This front loader Garbage Truck has two powered forks mounted in front of it . These forks are used to lift the waste container up and above the truck .It is then tilted so that the waste falls into the press room.

The waste in the back of the vehicle is then pressed with a pressure plate while the waste container is restored to the ground.





Basically there are five types of rubbish cars: Rear loaders, the most common and also widely used in Nigeria, the Front loaders, the Roll Off Trucks (picks waste container from dump sites) ,Grapple Trucks and the Side loaders.

We can't even use this type in Lagos or Nigeria because you can see how refuse bin is always overloaded, before the truck moves it up, it would have littered everyplaces. No body even came to assist. And see how fast and smart the driver is, but here, na one old man that supposed to have retired will be struggling with the steering.

Waste management used to be effective in Lagos before xoxo but nothing to write about as at present. This is what he should be doing. Provide logistics to get the job done and train personnel

We need a reliable power supply to be able to be inventing or being aware of other creative projects out there.

This is an eyesore. Why are the giant waste bins on the streets? Ambode should know they will abuse it by throwing wastes indiscriminately, even on the floor! He needs to get this right during his second term, bi ko!

This the type of truck used in The Terminator movie Na. The first Terminator of 1982. The technology is not new. Since 70's paapaa, they've been using this. It's just entering Nigeria now.

That was a foolish comment . Refuse skips are sometimes overloaded abroad too, only that they have people who assist the refuse truck driver to do the dirty job.
