Erm....no. I'm pretty certain I read the context correctly and that was exactly what you sought to do. It doesn't "anger" me - else, I'd engage in the tit-for-tat. I just found it juvenile.
Well, you read what you wanted to. Dealt with as I meant it was that I gave my attention to your generalizations and childish prejudice in the past. And I showed it.

Okay. Let me concede that initial generalization. I've long since made clarifications and drew distinctions at least in 3 posts about the different political situations in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Except you'd like to remain pedantic about it, it doesn't change my argument.
Well, I am sure you have done that at the bolded. That's a good gesture. But it's just pathetic that you had to do this now after your barefaced lie was pointed out. grin Or maybe you were just exposing your poor knowledge of Oriental politics.

I'm guessing you didn't expand on your response here because the futility of it registered, and instead referred to another poster's arguments which didn't show what you're claiming. You made a simple comment:

It's a demonstrably false claim. So, do you care to explain how those distinctions are important? Show your working.
What more do you want me to add to the lengthy points on the distinction between the kinds of autonomy a country like Taiwan enjoys and that of an enclave like Catalonia, which you brought up?There's enough said on that already.

But it goes both ways, nigga. You want me to acknowledge an index's findings when it suits your point, yet you've been in this thread for ages arguing against a different index that doesn't suit your point. Sounds a tad inconsistent and hypocritical, don't you think? The UN Development Index and several other indexes measuring all sorts of parameters has consistently ranked Kenya ahead of Nigeria. Many of the Kenyan folks here have posted these indices. Why then are you still in this thread asserting otherwise?
This is of course the silliest thing you've said so far,Charlie. grin Can you kindly point out where me or any other Nigerian has pointedly failed to acknowledged the UN hdi and its ranking of Kenya over Nigeria? What we have said and which you yourself had acknowledged in the past is that the reason for that slight difference is the fact that Nigeria is a far bigger country than Kenya.I am beginning to believe talking from both sides of your mouth is your thing. The contention here is that why is it easy for you, Sir to disregard such indexes when they favor your country? Like the university ranking thing and the corruption index. At times like that, you easily accept that the methodologies are wrong. SMH.

You don't care if I say anything negative about anywhere including Nigeria, yet you've been on this thread for thousands of pages arguing with those who say negative things about Nigeria? As I've said, had I told a story of woe about my bad experience in Nairobi, you would't have given me some churlish response about how I shouldn't have said it. You'd have used it as an amulet to strengthen your argument. You know it. I know it. But you can keep deluding yourself otherwise.
But,Sir. You've also been on this thread for ages and you have not been here throwing flowers either. grin How do you manage this kind of hypocrisy? That shot is cheap indeed coming from you.To be honest with you, your post would have been ignored by me if not for the two points I bolded in your post which are 1.Hong Kong wants nothing to do with China. Which to the best of my knowledge, you have now corrected after much ado. 2.Your blanket statement about how no nation on earth could be more corrupt than Nigeria. And you've so far failed to answer the question I put to you. In how many other African countries have you encountered their systems for you to compare affairs. Instead you've been grasping at straws. What's my business with what you say about Kenya? That's your problem with the Little Indians. But when you say it about Nigeria and it's unsubstantiated, then trust me to take on you like I have done.

The past 24 hrs I received anecdotal confirmation of issues we've posted on here, namely our dairy industry,Magufuli and our demographic dividend. Since some, many, actually on this thread I won't name can't interpret data here's some hearsay!
Small holder dairy farming is one of the surest ways of poverty reduction.

29 September 2010, Rome - Making smallholder dairy production more competitive could be a powerful tool for reducing poverty, raising nutrition levels and improving the livelihoods of rural people in many developing countries, FAO said in a new report on smallholder milk production published today.
http://www.fao.org/news/story/en/item/44582/icode/

The East and Southern African Dairy Association conference has just opened in Nairobi and by now you know who leads continentally.

