Trapping: Exactly one year ago. Missed fall 2017 resumption and this was understandable cos I submitted late September. Deffered to Sept 2018 and have missed it now. No update on application. Everytime I write them it is generic message. Since profile changed to medical request pass, it's been dormant. It's pretty ridiculous what these people are doing. Very bad. Thank God I have a job I love and did not put my life on the hold for these guys. USASK full dean scholarship recepient. I don't think the schook will hold my award in perpetuity. I am starting to forget about this visa thing let them get back to me at their own time, I can't afford to worry or have hypertension. 7 Likes |

jnyuwa02: I'm speechless, but I like your spirit bro! Yours is over 52wks. ♂️ At first I wasn't bothered about my application until a fortnight ago when my 9wks processing time lapsed. I think the best one could give this CIC snail thing is optimism. Get back to work and come back every 7 days to fulfill all righteousness. No doubt the American consulate subjective interview is far better than this. You get to know your fate in a few hours. 2 Likes |

Good Morning Nairalanders, I need some gurus to any latest applicant to assist with this? Please I need someone to shed light on this form I came across on the cic page.IMM5832E, guess it was recently uploaded for Nigeria Applicants,September to be precise I am planning to apply and planned doing upfront medical to aid my application, but I read a statement on the sheet saying (Do not undergo a medical exam until advised by this office. Medical results may take up to 4 weeks)does it mean you cant do upfront medical with your application anylonger?) Any september applicant in the house who did upfront medical and any update? Please I would appreciate a FAst RESPONSE.[/quote] |

sflamez: This particular letter for the ESL program has no expiring date, so if you have paid the non refundable deposit your good to go. Besides you don’t need to worry about a new admission letter unless CIC requests for one. Just wait on your app |

Philadelphia: As long as they can show the require funds your good to go, besides it doesn’t sound like you have much of an option. Submit and commit to God’s hands |

042viber12: A bit clumsy to describe and it depends on where you are coming from. From Obalende you should be able to find a tricycle (Ask these cyclists) to Kofo Abayomi street that could be your best bet. But the closest landmarks are Bonny Camp, American embassy street from the main road and CitiBank, after entering Ozumba Mbadiwe street from Bonny Camp it's the first turn to your right just before the American embassy junction (Walter Carrington) and if from Law School you can access Anifowoshe str through first turn to your left Oniru junction/CitiBank junction both on Ozumba or once you on Ozumba Way find a bikeman, don't over pay N100 max, it's just a few streets away. *left arrow is the route via American embassy junction and right arrow is the route from Citibank junction* 2 Likes

backrub:Send an email to CIC ASAP, cos your passport shouldn't have stayed more than 7 days(normal) with them after submission. Best of luck |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Trapping(m): 7:15am On Oct 03, 2018 |
jnyuwa02: I'm not trying to sound funny. But if I were you my emails to them will be a lot more forceful. I will write with lines like: "V.O. I'm running a risk of losing my studentship with the delay of my visa application and as you may well know - I invested a lot in gaining this merit scholarship, please if there's anyway I can help to expedite the evaluation of my application kindly let me know". I believe it's undoubtedly ungodly what these V.Os' are doing to you, so there's no need for you to keep remaining in the closet. You need to let them know that you're are hurting, for me it doesn't smack of any desperation. I submitted my visa application on the 30th of August online route, I did upfront medicals I got my biometrics done the next day and the medicals have been updated as passed on the 9th of Sept. Despite that my application is just barely a month, I'm beginning to grow restless, I've even started sending them mails and I will keep bombarding them with mails until they respond and hopefully favorably. One more thing do you know the visa consulate handling your application? |

Good day guys and thanks for a great job. Please how long does it take for one to get his passport when it has been approved? It is a paper application which was linked online. This morning it shows that application has been approved, but no message yet from VFS Lagos where the passport and application was submitted or from Nairobi Kenya where the application was processed. 4 Likes 1 Share |

good morning hse, i have one question bothering me. I applied for USA and UK visas between(2002 - 2004) and was rejected ,i can't remember any details vividly again, not even the date/month i applied for both. The only thing i remember is that i applied to UK when UK just started DHL visa processing(applicant will send and recieve package via dhl). Please honorable house, how do i answer the part of the visa form that says "have you ever been denied before?" and "why". |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by alftdbts: 8:47am On Oct 03, 2018 |
jibb3rilz: Just state the obvious, mention both countries. I have been denied a US and U.K. visa in the past (If you not sure when do not put date). You don't necessarily have to provide any detail if you don't know why! Most time reasons for denial in both countries are vague sef. 2 Likes |

The humorous @galala123 where have you been. The tension here is high give us some comic relief naaa! Minute approvals since last few weeks. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by alftdbts: 9:13am On Oct 03, 2018 |
blet: You failed to add letter of sponsorship-affidavit with court seal, sign, and his signature, reference letter for sponsor (From his place of work on letterhead addressed to Canadian Embassy also disclosing his work, position, salary per hour and hw many hrs he works per wk) that all you need. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by blet(m): 9:23am On Oct 03, 2018 |
alftdbts: Thanks so much, but i Forgot to add that, he is not an employee, he owns a law firm, he is a partner there. Would he still need a reference letter for himself in this case? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Agbons101: 9:38am On Oct 03, 2018 |
you could add payslips or profits from business he is runing, sponsor letter, reference letter from company, employment letter or business documents, tax payment ID, documents showing he is a member of a cooperative body (well known cooperatives e.g engineer association of nigeria), family tree, evidence of previous involvement in ur education, sworn affidavit to support ur study abroad(because he is an extended family member)... blet: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Concate(f): 9:39am On Oct 03, 2018 |
backrub: No, my account was not updated for the passport submission. However, I tracked my submission with the reference number on the submission slip I got from vfs. I also received a mail from canada Visa application centre that my passport was ready for collection after. 2 working days. I also think you should contact cic as earlier advised by mcobex. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by alftdbts: 9:43am On Oct 03, 2018 |
blet: Yes he still needs one and all I previously stated must be there. Being a partner looks more solid from a finance/affordability perspective. Also owning the company might warrant Certificate, CAC papers and tax slips as indicated. |
