Then, you don't have anything to worry about. It might even be a mix-up from the bank or embassy. As someone said, reapply and let your uncle get you a fresh statement and a supporting letter steinmajor: 1 Like |

steinmajor: on first though i would have said dont apply again and dont even target the US because that issue is not going away anytime soon and will keep coming up as a problem on second though , if you are absolutely sure of the bank statements, then you can apply again with the aim to clear your name . however this chance is only if you are absolutely sure of the authenticity of the bank statement . 3 Likes |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by presiade(m): 4:52pm On Aug 17, 2018 |
steinmajor: Probably the account statement was not officially obtained (requested and paid for) and the bank denied issuing it when the embassy requested confirmation. If you're extremely sure that the submitted statement is genuine, confirm how your uncle got it. After that, re-apply with a duly obtained official statement and explain exactly what happened. Your case would have a better chance of flying if the scenario I imagined are true and other things are right. 3 Likes |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Spotlighte: 8:21pm On Aug 17, 2018 |
KAMSITO: Based on a guess that you might want to refire, you should post your transcript and profile. The gurus in the house will tell you where you went wrong in your visa interview. And for the sessions in a year, I don't know about November as most schools resume August for Fall (I stand to be corrected). Why you wait for the gurus to give you right answers, I think you should send a message to you department asking them this too. |

pharmacylaws: I can answer you from my personal experience, but I cannot confirm a yes or a no. When I did my visa interview, I had my uncle's name on my I-20 but had my dad statement of account. It wasn't a problem during the interview and I got the visa. Ironically, I had a first denial when I went with my uncle's statement of account whose name was on my I-20. |

Evening Guys. My visa was approved on 18th July. I left Nigeria on 13th August. This is my Travel experience. It's coming late because I've had issues with accommodation since I arrived. I traveled with Royal Air Maroc. We left Nigeria 6:05am On 13th of August. Got to Casablanca around 10am. Disembarking the plane, and the check at the RAM desk took a few minutes. I have to say at this point that, if you don't understand French or Arabic, you're going to have a hard time if your layover is in Casablanca. Anyway, I got lost and couldn't locate the lounge. RAM also extended my layover time from 5 hours to about 9 hours without prior notice. It was very frustrating not locating the lounge, no food, no wi-fi and no familiar faces. I just located where we were supposed to board the Next flight and just stayed there. I sha cannot lost. We eventually left Casablanca around 9pm, and arrived JFK at around 11PM American time. We spent about 30 minutes before we could disembark, then we stayed at the queue. The guy only asked where I was going, did my biometrics, asked if it was my first time, stamped my passport and wished me luck at school. I almost got scammed by a cabman sha, but I found this nice Igbo man who helped me book Uber with his phone and I safely arrived at my hotel, NYLO in Manhattan. Spent a few days in New York, even took a sightseeing bus around town. School resumes on Monday sha. Playtime is over. Trumpland is sweet. I'll say this sha, if you're not strapped for cash or can stomach plenty wahala, don't take Royal Air Maroc o. 18 Likes 1 Share |

KAMSITO: I am not familiar with a November semester. A typical semester is usually 4-5 months and a November semester will be for only 2 months. Personally, I will choose the conventional semesters (Fall - August or Spring - January) and save myself the stress of having to answer/defend an unconventional semester during your interview. Also, the time difference between November and January isn't much. Admissions are rarely given for the summer semester. 1 Like |
