Having a business in America is good. Six years of hard work, hard savings, hard determination, hard focus, landed me a business, healthcare IT staffing business. You can't imagine what I rake in per day. There are some sweet European countries good for business (Sweden, Norway, Germany...) , language barrier is a thorn in the flesh here.

Don't waste time in America, do what you gat to do while the sun shines, have plans, have focus. Many things can derail one's life here. Life is good here, plenty babes, plenty attractions, access to loans, cars, mortgages et al. Some peeps would work a $10/hr job for years with no determination or plans to go to school, online studies.... C'mon, do not get stuck on a life like that. Make plans and make the moves then you good.. smiley
great advice! Thanks

One other proven way of breaking into $18 to $22 dollar mark with lesser manual labor is QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN.. Pay depends on industry, The biotechnology(Medical device) companies pay far more.. There are few specific knowledge you need to know to be a quality tech like GDP(good documentation practice) which is unavoidable in this field. You can do a research in it..

Another thing is knowing how to measure with tools like digital calipers, micrometers also check on Youtube to know how to use them its very easy. Also learn about SPC software (statistical process control) it gives u an edge on your resume..

Once in the field you can start getting your ASQ certifications, in quality tech etc just check the ASQ website to know which certification to start with and move higher, you can move higher to get lean six sigma (black and green belt) to become a quality manager/engineer which pays from 70k to 100k plus.

If interested I have a well detailed resume that will get u an interview all you need is study the resume and do a research on some tools states in the resume and you will be hired. The truth of the matter is irrespective of which company highers you, you will still get trained on their SOP/PROCEDURE that is to say u can learn on the job and gather the necessary experience.

Possible charges Trump will face

Collusion
Campaign finance violation
Tax evasion
Bank fraud
Treason.

I feel his assets will be confiscated and tax return will be released to show that he's actually in debt and indebted to Russian and European banks.

Oga, starting a business depends on your niche, determination and focus. Know your niche, register your company, get a license, get insurance, consult a staffing counsel, get payroll financing, connect with clients, get applicant tracking system. Look around your state you reside and key yourself into organizations network and you're good to go.

Yesterday, I took my younger bro out to one Chinese restaurant. After sitting down, we were handed the menu to order what we would like to eat, I was feeling in the mood to try something new, so I ordered something called Peppered beef.

Mind you, I had in mind that the peppered beef would be identical to the peppered beef we have in Nigeria, you know? Like meat that they fried with plenty pepper. grin

Only for the food to come and look what I got!

They used only green pepper to make some kind of sauce, and threw meat inside it. I took one spoon and almost threw up, it was awful! I asked to speak to the manager (who was a Chinese lady and her English wasn’t too good). She told me that’s what I ordered and there’s nothing they can do, so I had to take my L In Peace cry. I basically threw away $13.
I have tasted this shiit once. Chinese engineers in our factory. It tastes awful..

I looked at the course outline for nursing, it included anatomy and physiology 1 and 2. I asked if I could take a placement test for those at least, to take some credits, she declined. Even my GSTs from my first year in school, philosophy and logic, civic education etc etc, she said they can’t accept any of them.

I thanked her for her time, stood up and while walking out it dawned on me, I had wasted 6years of my life, studying in that school for nothing. undecided

But then again, I understand the theory of time zones. I will start afresh, but not in Chicago state university. I will graduate when I graduate.

Exactly bro. I just weak right now
uncle did u go to Imo State Uni?

What IT/programming skill can i learn here that will be of help in getting certifications in either the US or Canada..

or at least build a good foundation to learn more when I get to the States??

@FRANKNETTER Thank you for this thread, I actually read every comment on this 40 page thread, God bless you bro
but I will say, to me oo, you should have finished med school first before leaving oo, Nigeria is a Hell yes we agree, but it's actually the cheapest place to get a professional education before emigration ,Getting a Medical Degree in US is Money,a lot of Competitions,Huge Student loans etc You and I know how much Medical professionals rack in per month in the US. and you can't compare Jobs like Medical Doctors, Dentist,Nurses and Pharmacist with ANY Computer or IT JObs.Except you never had the passion to be a Doctor though . Am a student Dentist still in medical school here in Nigeria , am finishing Next year December by God's Grace, my Dreams is going to US to have my chains of Dental Clinics.
I wish you all the best my brother! the God that did yours will do mine when am ready to leave the Zoo in Jesus Name.

December set too here Doc..

these plans will b after housemanship and service abi?..

I'm Medicine n Surgery ..
