Anything to get rid of Mou is a welcome development for me. Kinda not feeling like following United wholeheartedly this Season. With Mou in charge, I'm losing passion for the Club I cherish more than PMB Administration.

Zizou has pattern of Play, he ain't a defensive-minded Coach like Mou. He's kinda good at man-management. And I'm convinced Pogba and Martial would like to play and give 200% under him.

Not that I am saying it would work, but you start with your best team. You don’t punish a player for being one of your best players by leaving him on the bench.
We are not in the position to be over calculating and starting an inferior player in place of a superior player.

In terms of a formation to fit all 4, a 4-4-2 diamond will work with Matic at the base, Fred LM, Pereira RM, Pogba at the apex. This becomes a 4-3-1-2 against smaller teams.

The obvious will be Alexis Sanchez-Romelu Lukaku. For me though, Alexis will be on the bench and Jesse Lingard or Anthony Martial takes his place.

Also, Luke Shaw has to be very effective for this formation to have some hope because the right side is already comatose. Maybe Diogo Dalot has something in store for the fans?

If this formation is used then it would Lukaku starting with Sanchez. Martial and Rashford would be next in line before Lingard.
But this would only be a temp fix and not a formation i want long term. It would help minimize the problems fitting Pogba into a working midfield and also take Sanchez from the left wing where he has been useless so far.

I doubt Pogba can operate at the tip of the diamond. He's not as nimble nor agile, doesn't have those zippy zappy one touch play nor the intelligent movement to operate as a false 10 in the role. Mata/Lingard will be better fit in that role than Pogba.

I see Pogba very similar to Gerrard in his style of play. Both operate in between CM and no 10 role and loves whipping in those long balls. In fact, their long passes are much more better than their one touch play.

I feel a 352 set up will be the best for all. Matic should be able to operate in a 3-man defence. If little Daley Blind had no difficulty playing as a defender in a 2-man defence, I don't see why Matic can't operate in a 3-man defence. Moreover, his passes will help us at the back.
