Hello Linzo,

I understand payment of school fees raises suspicion. However, for people who had paid the entire tuition or part and refused, what should be the way out for them? Should they request for refund so that they can show in their next application that tuition was not paid and only the requested fees by the school was paid?

Biometrics May 28th,
Eligibility review started July 23rd
Didn't do upfront Medical,
No medical mail yet and my school resumes 5th September.

Sent CIC several mails got response from lagos saying my application is in progress when finalized I will be contacted. Got the response from lagos embassy when my app was 11 weeks now it will be 14 weeks on Friday.
I am tempted to mail them again this week hope this won't show any sign of desperation? .

Any April or May applicant still waiting? coz this no update thing is really tiring. CIC sha

With respect to study gap, how can one respond to that. I obtained Bsc in 2006 (same flagged in my GCMS Note) but I have been working since then. My intended course is MBA. How do I go about responding on this?

Please is there a way of changing this moniker jnyuwa02 to something else? It seems a lot of people botch that name. You can address study gaps by showing what way you have remained academically active since leaving school, compelling the conclusion that you still have what it takes to succeed and really want to attend school if that privilege is extended to you. You can dwell on your upbringing with a love for learning and to cherish the values of learning and how that has not left you till today. You can present evidence of how you excelled in the past. You can show how your current job is related to what you want to study and the passion you have for your chosen field.

Secondly, the bank statement I used; since I did not know which address I will address the statement to I asked the bank to send it to the following address:

@Vivicintia, you mentioned earlier that the 5000CAD equivalent of 1.5m is non refundable; if it was clearly stated as non-refundable acceptance fee.............then it is what it is; however, the school would allow you defer the admission but not refund. except it is not stated as NON-REFUNDABLE on your admission letter.....in that instance you can get a refund..........................

It was stated as non refundable.
I sent a mail for deferral and they said we will pay again for deferral which is about 700,000

I can't pay that huge amount again.
I want to try for refund.
Is it possible to get refund??

Since visa was refused, I expect you to get all or most of your money back after deducting administrative fees and perhaps non refundable deposit if applicable.

It must be very painful having waited for so long. I know the feeling.

Please which school did you apply for an MBA? Did they request for GMAT/GRE scores?? I am seeking an affordable school for an MBA programme that doesn't require GMAT/GRE. Most Universities that don't require the GMAT/GRE are quite expensive.
