Icon4s: The owner of This Day publications Nduka Obiagbona is from Agbor. They speak Ika the language is also mixed with some Bini words and it's not just dialect difference it's far greater disparity between the two languages. An Ika man does NOT consider himself IGBO in any way AT ALL, by the way I have spoken to a lot of prominent Agbor citizens including Obiagbona and not one of them consider themselves Igbo. Even those from Ibusa, Ogwash and further up the road and closer to Onitsha do not consider themselves as IGBO. So maybe you have limited experience of the Nigerian ethnic tribal demographics disparities and origins. You should do more research first hand and academic. |

Icon4s: Name is not the overwhelming consideration for Tribal definition. Across Agbor and people have names such as Idehen a clear Bini name. It doesn't make them Bini. In Uhrobo land Okpara Okoro are popular names it doesn't make them Igbo. |

Icon4s: U dey talk of Nduka, Obiagbona nko? Are those two names Ashanti names? We all know why some of them dont consider themselves igbos but like the saying goes, the tiger never lose its spots. |

komekn: A village has the name okpara Okoro and u never cared to know how the name came about since u claim to be smart. It only means okpara Okoro was the first settler in that land and those people living there today are his offsprings and in proper igbo tradition, they cant inter marry Now, tell me the overwhelming consideration of tribal definition, I wan learn more 3 Likes |

Lol Ekong is tipping his captain, John Obi Mikel to join him in the Italian Serie A. Trust me, attitude defines a person more than character. That Mikel is the most respected in the Eagles today by his team mates, is because of his attitude towards the team. Same cant be said of vicMoses who is indifferent about the team despite his status and age. Iwobi will the next class act because his attitude is top notch. He has that burning desire 4 Likes |

komekn: You are the one making up the story and theories.. All the time Moses was with the national team, the only issue he was having was his lack of commitment. If there was an feud anywhere, the media would report it.. Moses himself would have come out clear.. Mikel has been having issue with the NFF and past SE coaches, he didn't retire Enyeama had issues with Oliseh,he spoke his mind and retired IK Uche,Yobo and Osaze had issues with the late Keshi... My point is whatever issue Moses had with the NFF is not really our business cus he isn't the first...Its a normal thing... But however,Moses never at any point said anything about a feud with the NFF...so we will just assume there's none... Let Moses enjoy his retirement in peace...we can do well without him 2 Likes |

I actually take him seriously. Does he have to come your home or transfer money to your account before u take him seriously? Yes anyone can claim anything on this forum, but we are all in the same boat. Some people are well travelled and have a rich experience of cultures, you can choose to believe or not. Joebie: Hahaha, I once entered a Chinese restaurant in the Middle East, I told them I am a Nigerian. And they were like "where is Nigeria? in America"? There is a particular top-up card(forgotten the name) in the US we normally load to call our people back home. It has jungle trees and animals drawn on it. I was like "so this is the perception this people have about Africa"? |

Joebie: Nops, he is clearly supporting there claim. You saw how he jumped to claim people of Igbanke are closer to Esan than to the Igbos but when I gave him a link he mellowed. I have a science/engineering back ground but I also developed very keen interest in History, Geography and Economics. |

Hahaha I remember that call card. Sometimes you don’t necessarily have to travel to know. People shouldn’t be lazy about finding out about these things. Nigeria’s unity depends on we all getting to understand our different tribes and appreciating the uniqueness in our diversity. If you asked me I would say they should be a subject dedicated to this issue made compulsory in Nigerian schools. Icon4s: |

Farzat: Lollll...it is a faceless forum people can always claim to be who they're not. I still remember one guy called Idris in the defunct kick off Nigeria... he claimed he was in US with the super eagles...only to make fool of himself when one of the forumites who happens to be living in USA made all efforts to see him but he kept on dogding. dude was never in the USA probably in one of those ghettos in nigeria where he had access to a mobile phone to claim a fake life. |

Joebie: We used to have social studies. But I understand it has been scrapped and merged with something else to form a New subject. Knowing about people and places comes majorly from interest. You don't have to travel to a particular region and live with them to know about their way of life. As I said before, personal interest to know about what goes on outside your environment is key here. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 12:49pm On Sep 15, 2018 |
Social Studies scrapped? Wow. Well like I said it has to be dedicated to the subject in question and made compulsory just like math and English. You repeat if u fail. Icon4s: |
