the closing price is the benchmark. As at today 1 unit of Union bank shares is worth 5.25 naira.so if your mum bought 100000 units of the bank then, the physical worth today is 5.25×100000 which is 525000 naira.depending on the amount of units she bought. The dividend paid through this yrs will come in separately.

Oga, it seems you guys didn't know UBN was one of the banks Sanusi changed its management. Since that anointing, none of those banks have recovered.

They shrunk their shares in 2016 @ 3:16. Assuming the 100,000 units of UBN shares you used, the current holding would be (100,000/16)*3 =18,750 units. Then the value would be 18,750*5.25=98,438 naira.

Welcome to NSE

Understanding how Binary Options Work:

The first and most important thing to understand before you begin trading is how binary options actually work. In binary trading, you will have to predict the outcome of a situation. This type of online trading is called “binary” options, because a trade can have two outcomes. Guide on the Best Binary Options Winning Strategies

Binary options trading can be highly rewarding for those traders who understand this concept and are able to make the right choices and are careful. Binary trading isn’t gambling and by using binary options strategies it’s possible to increase one’s winning ratio and generate profits. You can get the easy guide on https://cll.press/6vzbdh
Good luck!

Binary option is the scam Of The 21st century.
Firstly, there's no liquidity so the only way the brokers can profit is if you lose your money. Tell me why they'll want you to win.

Oh OK,now I understand.
My main question though is the step I need to make in order to get it. Do I just walk into union bank and ask for registrar's or what?
Thank you sir.

MSCI PORTFOLIO MOVEMENT- AS AT 24 SEPTEMBER 2018/GENERAL COMMENT

MSCI “sleeping do not disturb”. Quiet market expected for the day.

For the expected trading range high and low for the day (watch for the lows this week): High to be at 32536.21 and low at 32385.83.

Today and tomorrow likely to be a field day for the market makers, the big money are not likely to make any substantial move between today till thursday.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan).
N:B

1. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months.

2. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market.

3. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock markt crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding.

4. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts, you will see the various sources where the data can be verified.

OK,I am not in Lagos,I checked for gtl registrals and found some numbers,I called them and one went through,he said he is in Abuja that I can come to the office with a valid idcard. I am not in Abuja presently so I have told my mom to go there but she seems skeptical about it that hope they are not 419 grin,I told her to just go first and it must be the office.

Now the main question is,what exactly are we going to claim? The money for the shares or the dividend(gains right?) .
Thanks,sorry for the many questions.

Good morning.

We begin our pre-market coverage of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Pre market runs from 9.30 to 10am daily on the NSE.

During this period, investors can place orders, but no trade occurs.

Figures will take the format Bid(k) vs Offer(k).

Bid represents the amount of stocks people want to buy.

Offer the number of stocks, people wish to sell.

K represents thousands.

Net bid means there are no offers for a stock.

Net offer means there are no buyers for a stock as at pre market.

Bid vs Offer figures are subject to change all through the day.

Access Bank 1.4 million bid vs 80k offered

Dangote Cement 50k bid vs 200 units offered

FBNH 1 million bid vs 12k offered

Seplat 50 units vs 100 units offered

UBA 5k bid vs 10k offered

Wapco 2k bid vs 2k offered

Guaranty Trust Bank 961k bid vs 1k offered

Guinness 675 units net offer

International Breweries 46 units bid vs 5k offered

Nigerian Breweries 7k bid vs 2k offered

PZ Cussons Nigeria 150k bid vs 10k offered

I also like to be guided by TECHNICALS. But its better not to pay so much attention to price.
BEST to FOCUS more on VALUE.
VALUE drives price and NOT the other way round. (price does NOT drive value)
...and real RETURNS are made from the INHERENT VALUE in a coy !!

Like I always tell folks;
When u see a 'wide gap' in VALUE too big for the current price of a FUNDAMENTALLY SOUND coy, RUN IN and ask questions later !! This is a very pivotal criterion for both VALUE and GROWTH investing.
NOTHING beats a great 'gap' between inherent VALUE and price.
...this is KEY.

Simply tell them that you bought Union Bank shares sometimes ago and you have not received any dividend since then and that you want to know how many shares you are having now because of the reconstruction of shares they did sometimes ago.
You can always ask any questions that borders you through their whatsapp no - 08115140111

they need to mandate her account,so that her past dividend and future dividend paid by union bank will go into her savings, pending when you are ready to sell your shares. The registrars will do that for her.

I mentioned this UBA few days ago to veecovee, it was trading between 7.15 and 7.25...... it is 8.30 today.
Just pointing it out. Not a recommendation please. I'm not in it either. Just an update to him.
Mcy56:
Why gtb and why on Monday by the way?
There are other good stocks that can give better returns than gtb. Uba is one of them. Not saying gtb is not good o.
