Well I have my own way of defining it. I’m not a TYPICAL Nigerian, that can swear anything out of sentiments.

As regards your example, Nigeria’s golden generation were the first to take us to the World Cup. You can hardly mention Nigerian football without talking about that 94 set which was a culmination of Westehof’s building for about 5 years. IMO our most impressive players in that era will definitively make the list of Super Eagles legends, and of course together with other iconic players before their era. These names would be first names to be mentioned for a long time to come BECAUSE OF THEIR EXPLOITS IN THE GREEN WHITE GREEN.

Modified
Yekini was very well celebrated even before Tunisia 94. I remember as a child always hearing his name. I didn’t know him until after the World Cup lol.

But yes talking about legends, let people who really followed the game and know the history speak — Iconic monikers like icon4s (pun unintended) and Kog45

I have previously made my list of legends and would only want to add two omissions to the list: Muda Lawal and Joseph Yobo.

Oga humility let's take it easy on Moses.

He has done his best for Nigeria in his chosen profession and achiecved a lot which i think average football fans must appreciate but really surprised seeing gurus here trying to downplay his achievement.

If i don't remember anything i remember his awesome contribution during 2018 WC qualification matches.

Super eagles legend or not is debatable cos personally i don't see Kanu Nwankwo as super eagles legend but to a lot he is super eagles legend.

I don't think anyone is downplaying Moses' contributions to the SE. No doubt he is one of our best players in the last 5-6 years. But the discussion is on whether he is one of our legends of all time. Does he belong to that class?

Time will tell bro. Anything is possible.

If I was in Ogun State I would not only vote for him I will personally campaign for him.

And who says Labour Party cannot win in Ogun State. After all Labour Party through Segun Mimo once won in Ondo state.

The eligibility of a candidate for the post of NFF chairman is as enshrined in Article 12 of the NFF communiqué. One of such requirements is that one vying for the post must be a Serving or past member of the NFF executive committee. Executive committee members are State Chairmen. Meaning you must have served as a state chairman or currently serving as one.

So my brother, the politics starts from the state level.

Nobody hates Ighalo.

We only hate the fact that he has not been giving us (the national team) good goals returns.

He can score 1000 goals in the Chinese league this season, if he likes, but what I care about is his goals returns for the GWG.

At the state level? But FIFA says there should be no government involvement. I think Jay Jay Okocha had that post in Delta.

We are in trouble because most state chairmen are chairmen of NPFL clubs and we see their "great work".

Yes he fail to score, does friendlies meant anything?

What about nacho who played well in the qualifiers and vicmo, what did they play at the world cup?

Its Ahmed Musa who everybody in this thread is insulting that scored our only 2 world cup goals.

Forget about the friendlies and talk about the world cup.

If ighalo deserve to be insulted for world cup performance then nacho and co also deserve to be insulted because they did nothing, but common it wont happen in this thread because some people here are hypocrite

Hate is a strong word. No one hates Ighalo.

Personally, i wish Ighalo enjoys the rest of his career away from the super eagles. Even when he was scoring many premier league goals, he never clicked for Nigeria.

I don't think I saw any hate speech from you but others have not been so nice.

I know he has been poor but the hate was too much. The value of a man shows when he falls and stands back up. Ighalo has shown his mental strength, most players would have been feeling sorry for themselves but not Ighalo. We are not Rohr so why can't we acknowledge the man. It is not like saying the guy try will automatically give him an invite.

There is nothing personal. I wish him all the success in his career. He simply does not produce for Nigeria.
