) Ademola Lookman (Everton FC, England) - LW, RW, SS.

- Noah Sarenren Bazee (Hannover 96, Germany) - RW, LW, SS.

- Peter Olayinka (SK Slavia Prague, Czech Rep.) - CF, LW, RW.

- Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld (Club Brugge, Belgium) - LW, RW, SS.

- Last but not least... Classed as a striker/centre forward nowadays but still an option on the wings in certain set-ups.... The Next President of Nigeria himself... The Nigerian WC Legend.. grin cheesy

"AHMED MUSA (Al Nassr, Saudi Arabia)"

Others for the future:

- Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal CF, Spain) - RW, LW.

- Hillary Gong (Vitesse Arnhem, Holland) - RW

- Philip Azango Alayo (AS Trencin, Slovakia) - LW

IN ALL, THANK YOU VICTOR MOSES... Glad to know that Rohr accepts his decision. We march on... #SUPEREAGLESFOREVER

I disgree with the bolded statement. Victor Moses will always be a starter if he is the team. Na who wan dispense am? Who?

He won't be that indispensable anymore in this post-Russia era. That is just the inevitability.

His indispensability won't be as solid as before with the Continued strong Rise of Onyekuru, Kalu, and even the return of Simon Moses.

Come on wipe those tears Egbon... This is no bad news at all. Victor Moses' retirement was kinda inevitable to me and some on here. I think it is okay for him to step aside and let the others led by Moses Simon and Henry Onyekuru take up the gauntlet. His Fire is out and so he must bow out. It is the age of the new breed of Nigerian Wingers... So Long Moses. Now to usher in a new Moses and the Super Henry.... cool

Very bad news because the best Nigerian player just retired. Who fit wear em shoe?

You mean Victor Moses fire don quench? That is a very big joke you know because ain't true.

His Fire of passion in the GWG and his fire of enthusiasm when in the GWG have gone out. That is what I refer to.

And he is not the best Nigerian Player. He is not even Nigeria's Most Valuable player on the market. That belongs to Ndidi. I know it would sound shocking to you but his shoes won't be that large to fill up. We have strong replacements who can grow to be even more.

Moses alone won Nigeria the Afcon? Nope. MIKEL, Moses, Emenike, Mba plus Enyeama are the five most influential players from our Afcon 2013 triumph.

And in my tribute, I mentioned that He and Mikel were the cornerstones of our Afcon win.

As for Henry, Kalu and Simon. Give them time. In time, they will make you not miss Moses. Success too, if he keeps progressing well.

Well, Ndidi is the most Valuable Nigerian player on the market today in world football. He commands the highest valuation among Nigerian players world wide. Not necessarily saying he is the best (depends on how you look at it) but he certainly is more valuable than Moses.

Do you know Victor Moses was given an award to that effect? No! E was the most valuable player in that team.

Moses won an award, yes. He was outstanding at Afcon 2013. We cannot deny that solid fact. But we also know that without any award, Mikel was also a super reason for our triumph. Mikel had Two assists in that tournament. Gave the pass that found ideye that found Emenike in that first game too. Bossed the CIV midfield that had Yaya Toure and co. Mikel's best game was against CIV and that game against CIV's golden Generation would forever go down as part of Mikel's classy midfield legacies.

So Egbon, it is debatable. Moses was not heads and shoulders, the MVP of the team at Afcon 2013. He shared that recognition with Mikel. Mikel was obviously not named Player of the tournament because of a certain Pitroipa who was also beautiful to watch then.

And yes, Victor Moses is rated above the young lads coming through. It is expected naa. He is in his peak years and vastly experienced but they are young lads still rising strong in the game but we both agree that they have huge potentials to grow and step into Moses' shoes comfortably. They are already making their marks in Europe. They have hunger, passion and drive added to their talents so I feel we are covered in Moses' absence going into the future (both near future and long term).

That award alone is what distinguished him above his peers. Fine, I acknowledge Mikel but that award tells the story.

All that you said in the second paragraph is all I already know but I only want to make it clear there a big shoe these lads have to fit into in other to be accepted by the majority of Nigerian fans. It is beyond this thread.

Mikel is good but after considering some factors, I think Victor Moses is ahead because the guy is a game changer. Prior to his introduction to the team, Mikel had not performed to expectations but his entrance fetched us AFCON.

I understand Egbon. That is why I say give them time. Moses Simon is already making his marks in the Super Eagles and is progressing very well indeed. Henry Onyekuru is expected to make his marks soon too with time. And Samuel Kalu is a greenhorn with loads of potentials that was brought in to replace a Malcolm that went to Barca. There is also a Bazee and an IWOBI. Come on mehn! Even a Lookman (if gotten) would give us more mad quality options.

The signs and progress of our young lads show that we will do just fine without Moses. Moses gave us six years and we appreciate him and all he did but now we look to the ones he has left the stage for.

Moses' commitment has always been a question! Finally, it is over now. No one should suggest that he comes out of retirement o.

We need to stop pampering these guys. He felt like a god towards the ending of his international career.

I fell among the lots that supported him... Those days are far gone now.

Any player that is under performing, uncommitted to the course should be axed. Attitude is Everything!

Our boys performed woefully at the just concluded World Cup and only few of them showed remorse.

Abeg who is begging them to play for us? There are more than 1million Nigerians that will jump to the opportunity of putting on the green white green.

That's why I want the coach to look deep and fish out the players who are willing to put on the GWG. We have them scattered all over the world.

The Super Eagles is bigger than one player.
Nigeria is bigger than an individual!

It is time to get it right with our football.

He is not committed but he won us the Afcon and even qualified us for the world cup. Make una continue.

I think the lad realized he is not appreciated hence his impromptu retirement.

That is Life Egbon. Mikel was a key part of the puzzle needed to enable Nigeria conquer Africa again. Emenike was another piece of the puzzle but another was also Victor Moses. Moses was like the last missing piece of the puzzle.
Putting them all together, we had a masterpiece team that rose to conquer the continent. Remove any of them and we would not have conquered. A Moses in that team without Mikel would have failed. A Mikel in that team without Moses would also have failed. They needed each other. Simple.

And if we are being honest, there is no aspect of this discussion where Moses comes out on top as Nigeria's best in this era over Mikel. Club and country showings/achievements prove this fact. Mikel will be remembered as NIGERIA's finest in the Post-2010 WC era when he hangs up his boots. That is a fact.
