I have an interview on Wednesday at one of the top firms in Nigeria but I do not have a suit at the moment because I can't afford one. Can I wear a shirt, tie and chinos/pant? What other combinations could sit well without a suit? Please I need opinion of HR specialists

wear a pant, and get a cardigan in place of jacket. all these V neck cardigan should do. a blue or black.

Go with this

You can also go with a tie, a clean,crisp long sleeve and and a good trouser. Make sure your colour combo is excellent. A well polished shoe too.
You are good to go. A suit is not a guarantee that you will clinch the Job.

Out of seven men wearing new suit, i got my first job without wearing one. Just believe in yourself and be bold

Just try and look corporate... Absence of suit doesn't mean u can't be corporate.. I once attended an interview with France soccer jersy and I got the Job....story for another day..

Hey Guy!! whilst looking for a suit, Try and Google what's the company into, their mission and vision, their competitors...also check out the original advertisement posted by the company and read thoroughly the job description outlined in the advert,if any...in all believe in yourself and make sure you arrive there 30 mins before the interview.. Wearing suit does not get you the job.

Telling the interviewers how you can add value to their organisation, improve and add value to their processes, how your presence in the position gives an edge over competitors etc, etc gets you the job.

Be smartly dressed with what you have.
