Now, this is a more plausible argument. However, APC currently have 23 elected governors. I don't see any significant changes to this number after the 2019 election. So, APC presidents Osinbajo and PDP presents Ekweremadu in 2023. Osinbajo is of the ruling party and the outgoing VP with about 23 governors behind him. Ekweremadu is the candidate of PDP with the support of around 10 governors. PDP left government 8 years ago while APC is in control of federal might.

Osinbajo is Yoruba and his people supported Buhari massively in 2015 and 2019. Ekweremadus people never supported Buhari at any point. There is also the small issue of Biafra agitation on the mind of northern leaders. So tell me, who will the north support?

We both know the obvious answer if we are to be pragmatic. If you want to be emotional, you can keep believing that an Igbo PDP candidate can defeat a Yoruba APC candidate in 2023.
You can believe what you wish.

There is nothing more potent like an idea whose time has come.

The Igbos are among the major stakeholders in this nation.

Denying them the presidency after the north has had her turn, that I don't need to tell you, will be a recipe for tension and possible violence.

I doubt that the northern establishment will want to sustain a Nigeria riddled with secessionist tension.

Something will give. It is probable to assume that commonsense will prevail at a point.

I pray we shall all be alive to see who gets proved right.

Ekwueme was a VP ditto with Atiku and Sambo, lest we forget.

But you're the ones who have called yourselves anti north since 2015 na!! cheesy

You're the ones who opened hundreds of threads to call Yoruba slaves for voting a northern candidate in 2015 so what are you talking about?

What was the constant theme of kanu's diatribes that millions of youths all over the SE lapped up? Kanu told us you hate the northerners and your people clapped for him. You don't have to deny it now because you wish an igboman becomes president of the country you called a zoo times without number. The seat is there for your taking if you wish cheesy
You and substances...

How many times will I tell you that Kanu is not an embodiment of Igbo political trajectory?

I take it as a serious insult to the Igbos to suggest that Kanu decides where Igbos head to.

Kanu merely latched on the legion grievous injustice to which the Igbos are victims to popularize his message.

The moment things take their shape, time will sort Kanu out...

BTW, Tinubu's betrayal will haunt Southern Nigeria for ages...

You keep hiding under this idea. Where have you ever seen that one person embodies everything about a particular people? Was every igbo man on the same page with ojukwu before and during the war? Does that reduce the secession as an igbo project? Did Awolowo not have opponents in his quest for Yoruba development? Does that take anything away from the fact he was a Yoruba champion cheesy

Do you want to deny the hundreds or even thousands of threads opened on this site telling us how Yoruba were slaves for helping buhari to power? cheesy

Do you want to deny the hundreds of threads opened to show how much your people hate, dislike and disdain these gworo chewing kunu drinking fulani muslims from the almajiri north? cheesy

When have you ever cautioned one of the many idiots who termed Nigeria a zoo? why are you shying away from admitting it? Is it because reality has set in and you now see the wisdom to come back to full participation in the zoo? cheesy

Power will shift to the south 2023

Definitely he’s the best candidate come 2023

That’s why we say NO to any northern candidate aside Pmb now

2023 it’s time for Osinbajo

This is exactly why Nigerians suffer , the youths are too slow , so you want Buhari to remain there so as to enable Osibanjo become president ? What exactly did you achieve with OBJ's presidency if not failure? Can't the competent person be the president? Very backward

Let assume the south west get the slot from the APC.
The PDP fields a northern candidate, obliterates the Yoruba candidate in the rest of the south and the core north.
And the pdp wins, then the path become even clearer for the inevitable igbo presidency, which looks more certain though longer.

The most feasible course of action for the APC is an igbo presidency.

That is the only way to deal a lethal blow to the pdp in the south.
PDP won the south even under buhari. They will win it again forever unless the Eastern political machinery turns against them.

And When PDP gives the ticket to an Igbo man but APC presents a Northerner, what happens? lol You think you are smart

I have nothing to prove.

Millions of Igbos especially the elites and intelligentsia believe in the Nigerian project.

Our position has always been that there should be a semblance of containment and addressing the issues that eventuated agitation and civil disobedience.

Kanu and Ojukwu are like a hill and a hillock.

The day the Igbos buy wholesale into Kanu's insurrection, we will be going into civil war mode.

If someone calls Nigeria a zoo... Was that supposed to be such an insult?

Aside the pretense which people like you treasure so much, is Nigeria working?

