Chapecoense: Another example will be trying to allow Permanent Residents to become Secret Service Agents who also are charged with the responsibility of protecting the life of United States President... It would also be disastrous if one of them end up killing the United States President. Laws are put in place for a reason and so far those Laws for worked very well and continue to protect the interest of the United States. Those Laws should be upheld. There are other well paying jobs that new immigrants can do until they're able to meet the minimum requirements for the jobs they are applying. 2 Likes |

Dremca: They already have that category already. I have talked about it in previous posts. But they need an immigration that benefits the masses something similar to Canada skilled workers program, not exactly like it but something similar. 2 Likes |

Please give me the link to a US startup visa. I'm only aware of EB1(a) for extra ordinary talent, EB5 for investor investing $500k and $1M and E2 visa for countries that are treaty to US. Babyvet: |

I've checked very well, there is no specific visa class for immigrants startups, most of the similar visas are employment based visa. See Canada startup visa https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/start-visa.html Nig4Greatness: |

How many entrepreneurs has $500k and $1M to startup a business. Canada startup visa doesn't require you to have any money, just your idea and funding from venture capitalist grants someone the startup visa. Nig4Greatness: |

Dremca: They've had that for years in the US. I've meet a few Africans with it but never a Nigerian. "To qualify as an immigrant investor, a foreign national must invest, without borrowing, the following minimum qualifying capital dollar amounts in a qualifying commercial enterprise: $1,000,000 (U.S.); or $500,000 (U.S.) in a high-unemployment or rural area, considered a targeted employment area. A qualifying investment must, within two years, create full-time jobs for at least 10 U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or other immigrants authorized to work in the United States, not including the investor and the investor’s spouse, sons, or daughters." https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/immigrant-investor-visas.html |

radautoworks: You're welcome bro. I've been thinking. What will happen to all the kids born to Indians and foreign doctors/prof on H1b What will happen to children born to Nigerians/PR holders that bring their forieng spouse to the US It looks really simple on the surface. But it's not. It'll create more issues than I'll solve. |

radautoworks: Venture Capitalist that will want 55% or more equity is that one a Venture Capitalist. Some even want Perpetual Royalty for life. God forbid if the business becomes successful then they can easily kick you out of a company you created through hard work. You're better off requesting for a Business Line of Credit OR a Business Loan from the Big Banks. |

lillaowow: Nigerians, don't use your own hands to disenfranchise your kids fighting for policies that won't help you all on the long run. You are immigrants, they are first generation Americans. They are not even referred to as Americans, they are AFRICAN Americans Susan, who came from Hungary or Ukraine or Serbia or any other poverty strike Eastern Europe 3years ago, her kids are American (not European American). People don't go around asking her where she's from (in a weird "why are you here" way) 2 Likes 1 Share |

Dremca:.... In as much as I love your enthusiasm and your optimism about your dreams and aspirations, you should know that those expectations are not just easy to come by in reality. There are stiff competitions everywhere for funding and some of the conditions attached to such would probably turn You to slave working for them indirectly. Beside, how many venture capitalists as you called them are ready to throw their money on some untested ideas and do you expect Canada to throw open their borders just because you have an idea ??..if you think in that direction, then rude shock awaits you. Even when we talk about how easy it is to get loans from banks in the US doesn't means they just throw open their vault for you just because you have a business idea that has not been put to use. They are many tech startups in Nigeria that started with nothing but they are doing fine now and progressing with some attracting foreign investors.Typical example of such tech startup is PAYSTACK.google them.they are less than 2yrs old. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.forbes.com/sites/mfonobongnsehe/2016/12/19/nigerian-fintech-startup-paystack-raises-1-3-million/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwjf_63s6ZLdAhWa3oMKHZYXAhUQFjAJegQIBhAB&usg=AOvVaw393G6kPQwsjXLc94ur6sYE&cf=1 |
