Why I Prefer Vicious Dogs by Nobody: 12:24am On Sep 02, 2018 |
I have loved dogs ever since I was a kid, at the age of 7 I kept on bugging my dad to get me a dog so he got me a local breed puppy, the puppy was very friendly and grew and continued being friendly because we didn't keep it confined and away from strangers. Later on we got a driver, and this man will be kicking the dog when it came near him, even if the dog is minding his business he will still kick it for being near him, I kept on complaining to my mom but she didn't care. Luckily for the dog he was rarely at home, he's always going out and coming back late, sometimes we will not even see him for days so because of that the driver will not see any dog to kick. Later on my dad gave the dog away because he didn't like the way the dog was roaming about, he was worried about rabies and he is cheap so he does not want to vaccinate it, so he gave it away. After a few years when I turned 9yrs old, a family freind brought me a mixed breed dog, it was an Alsatian mixed with local breed and terrier, that dog was very active, it barked at strangers but then I made a big mistake by socialising him then he became too friendly, if I refused to socialise him he would have been very vicious because he really had the potential but unfurtunately I over socialised him and it made him very naive, he trusted people too much. Later on my mom hired one man like this to be washing clothes and taking care of thcompound and guarded, at first he loved the dog I had, he played with it alot then suddenly I don't know what happened, the guy was always flogging the dog mercilessly, the dog does not even shit anyhow in the compound so I kept on complaining to my mom and guess what? She didn't give a shit, later on luckily for the dog the man quit and no longer worked for us, so the dog finally got to rest anyway, after some years the dog became old and died of some kind of fever and I was grown at the time too no longer a little kid and I decided and swore never to socialise any dog I get again and I didn't now as an Adult I have 2 vicious dogs that will not hesitate to bite anybody that messed with them, they are completely unfriendly, if they don't know you and you go and touch them they will mule you, they are not even friendly to our house workers, I keep then caged up and chained up all the time and let them loose at night, one of them is so vicious he almost bit my dad but ThankGOD I stoped him and he almost bit my little cousin too he had the boy cornered and was about to mule him but luckily for him I cought the dog by the collar and put it back in the cage. Because of the viciousness and unfriendly attitude non of our house workers went near them so the is no chance of abusing the dogs unless if they are chained up or caged up but even if they are chained or caged up nobody dare abuse them, let anybody try it and see, I will gut that person like a fish with my daga or or hack that person with my machete because I'm no more a kid like before, I'm grown. I don't care what people say, I will never socialise any of my dogs again and I will never keep a friendly dog again, socialised friendly dogs are too gullible, they trust people too much and they refuse to defend themselves if people are mistreating due to their over friendly nature. Today I don't even trust anybody with my dogs because of what hapoened when i was a kid even if im going to travel I will not pick anybody to take care of my dogs I will be very careful of who I hire, that person most have a passion for dogs and must be experienced in dog handling only then, I would introduce him to my dogs and get my dogs to accept him as their caretaker. 2 Likes |

Hmm, you seem to have a long passionate history with dogs right from childhood. Nice one there. Make sure you marry someone who shares this same passion else it will end up in misery. |

Op, you need to social your dog, cos it's one of the things that make them dogs. You'll be raising a killing machine instead and your own safety might be at stake. As Demivonkrone stated, you have to create a balance. Let your dog know when to guard up, and when to loosen guard. THE very first Boerboel I ever came in physical contact with was a neighbor's. We used to chat and he used to ahobme her pix on whatsapp, until we fixed an appointment in an open field just in front of their compound. The dog was all crazy about me,locking me and testing her front legs on me as she stood erect. Each time I ran, she charged after me. The owner kept on shouting to me not to run that I was triggering her pray instinct and crazy thing was he was very far from me and the dog. Confused me was wondering whether or not I could me mulled by a dog for staying stationary, or I should run for my life cos this dog owner doesn't seem to know what he was saying (I later found out years later that he was right). Cut the long story short.... I was holding her chain and we were having fun, until it was time for her to be taken inside and I attempted to stroll in with them. I had never entered the compound before then. I noticed the owner diplomatically collected her chain from me few metres to the gate and they both led in front. The dog went in first, turned, and allowed her master in, then stayed at the centre of the pedestrian gate. She charged crazily at me when I attempted to come in, it was the swift counter action from the owner that pulled hard against the leash that saved me from attack that day. She started barking like her life depended on it and never allowed me into the compound. If you ask me, I will say that is a socialised dog that knows when to be friendly with strangers, and when to guard her territory. 3 Likes |
