Aina, Iwobi, Ekong and Shehu, are back from injury and they are back straight into the team.

That was the point I was making and someone was saying Noah Bazee will play 3-4 games before the Libya game and so must be invited.

We should learn to make more feasible predictions please.

Sadly that younger player is not on the list. There is no naturally gifted AM on the list. The closest we have there is an Iwobi who can step in and then a Nacho who executes the role more as an SS-CF hybrid.

If Rohr had to take out K.Nwakali then he should have included a natural AM; possibly an Ebere Eze. Making the list 25 by handing Eze a first time call up will not be bad at all.

Icon4s:

Time we started building this team around a younger player. Mikel will not likely be in Qatar. Time for Iwobi to step up and take over the AM role.

And of course Ebere Eze will provide us more options in the midfield.

Well, it appears Kelechi Nwakali is not ready and so needs to go back to the oven to continue the baking.
Iwobi is a naturally gifted AM rated higher than K.Nwakali. Even if Nwakali was in this team Iwobi will still start ahead of him.

I also agree Ebere Eze deserved this opportunity with the absence of Mikel and Joel.

Honestly Dad, what I see for the Eagles attack going forward are quite multiple.

Isaac Success is looking really good and back to reckoning. I foresee a partnership reborn as back in the days of the U-17s between Success and Iheanacho... CF and SS perfect Combo. Success' beastly physical qualities, drive, speed, finishing, technical touch + Iheanacho's Vision, Technical nous, intelligence and spatial awareness.

The Success-Iheanacho(CF/SS) combo could be another great option down the months and years for us. Even in a 4-3-3, both could still feature as CF, and RWF respectively but guys like Chukwueze and Kalu can make the RWF theirs too.

We indeed more tactical options when Success is brought into the equation. smiley

I pray Success keeps this up. The Beast is back.

Let the K.Nwakali baking in the Oven continue. I wholeheartedly agree.

But with no natural AM on that list of midfielders in Mikel's absence, I hope Rohr can look the way of Ebere Eze in the nearest future. The kid is another real deal talent in the CAM role.

And yes, Iwobi is wayyy above any of the CAM prospects we are even looking at be it K.Nwakali, Ebere Eze or even Ejaria. But I hope Rohr deploys him there oooo coz Rohr sees Iwobi as an LM and LW first and I hope that changes soonest. I really hope to see Rohr deploy Iwobi in the AM role since we have the likes of Simon Moses and Onyekuru on the left in this list. Even Ahmed Musa is present (even though he can also be deployed as a CF- best in a two man attack).

We go see shaa.

You are right. Dunk and Duffy haven't exactly been awesome but they still remain Hughton's most reliable duo at the back. They were there when they survived relegation last season and obviously are well trusted by Hughton. Leon is obviously the first option in defence the coach turns to when either Dunk or Duffy is not available but when those two are in, Leon benches. But hopefully shaa, maybe Leon will eventually grow on Chris Hughton. wink

. Lmao. Sounds so weird grin

Alexander Iwobi is a Natural AM. He is naturally not a Winger.

K. Nwakali is talented no doubt. But at this stage of the game you require more than talent.

To your last paragraph, Rohr has met with others as well without any progress on sight. the truth is Iorfa will not be invited on the back of his performances several years ago alone. If he is currently having lots of game time and he is ignored, yiu will have a good argument in your hands coupled with the fact that Aina got his breakthrough in SE from the Championship as well, we have Semi Ajayi and Jamilu Collinsaso from the 2nd-tier. Don’t cry about Iorfa until he starts having enough game time.

As it stands currently under normal circumstances Dominic does not merit a call up.

However, I used the term normal circumstances.

But I was referring to the period when he was a regular for Wolves who were in the Championship at the time. He made is commitment and Rohr even visited him.

However, he invited to camp a few youth players but not Dominic.

I am asking people to not be superficial but have some depth in looking at the issues. Considering the involvement of Dominic senior in contesting presidency with Amaju.

Is it wrong knowing how our politics of election always ends in animosity, rancour and hostility. To speculate as to thier being other reasons for his exclusion.

As much as I like the newly released list, I still have to voice out some things that are totally wrong with the list.

It is atrocious leaving out Afelokhai for a player who plays second fiddle to his back up(Dauda) in Enyimba. Also, when are we gonna cap Ebere Eze? Mikel and Joel didnt make it for some obvious reasons yet the coach didnt seize the opportunity to hand Ebere his maiden call up.

Bros, I weak o. Leon Balogun's own is the one that gives me the biggest heart ache. Each time the dude has been given a chance to play, he's always been B&H's best defender, and yet the coach always choses to start him on the bench. And it isn't as if the team has been playing great without him either shocked

Strange!

O pari

Duffy and Dunk are the heart of Brighton and Hove team

Balogun will not start any league game as long as either of them are fit

I am actually pro nothing.

I actually think that in the context of strikers both of them are very poor.

However our options are so limited that the, available has become desirable in the absence of anything better.

KC has been very poor for a £25 million player bought as a striker. Ighalo in the colors of the SE has also been poor, but not in his league where he has a good scoring record . Albeit not the best league.

It's for that reason before Injury stopped his progression, I called for OBAGOAL who I felt offered more than both of them.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 4:42pm On Oct 01, 2018
Very true. Iwobi is a natural AM. It is just that Arsenal deploy him more as an LM/LW (also because they have an Ozil in AM) and Rohr have also utilised him more on the left of attack/midfield more. I hope he finally uses this opportunity in the absence of Mikel and with the non-availability of any AM options/prospects outside Iwobi to finally play Iwobi through the middle.

He is natural AM that can also function as an LM, RM and as LW and RW.
