The Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has said that the state government will pay the 13th month salary bonus for the workers of the State tomorrow, December 24th, 2013.
Aregbesola made the promise today during the inauguration of the first batch of the newly acquired mass transit buses for the members of Road Transport Employees Association of Nigeria and the National Union of Road Transport Workers.
His words ” Our workers are currently being paid their November salary, they are already getting their various bank alerts and the 13th month which is the 100% of their basic salary as a bonus for the festive period will be paid tomorrow while their December Salary will be paid after Christmas celebration”

Another Promise Kept as Aregbesola Pays 13th Month to Workers


The workers of the State of Osun are currently in their various banks making withdrawals after receiving the alerts of the payment of the 13th month bonus salary for the festive season as promised by the governor.
The 13th month bonus is the 100% of the basic salary being paid by the government to the workers during festive period like this since Aregbesola came to office.
It would be recalled that the Ogbeni Aregbesola promised yesterday that the workers will get their 13th month salary today and the December salary will be paid next week.

Nobody is saying oil is in Osun here. The fact that the oil windfall was used to reward workers for no particular reason and that same Osun state is now bankrupt is worth highlighting to me.
Today we have Buhari crying that PDP squandered oil windfall at federal level but APC states did worse at state level and tomorrow's oil price may not be as a good as APC is having it today. Threads like these are needed to help us avoid mistakes of the past.

APC and PDP are both guilty and it may happen again with the kind of sharing schemes Buhari/Osinbajo are doing in Abuja.
The workers being paid extra salary here, does their effort have any impact on the international price of oil? NO, but the governor rewarded them and no one saw the error in that until the oil money reduced and according to Buhari, PDP government suddenly became a waster, forgetting that there are APC states who wasted their own share on free feeding schemes and handouts.
Today the FG is repeating that same mistake and we are applauding wastage under the guise of social cash transfer schemes.

Oil price is almost $90 dollars now.

What is Osun doing now? Or better,why has Buhari refused to help out Osun workers with the oil windfall he is silently packing money?