Kenya’s rapidly growing middle class demands much higher and more consistent quantities of milk. The per capita milk demand is projected to double from 111 litres to 220 litres by 2030,” Kariuki said.

She however noted that despite the high investment, the country's dairy sector is not well coordinated and there is need to harmonise resources to ensure that the full potential of the industry is achieved.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organisation, Kenya’s per capita milk consumption is among the highest globally of any low-income developing country.
https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2016/03/15/kenyas-dairy-sector-tops-in-east-africa_c1311660

I'm angling to see how I can insert myself somewhere in the dairy chain in the coming 7 years-the opportunities are real.

A cousin was recently operated on in Nairobi hospital and met one of the entourage of the badly wounded Tz oppo leader(the nigga was hit 17 times!?) Anyway, many not just oppo but even CCM bigwigs are convinced Magufuli doesn't have all the knives in his drawer. The nigga is mental! He personally ordered the hits and arrests. IIRC,three have died and he's shut down at least two papers and targeted the main cyber forum, jamii which somehow escaped.

Last night a cousin with 30 years teaching experience enlightened me on an interesting new development I touched on earlier. In Kiambu,Muranga,Kirinyaga and Nyeri class sizes are decreasing rapidly. From 5 streams to 3 and occasionally even 2 while kindergartens which once has 20-25 kids now have 10-15.
The demographic dividend.the ratio of economically active to youthful inactive is rapidly lowering and we're within the first phases.

Kenya is at a demographic transformation stage. Fertility levels are declining gradually and Kenyans are living longer. There is reason for optimism that Kenya can benefit from a demographic dividend within 15 to 20 years. It is estimated that its working age population will grow to 73 per cent by 2050, bolstering the country’s GDP per capita 12 times higher than the present, with nearly 90 per cent of the working age in employment.

HAIIYYAAAA!? Dangoteland has actually beaten us in something meaningful, however minor!

I actually checked the per capita and yes,its true! The last stats of 2011 have us at 1.9 kgs per year and the Ogas are twice. BEHOLD!

http://www.thepoultrysite.com/articles/3492/global-poultry-trends-egg-consumption-in-africa-and-oceania-below-the-global-average/

However, many of us are culturally restricted from egg consumption, tbh. Let me wipe away these tears of joy and run to tell the world.
Honestly, how old are you, nigger? I thought you said you were in your forties? If that's the case you must be the oldest man posting on this thread and you've just proven that Solomon's wisdom has nothing to do with Methuselah's age. grin My post was in response to a pessimistic Nigerian who was too blind to see any progress in Nigeria's agriculture. The boy kept quiet about it only for you to run to the internet to compare egg production per capita and to start giving childish excuses for coming short. This your Obsessive Comparison Disorder needs psychiatric attention.

I don get it. Are there types of hardwork? Someone who is working hard is working hard. Kenyans are globally known for genuine hardwork (*emphasis on the genuine part*). Nigerians are known for reading books and scamming.

Hardwork implies a great deal of effort and endurance to achieve goals.

If only we could equally talk of Tanzanian companies in Kenya collapsing. Unfortunately, you dont even have companies in Kenya in the first place for them to collapse. So yeah. Btw, did you know Uchumi Retail Chain is a govt owned, publicly traded, parastatal? The fact that they expanded all the way to your market is worth a study in itself. Govt entities arent historically very well run in Kenya compared to the private ones that are driving Magufuli Mad. I needed to let you know that so that we can come to this question:

Since in your country the govt is the one that does (most) business, which govt owned entity has made its way to Kenya (or simply outside Tz)? Mention just one.

Friend, we buy your maize and rice. We pay for it in order to bolster your tiny, insignificant economy. It is not charity.

Tanzanians are more malnourished than Kenyans (from the arid areas). And this has to do with the fact that the emphasis in Tanzania is filling your belly in contrast to FAO standards of nutritional value. In other words Tanzanians, what are you eating? You cant just eat rice and cassava throughout the year.
