Reading through the recent comparison made between Max 2 and Note 5, there is no where anyone mentioned the latter is better than the former in battery life. Stop being witty when there is no need to be. You will just end up misinforming newbies on here.
The Redmi Note 5 is a better all rounder than the Max 2, save for the size and the bigger battery if that is what the buyer prefers.
The only xiaomi device the Redmi note 5 is worthy to be compared with in general performance should be the Max 3.
In addition, there is still no better chipset at the same price merging that is as frugal in power management as SD625.
oil dey ur head o.

I don't even know where the 'EXCEPT battery' wasn't added to the previous max 2-RN5 comparisons so far.

And i repeat, RN5 beats max 2 hands down in all areas except battery. Big screen size isn't a plus for all. In fact, it is a minus for some
Over! Over!! cheesy

Guys using stock android or Android One devices, what are your solutions or alternatives to the following MIUI features?

1) Screen recorder
2) Superb screen capture and image editor
3) Messaging and calling app (much better than android messages and the others)
4) Compass app
5) Security app with built-in firewall and ability to selectively restrict apps from accessing the internet
6) Themes!!!
7) Dual apps!!! (e.g running two instances of Whatsapp for both SIMs)

Or do you prefer sacrificing some or all of the above in exchange for a smoother performance? smiley

1) DU Recorder is very good, although I also have a Screen Recorder baked into Mine

2) Screen Capture/ Screenshots can be taken normally... They are superb enough... Stock Android also has its own editor, buy if you need more features there are apps you can get from Playstore, like Picsart

3)Android Messaging and Calling app is very good.. Especially the new releases from Google

4) For Compass you can just select and download any app on Playstore, I have a Compass baked into mine tho

5)Security app isn't necessary... That is Bloat... You can easily restrict any apps from using internet from app settings

6)Themes is AOSP.... AOSP is Life ✔️ that one is no problem.... There are so many.. And when you use themes on Stock Android, you will realise just how hopeless MIUI is

7) for Dual apps there are many Apps to choose from on Playstore... Like Parallel Space... Some of those apps are even much better and offer more features than the MIUI Dual apps... With options to change the icons and other stuff

go get yourself plenty chill pills, enuf pop corn and some chilled zobo as the tracking is updated cheesy.
Tracking every minute won't change anything, it'll raise your blood epinephrine level unnecessarily instead.
It will land when it will land or you'll have your full refund at the expiration of your protection period. Give it 3weeks on average kiss

That dude is a stupid seller. He was the one Ifedith ordered my REDMI Note 5 from initially. I waited for over a week then and the guy canceled the order

Thanks for the insights.

However, sometimes I ask myself why go through all that stress?
Plus installing each of the above mentioned apps have their own impact on the phone (batterywise and performance-wise). So it's a choice between bloatware and other apps, if you want the above features.

If you don't need it, you are good to go. Just get a very good launcher, install all the apps you need and enjoy ya device.

I personally like what some phone makers like xiaomi are doing; releasing some of their custom apps to the play store (calculator and file manager for example)
