It's written in such a way that anybody even if you have never seen a financial report in your life can not only read and understand but begin to do routine analysis of financial reports. Yayira: @ Yayira pls try to pay less attention to MINOT matters. Am sure u should understand why. ...this things happen. Let me tell u what I learnt from an old man recently; He said: Sinclair, in the midst of every situation, ALWAYS remember that it takes more than one person to make an argument BUT more than ur person, to deter ur goals. ...and when I asked what he meant, he said: when u pay LESS attention to arguments that are not in line with ur vision, then ur mission will remain INTACT. For some folks, u can't change the way they think. ...peoples attitude will tend to always reflect the way they perceive things. They live on the lifeless assumption that someone else is me. But anyone is free to assume things in their head. ...for as long as its done without a recourse to insult or ridicule, it DOESN'T bother me at all. When ur conscious is clear, ur MINDSET will be well ALIGNED. My FOCUS here is to grow my investment portfolio, improve on my financial know-how and help as many as I can in that line. ...every other thing is inconsequential !! 10 Likes 1 Share |

When Forte oil sells the subsidiaries... Amperion power, FUS and Ghana APOG.... 1. Will the non controlling interest remain the same? 2. Is there any knowledge as to what these funds will be used for? 3. How does Dangote refinery affect the new Forte oil produced from this spinoff? Cc... Wanajo, Pluto09, MH, MPeace, Mendes |

wanaj0:Price not moving well at the moment. 83kobo and falling. I did see it as a pump and dump thing. I know for sure that they will now present a fantastic q3 to raise the price. Most private placements are done at premium, so infact, they didn't even value their company above 1.20 |

swilo: Below is the little I can say. My oga's can add more or point out any correction. 1. Will the non controlling interest remain the same? It will not remain the same depending on how much of their share is diversified in those subsidiaries (Total or partial diversification). You should also note that the more they diversify (away from the subsidiary), the lesser the NCI effect and also the lesser the income from those diversified/discontinued operations. 2. Is there any knowledge as to what these funds will be used for? Their only commitment so far are expansion of downstream fuel distribution and further investment in storage infrastructure. 3. How does Dangote refinery affect the new Forte oil produced from this spinoff? There's yet no confirmation on what the "new" Forte Oil will be, I don't see any difference though except that this move will free up cash for the company (cash that might rightly be re-invested or squandered). Unless Dangote decides to use FO as sole distributor of his products, one cannot say for sure what the friendship between Dangote and Femi will fetch FO, there's no clarity yet. 2 Likes |

The questions to really ask are: 1. How did these subsidiaries impact on the performances of FO when they were subsidiaries? 2. What gains will these subsidiaries bring to the table now that they will be sold? 3. What cash proceeds will the disposals bring to the cash inflow of FO? My take: A number of listed companies are always not truthful about the gains on disposal accruing to the business they mostly manage. Some will declare that they sold at loss and meanwhile they have found a way of depressing the assets and magnifying the liabilities of such subsidiaries. It will be interesting to note how much of FO debts have gone into financing its subsidiaries and how much of those debts FO will eventually have to bear. I am excited about Mr Otedola's hobnobbing with Dangote and would have loaded FO seriously but you never can tell how the mind of these rich men works. Mr Otedola may decide to float a new company that will benefit most from this Refinery arrangement and trust me, it is FO marketing network that they will still want to use. Like the name of one of our Oga here: They are all AGBALOWOMERI. Should one buy FO or not. I do not know. But it would not be a bad idea to get AFOLABI units in FO. Some foreign guys bought at close to N300 per share. Buying at N20 may not be bad. swilo: 4 Likes |

swilo: This may help: https://www.proshareng.com/news/Stock%20&%20Analyst%20Updates/Forte-Oil-Plc--Will-Planned-Divestment-Unlock-Value-/41648 Summary ''Therefore, on our revised numbers, we now have a blended FVE of N34.35 (vs N61.44 in previous communication) using a blend of DCF and Residual Income with respective weights at 50% each. Relative to last closing price, this translates to 58.3% premium and a BUY rating on the shares.
