First, create an account on wes.org, and choose: "Course-by-Course Report", if you are planning to stay in the USA after graduating, add "ICAP" to the Credential Evaluation. Pay WES the necessary fees online with your Mastercard or Visa card. Then;

Download the "International Transcript Request Form" and print 2 copies.

Go to the 2 different schools, tell them that you need to send your transcripts to an Organization in the USA - WES. The address to use for the Transcript is boldly written on the "International Transcript Request Form"

Make sure you submit 1 copy of the "International Transcript Request Form" each to the 2 schools, Fill part A of the form and inform them that whoever is going to sign the Transcript MUST fill, sign and stamp Part B of the form.

Follow the procedure to get transcripts from each of the schools.

Read the all the posts to get a clear roadmap/instructions to follow.

Then, the schools will send the transcript to WES.

Admission in the USA is like job hunting, you need a strong profile, great grades (even low grades), if you have had a strong practical experience in your field, that's excellent, Statement of Purpose (SOP), not all school require it for Masters degree, strong CV/Resume - strong leadership skills, great score in GRE - not all school require GRE for Masters degree (if you are a STEM student - just as you are, then your Quant Score need to be impressive), Letters of recommendation (LOR) - you dont need people with High-Title (that is the mistake most people make), you only need people who can vouch for your seriousness to study, hard-work, diligent, leadership skills. Do you have a HND? Are you evaluating for BSc equivalence? If so, what you need to send to them are your HND transcripts (Preferably sent directly to them by your Institution) and a photocopy of your HND degree certificate or statement of result (make a photocopy of what you have and send to them). Your secondary school certificates are not necessary if you're evaluating for Bsc.

Note: in some cases they may send the documents back to your school by postal mail and email to confirm that these documents originated from them, if that happens, keep in touch with your school to ensure the documents arrived and are being confirmed. I heard in some institutions they may require you pay some money for your credentials to be confirmed.

Just to be clear since i do not know what you're evaluating for, they need BOTH transcripts and certificates

You’re welcome. As per your question, after your HND is evaluated to BSc, you’re qualified to apply when Bachelor’s Degree is a requirement, that’s why you evaluated your HND Degree in the first place.

Though I told him I have seen testimony of some of my people on Nairaland but at the same time I can't tell him that he is lying as our culture don't encourage that.

so my Oga... I have hnd 4rm yabatech b4 but because of lack of information I wasted Tim on direct entry spend another 2years to get bsc ,the truth is that I did not learn anything new in the unilag academic.
So its just a name bsc ,hnd .
Presently I have msc from university of Manitoba ,but I applied with my hnd becos its either bsc or its equvilent and WES confirmed HND is equvilent to bsc even higher in d case of ENGR .
So pls u can apply to any school of your choice ,even some university graduate might not get admission into usa university becos of their curriculum its not technical in the case of engineering they might be asked to do some undergraduate courses .
I wish you come to Canada and see enough HND graduate working big in an oil and gas firm here .

Since I already did an evaluation with WES Canada in 2010, I called WES USA, opened a new account on March 3rd, 2017 and they just transferred my already verified transcripts to my new account in US (took 3 days) and the real evaluation took another 3 days. So, I got my US credential evaluation report ready in 6 working days since I didn't have to request another set of transcripts from The Polytechnic Ibadan.

The Evaluation Report came back with my 'ND' equivalent to US 'Associate degree' and 'HND' equivalent to US 'Bachelor's degree'. Thanks!
