Restricting apps from accessing the internet is different from disabling them. Enjoy your choice though.

I know but isn't this baked into stock android OS?

Guys using stock android or Android One devices, what are your solutions or alternatives to the following MIUI features?

1) Screen recorder
2) Superb screen capture and image editor
3) Messaging and calling app (much better than android messages and the others)
4) Compass app
5) Security app with built-in firewall and ability to selectively restrict apps from accessing the internet
6) Themes!!!
7) Dual apps!!! (e.g running two instances of Whatsapp for both SIMs)

Or do you prefer sacrificing some or all of the above in exchange for a smoother performance? smiley

Point of correction: MIUI is still buttery smooth despite all these features incorporated into the OS. Times have changed and custom skins can no longer be laughed at due to lag

Basically, you'd never know what buttery smoothness is until you try Android One.
I think that's why it seems like once you enter, you never leave stock android

Naa, I jump am pass (in Ifedith's voice grin). You mean Andriod One buttery smoothness that will bore one to death due to the emptiness of the OS? Am sure skipping on these extra features added by MIUI, Oxygen OS, Fly Me etc is the secret behind the so-called smoothness. I know several folks that got tired of their brand new Pure Android OS devices within a couple of days.

Please I need help. *Urgent*.

How do I solve this 'Storage space running out' issue? sad
I have deleted what I can, to no avail..
Most of my stuff are on my SD card actually so it's the data from my apps that's eating up my internal memory space.

Is there a way to move these to my SD card as well?

I will really appreciate your responses.

Max 2 Miui 10 Dev Rom, 6 hours usage with 3 hours SOT, u will still have about 65-70% battery percentage left.

Reading through the recent comparison made between Max 2 and Note 5, there is no where anyone mentioned the latter is better than the former in battery life. Stop being witty when there is no need to be. You will just end up misinforming newbies on here.
The Redmi Note 5 is a better all rounder than the Max 2, save for the size and the bigger battery if that is what the buyer prefers.
The only xiaomi device the Redmi note 5 is worthy to be compared with in general performance should be the Max 3.
In addition, there is still no better chipset at the same price merging that is as frugal in power management as SD625.

I have seen that option since the days of android 4.2.
It reduces data usage in the background.
Was actually referring to the way a firewall actually works. Completely or selectively block some apps from accessing the internet, even when you open the app to do something with.

Very useful to stop some apps from showing you ads.
It seems Google has been improving the feature ever since considering the way it works on Android Oreo.
The app Datally then becomes useful in controlling the amount of data an app consumes.

I tire for some ppl.
Variety is the spice of life.
I see anyone trying to force his or her taste on people as being ill upstairs. So far those tastes arent inhumane. Let everyone enjoy without trying to paint others' tastes bland undecided
