Dera12345: Just to mention really, I ain't a guru and I do not want to be so called. So, straight to your inquiry... If you ask me, your reason for denial is not because of your finances. As I read through, what struck me was your choice of a post secondary school diploma when you clearly stated that you have completed a B.Sc. in Biochemistry. The reasonableness of your degree is the problem (i.e. the purpose of visit). As a 2.1 graduate, what you have chosen to do in Canada is not reasonable (in the language of V.Os). As such, the officer feels you are not a genuine student. A proper career progression will either be a PGD or Master's. In fact, a Master's. I'm afraid you may be denied again regardless of how many times you apply except you look into this issue. My advice is for you to look for a Master's degree in your field and request for a refund from Centennial. You will only be charged $200 Cad. I'm sorry for the turn of events. Please don't give up. Nothing should discourage you because you have all it takes. Shalom! 1 Like |

Omowunmibaby:As a matter of fact, you can apply for SOWP along with your study permit. People only apply for study permit first so as to be able to use their spouses as home tie. 1 Like |

I dropped my passport for stamping following a passport request on Monday. Due to me being late for the September resumption at Thompson Rivers University, I have contacted the school for me to deferred to the January 2019 entry period. Will there be an issue when my TRV foil is stamped on my passport? Moreover will I be questioned when landing in Canada in December? |

Hello everyone. Please, can you guys help me with the link to the web form? I think its high time I write to CIC. Unfortunately, my program director said I can't defer my admission. I can only reapply if I don't meet the Sept 16th deadline and re-admission is not guaranteed. So I have to shoot my shot with the VOs today. I did upfront medical already. |

Dera12345: I believe sometimes the VO's like guidance counselors try to put you on a path you may better appreciate in future. Unless you have a strong reason and personal conviction on your previous program choice, they may be nothing wrong in moving on up. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Dera12345(f): 4:23pm On Sep 05, 2018 |
galala123: Yes I do, the post secondary diploma program is more of practical studies, and field placement is one of the courses in the course program outline offered in the 2nd and 3rd semester of study. I don’t know why the VO is seeing it somehow. |

[quote author=Dera12345 post=70925413] studied biochemistry working in a steel company and then applying for a program related to environmental management doesn't add up. you don't even have any proof that you genuinely work there. pay slips, salary account, income tax etc. It's painful you have all other necessary details just didn't show much progression in studies |

Smileyin: Do you mean to say you have not done your bionetrics? I submitted an online application yesterday and just this morning I got the biometric collection letter. I just tire for these Canadian people, they are just damn unpredictable. |

So I landed in Montreal yesterday 4pm Montreal time. The only thing the border officer uttered was "Hey, welcome. can I see your passport". I passed it to him. He then entered it onto his system, stamp it, went behind his desk, printed out my Study Permit and passed it to me with my passport. Then he said "Welcome to Canada, that's it". I said "Thank you, have a lovely day". That was it. No questions asked. No correspondence letter asked (If he had asked I didn't even have it printed out, it was on my phone since I got in transit. to Canada). Nothing about my school or where I am going to. nada. 11 Likes |
