A few things to note,
1. I applied for a fiancé visa for my wedding on 01/09/2018. I didn’t have to pay for the IHS as this visa is only for 6 months and I would have switched to a spouse visa after marriage. We had put down wedding deposits for a venue, caterer, etc. Due to the delay, we lost almost £6k in deposits because our wedding insurance couldn’t cover everything.
2. We did our traditional wedding in June in Lagos and My greatest regret was not just going to the registry and going for full spouse visa but I thought it was the most straightforward application.
3. 4 different guests who used our wedding IV cards for their visa application as proof of purpose of visits all had their visas way before mine.
4. A few hours after the email to collect my passport, I fainted and needed emergency surgery as I had a ruptured appendix that previously gave no symptoms. My husband had to come 2 days after and he’s still with me.
5. I’ll end up going back to the UK at the end of the month or whenever I’m stronger.

With the benefit of hindsight, you should have done priority considering you had made wedding plans already but I guess no one would have thought the process would take that long.

In our case, we had our registry wedding in January but scheduled and planned our white wedding for July (deposits made, date set and invites sent out). Submitted priority application in March and got the visa in April *phewwww* but I must confess, the anticipation was stressful so I would advise anyone to make application and get the visa before making concrete plans about wedding in UK.

Once again, so sorry for what you've been through..relax and follow you hubby back to the UK.

Also, is there anyone who's used the GTBank dollar card to make these payments?

I did biometrics since 22 may 2018, got a mail on 28 Aug 2018 that decision has been taken, which was about the 70th day, but since then I haven't heard anything, sent escalation mail to visa Sheffield but they said it's no more within their capacity, though they will help escalate to passport handlers( which I guess is tls). And it's not updated on the tracker, that decision has been made or that my passport is ready.
Pls what do u suggest I do? Waiting 70 days wasn't easy for me, not to be be increasing to 80 days as we speak. Thank you

If the TLS office is not so far from where you are I would suggest you pop in there... I read on facebook about someone whose vignette had expired before he/she received pick up email from the TLS office.

I really hope you can help me with my million and one questions lol.

I met my husband in 2008 we done traditional engagement we went on and had our first child in 2010 January prior to me having the baby my husband applied for visitors visa which he was refused on the basis of funds.

After the birth of my second child he applied to enter the UK as a student in 2012 but was also refused as the agent he used produced fraudulent bank statement which was then flagged up by ECO and attracted a 10 year ban.

My question to all the gorus in the house is...now that we are legally married (marriage conducted in Lagos Ikoyi) and I'm currently working and I meet the financial requirements, I can prove that both kid are his (dna) do we stand a chance to go down the spousal route?

I have done my own personal research and found out that marriage (spousal route) supersedes any ban however it is ultimately down to the ECO discretion.

Please all constructive advise is well come.

Don't discount the reality of the 28 days rule.... If you read the requirements for application, it is stated.
Do you think due to their error, they overlooked the almighty 28 with your application?

Please dont encourage others to go against the stated rule. That it worked (luck) for you doesnt render it void. You can give it a trial for your on-coming spouse visa.

There is high probability they will grant the visa,though IHS fee is compulsory but they request for payment if not paid while applying mostly for applications that will be granted

Ok! so hubby and eye did our registry in april i thnk. he is a british citizen. we have a daughter who is 18months who was born in the United states but we applied for her British passport early this yr in Feb and we have that too. So naija don tire me oo, we plan to join him soon. We had to wait for the 6 months pay slip which wil b complete by d end of d month and yr it equates to 18600 at d end of d yr. He has all d tenancy agreement documents we used for our daughter passport application. i work for the government here and can include my payslips. I did my masters in d UK so dnt nid d NARIC cert or ielts! i thnk im almost ready to go. my P now is communication log oooo. we dont do facebook or bbm. jst watsapp and i change fones constantly and end chats too once my fone starts to hang. so dont hv chats that go wayyy back. we have some pictures from our trad, our registry, during my dotas birth he was der too and her 1st bday which we also celebrated in d US early ds yr. do i really hv any think to b scared of? lastly plz how do i print out the pictures? picture cards or on plain paper? plz i nid help wt these and any other info needed. tnx
