Danielnino00: I know this is a faceless forum. Unless you know Moses personally and he expressed his lack of commitment you can not make that prejudiced unsubstantiated statement about him in bold. The idea that everybody knows, is either a reflection of you lack of life experience or you simply just not very wise. Because I certainly DON'T KNOW. Then you go on to say, "Whatever was causing him discomfort - - - is none of our business". Consider what you are saying , does that make any sense to you. That's a very callous and uncaring thing to say. We are concerned that's why this matter is being discussed. It is a VERY BIG DEAL without doubt he has been a star performer for the SE over many years. Then out of the blue he resigns at such a very young age. And the response to many is good riddance that's simply very poor. We should all be concerned, It tells us that all is not well in the SE. Which is not necessarily breaking news, the NFF has never been far from controversy of one issue or the other. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Truidstar: There are two main components to this issue of ethnic origin and or tribe. Echiejile grew up in Benin and his environmental influences are primarily Benin, Edo then add to that that's he also from Edo state. Makes him doubly Edo. For instance AY popular comedian may indeed be Yoruba by ethnic origin. But his entire growing environmental influences are birthed from being brought up in Warri. He describes himself as a "Warri boy" first before anything else. |

Joebie: Particularly those that have hardly left their regions. There are many that believe anybody from the North is an Hausa. There are some that also believe Edo, Delta, Rivers, etc are Igbos. To them if you are not Hausa or Yoruba then you are "Ibo". 1 Like |

Icon4s: I am sorry to use the term Ignorance but it's something I come across quite often. Some people have such limited life experience and parochial view of Nigeria that they think Uhrobo, Ijaw, Ikwrre, Ogoni, etc are Ibo. The Anioma people of Delta may be related to the Igbo but do not consider themselves as Igbo, I mean the Ika, Kwale, people to mention just a few. 1 Like |

komekn: Firstly, on the issue of ignorance of ethnicities in Nigeria. You will be amazed that even people that call themselves professors are also guilty of this. There are people who have hardly left their region yet have read about the different ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. But there are still some that have not gone out and yet have chosen not to read. I know how difficult it was back then in my school days convincing some people that Urhobo, Ijaw, Ibibio, Efik, Bini and co are not Igbos. I know the serious quarrel I had with some one back then when he told me Lawrence Aneni is "Ibo". I told him to his face that he is an illiterate. Something that didn't go down well with him. Then on the issue of Anioma, Ika, Ikwerre not being Igbo. I just want to tell u in summary that they are Igbos. If I go deep down into this discussion I will derail this thread. 3 Likes |

Make una carry this yeye talk comot from here. Somebody said Ikwerre no be igbo where as their culture, tradition, food, dressing, language, names are Igbo. Tomorrow now we go here say those Ezza(umuezeoka, umuikwo et al) that were politically seeded to Benue no igbo again. Or may be tomorrow we go here say Egbema people that were cut off from Imo to Rivers State no be Igbo again. He even went as far as trynna call Anioma a non-Igbo clan? Ur ignorance no be here. So brother, if they aint igbo, who are they? Maybe their tribe is "we South South people" as Edo people always describe themselves 2 Likes |