Is it because the lgbos are involved? Fela sang about Nigeria leadership in pejorative terms. Is he not being hailed today for his foresight and courage.

We SWners do not want the Presidency right now. If OBJ could get 8 years, Buhari deserves his own too.

All we want is 2023. We have enough capable hands. Osibanjo, Fasola, Ambode, Amosun, Akinwunmi Adesina. Name them in every sphere.

We have also invested so much in the electronic, print and social media. So, all is set.

BTW, we don't want any votes from the East. If Abiola could win in 1993 and Buhari in 2015 without the Igbos, we would win again.
Sophisticated morrrons. They never learn.

Can a SW/NW ticket defeat a NW/SE ticket? We shall see then.

Do those millions of young men and women who swear by kanu's name also believe like you? I'm surprised that we'll hear chants of sai "whatever-northerner" wins PDP ticket in the SE for the 2019 elections after all the biafra or death threads we saw here necessitating Seun to put up a permanent thread against it. Coming from people that can offer only 500k marginal votes.

Anyway can a SW/NW ticket defeat a NW/SE ticket? 2023 you would understand that
the North is loyal only to their Northern Agenda.

Lemme see where you want to get the votes to make Osinbanjo, a Yoruba Christian President.

We know that Northern Muslim votes are no-no for you in 2023 because PDP would be fielding a Northern Muslim.

So you lots would depend on the SE, SS and MB to have a chance at the Presidency.

You can't betray Jonathan in 2015 and expects the SS to vote for you and you can't support murderous Mayetti Allah and expect the MB to vote for you.

You will need Ndi Igbo more than you have ever done in your life, don't forget they have the number to squeeze your entire regional votes into a marginal win of 500k. This is something Anambra votes alone can more than offset.

Take it or leave it, a NW/SE ticket is indefeatible. That ticket can even defeat a NW/SW ticket.

We shall see in 2019 and then 2023. Till then keep running your mouth.

Wish you can grow up...

Kanu and the agitators have an undeniable nuisance value.

Just like they say, this country is a zoo nay a jungle.

People who deem themselves privileged behave like animals. No Igboman deceives himself that the Igbos will be accorded their rightful place in this confusion of a country without putting up some form of agitation.

So Kanu has a useful purpose. If Nigerians feel uncomfortable with being castigated, then they should champion the cause for the elimination of injustices and imbalance in the country.

People in this country tend to take others as fools. Some weak-minded fellows here are trying to dredge up the idea of power being transferred to the South West after the north when commonsense and equity demand that it should be the turn of the Igbos.

Folks would want to sow the wind, but would moan at the concomitant whirlwind.

It is because Yoruba people don't face reality, that is why they think Osinbajo will take over after Buhari.

They foolishly think that the SS, SE and Northern Christians will ever vote a Yoruba man when they themselves have not ruled.

You can continue wallowing in hallucinations.

The Igbos have always taken a front seat since the conception of Nigeria so you don't carry coal to Newcastle.

Your problem and that of about every misguided Yoruba element is the futile attempt to set an agenda for the Igbos. You want us to conform to your worldview and it is completely unIgbotic to allow that to happen.

We see ourselves as accomplished trailblazers. Our political success will largely be on our own terms and not kowtowing to the likes of Tinubu and Buhari.

It is not as if we are begging for relevance. Relevance in the Nigerian equation is our inalienable right because nature conferred that to us.

The argument here is an academic exercise.

We are trying to disabuse the minds of deluded folks like you.

The thrust of my argument is that irrespective of party, the northern establishment which plays a central role will unlikely prefer a candidate from South West after the north is through this time.

Go through my submissions here and track my consistency.

Nobody can state with mathematical exactness who will win next year as a lot of scenarios can still play out.

I can't remember telling you that Atiku would win in so far as I am a staunch critic of Buhari and his dismal performance.

You who follow him like a familiar spirit should know where he is.

Of course it's academic and the delusions that have eaten you up will always make you unwilling to admit your hypocrisy but i'll keep trying anyway

Why are you bothered about a 2023 when to all intents and purpose as you would make us believe, 2019 is done and dusted? Did you see how you were showing pains when talking about the possibility that you might have longer to wait for an igbo presidency?

Why would you even want the presidency when majority of your people want their utopian country that kanu promised them? why would you want a partnership with the gworo chewing kunu drinking head slamming fulani almajiris just because of the presidency of the zoo? What happened to all the chants of biafra or death?
