oluswagger: Public administration and community development .. When I was asked why I joined to study that course my response was ''Would love to impact and bring development to my community the little way I can. Taking this course will help me go a long way in bringing development to my environment and community''" Something like that |

Non-payment of tuition is not a criteria for refusing Visa. As we have seen so many applicants here getting their Visa without paying a dime. But the choice is Urs tho. But it is very possible getting ur Visa without paying for school fees. All what the VO need is for you to convince him or her that you will be coming back to ur country after ur studies. Good luck muizzzz: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 8:53pm On Sep 01, 2018 |
Very Possible. But you will need to explain why u changed school in ur next application tho, cos they already have(the database of ur previous application) details and records of ur previous application. So they will definitely knw changes made. SO they wont see you changing school as being desperate. So u need to explain and convince them why the change of school. Good luck Tevs: |

Please regarding family ties in Canada and country of resindence. I have an aunt in Canada and I stated it in my second application. She’s a citizen in Canada. Could that be the reason why they denied me stating family ties in Canada also? Because I included all my siblings documents here in Nigeria to serve as strong home ties. In my third application, I didn’t state I have a relative in Canada. Considering the fact that they already have the information in their system, what do I do to address the issue of family ties in Canada?. I need suggestions please . Thanks |

Frankrobbn1: I didn't disclose her pregnancy in my SOP but I clearly stated that I am married and even attached our marriage certificate. My brother is my only sponsor but i provided evidential document of bequeathed property and stated that my wife would be the one collecting rents from my tenants to fend for herself and our child in Nigeria while am studying in Canada. I have no company and I clearly stated this in my SOP. Thanks for the advise brother. I will apply for GCMS note. |

Carlz1:Well I feel this rejection after sending cic mail is common with paper route, has your eligibility started before the delay mail came? Is the v.o still in charge of updating applicants profile that instead of updating your profile with the document you sent, they decided to update it with delay mail. These guys are funny sometimes or is it that anybody that attends to application from background check to final decision is a v.o? |

I was about giving up and loosing hope till got access this page. Good work. Pls i came out with a second class lower. 3.4 Pls how true is this The agency i paid said i can't apply for masters, either professional course or college Now he is saying i have to write IELTS. Pls are all these true? Again, howmuch is ielts |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by SirVal94: 3:22am On Sep 02, 2018 |
Most universities I have seen accept first class and second class upper into masters programs. But relevant work experience + research publications, especially in a professor's research area can be an edge for a second class lower graduate. Don't forget you are competing with Indian and Asian geeks. Then about IELTS, you can find out the cost from British Council website. DRscience: |

Why am saying is I have sent up-to 3 mails to CIC offices Accra, London, and Lagos, I have not had any comments cojent from them online application just getting autoresponse, what do you advise 14weeks now..... How will one know were his application is stocked.. Since 7th of August eligibility start and went back to processing on the 8th till now.. Please do justice as usual.. |

Please let us Cancel all preconceived notions on this thread that you cannot get into a masters program with a second class lower (2:2). I got admission into an MBA program with my 2:2 and even less than 2 years work experience. Don't let agents deceive you so they can take the easy route. 3 Likes |

DRscience: Your CGPA is high..... Or did you want to type 2.4? I believe you can get admission. They also look at your last 2 years. Nothing wrong in writing a few schools to confirm. I believe they will ask you to forward your Academic Transcripts for further processing. I've not needed IELTS for Canada. Australia needed it. It is required for Ireland Visa after admission. Please look up the schools requirements yourself on their website. I believe some of them will encourage you to apply even if you do not meet the requirement. Besides meeting all the requirements does not guarantee admission as well. Some schools may offer you a pathway which is also an achievement as you are better of landing on the moon having aimed for the stars. I am not an authority here but encourage you to make inquiries yourself and along the way like with all learnings you will begin to see how easy it can be. Having graduated from the University, you have been equipped enough to perform such simple tasks. Test the waters yourself if you can before approaching agents if it gets too complicated for you. Lastly, I think you will find this topic and this forum a useful resource as some of us applied blindly only to put forth a wrong foot which messed things up for us pretty much along the way. Wished I had been aware of this forum before my first application. Google is also a friend. If you have to approach an agent, it is good to have a discussion with them from an informed angle. They will reduce the level of distortion of facts when they know you are not too ignorant or have the capacity to verify their assertions. I suspect some agents direct students to schools that might have contracted them perhaps for a fee per head upon receipt of non refundable deposit. It's like encouraging your customers to pick a brand of product which gives the seller higher margin. Lastly, I am just guessing per the previous paragraph, so quote me not! Open your eyes, pick up your keyboard, sharpen your typing fingers, dip your pen in ink and, believe! 4 Likes |

kpizzle:its not that bad actually. from 2017's 600,000 refusals only 106,867 were student TRVs . even the overall rate is impressive. 494,133/2.3 million applicants refusals . that's a huge chance of being approved if you ask me. plus " Refusal rates were highest for applicants from Africa and Middle East, with 75 per cent of applications from Somalia, Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan being rejected in the last two years." #nochilinafricaman lol chill |

DRscience: http://umanitoba.ca/faculties/graduate_studies/admissions/min_requirements.html I just did a search and can see 3.0 required in last 2 years of studies per the screenshot (Perhaps 3.0 by their own grading though). Follow the link above to read all the other requirements. You can send mail to Faculties of Graduate Studies of different Schools. Kindly check the program available and tuition fees if you are concerned about fees before proceeding with the mail. You may also be lucky to get some form of financial relief if you ask. I'd encourage folks to have their transcripts assessed by WES of Canada or ICAS of Canada for reusability in which case your assessed transcript can be sent to any Institution via fax or mail after receiving instruction from you for a fee of a few dollars. This is much more convenient and cost effective than going back to your school in Naija to request for transcript to be sent to different schools in Canada whenever the school's request. Please note that there is WES of Canada and WES of USA when registering. In this case, register on WES of Canada. https://www.wes.org On the drop down menu in mobile view, select Canada in the first list. The default selection may be USA.
