Anambra Teachers Wins Presidential Best Teachers Award, Gifted Brand New Car

President Muhammadu Buhari Present the Keys to a Brand New Car to Mrs. Grace Ezenwa, the Overall Best Winner, Best Administrator Category, of the 2018 President's Teachers' Schools Excellence Award

By Daniel Ezeigwe (Reporting From the Eagle Square, Abuja)

Anambra State, a signature name in the description of success, today, at the prestigious Eagle Square, the centre of Nigeria's Capital Territory, just adjacent the monumental Zuma Rock, in an envious stare of over two thousand audience, took the keys to a brand new Hyundai Elantra, for the Overall Best Winner, in the Category of the Best School Administrator in Nigeria, and brand new refrigerator, Gas Cooker and Generator for coming fourth in the same category.

The laurels, divided into three categories: Overall Best Teacher, Overall Best School Administrator and Overall Best School, come courtesy of the President 's Teachers' and Schools' Excellence Award, the highest school awards in Nigeria, and the honours were done by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Barrister Boss Gidahyelda Mustapha, who represented President Buhari at the event.

The Overall Best Winner of the School Administrator Category, Mrs. Ezenwa is from Awada IV Primary School, Obosi, Idemili South Council Area, while the fourth position, in the same category went to Doctor Uju Ifegwuani of Anglican Girls' Grammar School, Onitsha.

Never forget, perhaps hurriedly, that, on the same day, similar atmosphere, but just in 2017, Mr. Clement Okodo of Central School, Abagana, Njikoka Council Area, went home with a brand new Nissan car for as the Overall Best Teacher in Nigeria, and the honours were done by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Barrister BossMustapha, who was represented the President at the event.

Nothing is wrong with the thread yet. Detractors will always try to scuttle every progress. Perhaps they gave this thread no chance but see where the thread got to and how much intellect on display to silence their madness. They have tried twice to derail the thread with their madness but failed just like they failed again.
Cheer up. Syder will provide pictures to spice up our weekend today and we blaze on. Good day.

obi1kenobi claims he is son of the soil and I don't have a problem with that.

My problem is I haven't seen him defending Ndigbo on this forum but he criticize Ndigbo(especially anambra) at any given chance.

You are the kind of person that watches an outsider beat your own sister but instead of you to fight alongside your sister you criticise her and ask her why she went to look for trouble.

don't mind the so called "detribalized people" that if he is igbo. What they do best is to bad mouth. Oya provide solutions to the current predicament of the igbo nation.. They keep mute and hide inside their shells looking for who to critize with their senseless ramblings...

We should all be careful before labelling people Afonja here.

pazienza:

Going by your narrow, shallow and juvenile logic about Ndiigbo. You should also reflect on why every single patriotic Igbo person on NL believes you are an Afonja.
I mean, if every single one of us think you are an Afonja and link you to notorious Igbophobic Afonja monikers on NL , surely we can't all be wrong, right? This is me applying your logic about why all Nigerians resent Ndiigbo and why they must be right.
I'm not jobless, I just have a very sensitive radar that raise Red flags whenever an Igbo impostor or hater is around, no matter how subtle they want to be, and your posts raise all the alarms in my Igbophobia radar. You stick out like a sour thumb.

Interesting...you for at least quote me, nah....let me know someone was attacking me, rather than copy and pasting comments.
1) Not every Igbo on Nairaland believe what you claim. There are something like half a dozen of you that assert it all the time.
2) They do it because their ego is bruised from being told hard truths - and double-bruised when the hard truths come from a kinsman. Delegitimizing my origin soothes their ego better. Reminds me of an American website a few weeks ago where some black Americans claimed criticisms of Serena William's tirade at the umpire in a match was motivated by racism. When I pointed out that as a black person, I resent seeing racism trivialized and playing the race card to cover bad behavior from black people, these black Americans claimed I'm just a white troll impersonating a black person. People who embrace the hive mentality and group-think don't cope very well with criticism from one of their own. Jewish critics of Israel come in for pretty savage attacks from the hardline right of the pro-Israel lobby.

Anyone that reads my comments in a recent thread like this:
https://www.nairaland.com/4728283/brazil-adopts-yoruba-official-language/6#71192797
or my posting history and comes away thinking I'm some impersonating Yoruba posing as Igbo is beyond help. But whatever helps you feel better is okay.

No, you should face your group and leave Igbo criticism for Igbos, nobody invited you.
Crude exhibitionism is a deep Yoruba trait. That's why we hear things like " the most educated tribe", "the most sophisticated tribe ", "the builders of tallest building", "Osun IGR is bigger than those of all SE states combined", "endless Owambe parties to celebrate little wealth", the list are endless. Face your people and leave Ndiigbo alone.
I have never for once pushed that all groups are same, if o so I wouldn't be an advocate of independent Igbo nation, seeing as I believe in distinctiveness of Igbo nation from the rest of Nigeria.

Whether I'm Igbo or not, I criticize whoever the hell I want, whenever I want, however I want. I need no one's permission. Also, there is nowhere I ever said only Igbo people brag - so that's just a strawman distortion. I've been clear that this brash arrogance is disproportionately prevalent among Igbos. Igbos are Nigeria's biggest supremacists. We're well famed for it. It is among Igbos you hear nonsense about being "the most intelligent black race" (there's one snapshot like that meatheads like to post here asserting the rubbish). It's Igbos that love to insult Northerners as basically low IQ subhumans (the only people on Nairaland I've ever shut down for saying Northerners are low IQ people are all Igbos with no exception). It's Igbos that are obsessed with appropriating an alien culture as their own (claiming to be Jews) because they believe it to elevate them over other black ass niggas. Yes, I'd say Igbos do it more than other groups.

This is the Yoruba in you manifesting. You are yet to establish How Igbos chestbeat more than other groups, and you are already running to compare Ndiigbo to Fulani herdsmen who go about murdering people?
How do you sleep at night?
Fulani herdsmen killings can be established, we see evidence of ransacked villages, killed villagers and injured people they leave in their wake. What you tried to do with this comparison is to subtly present Ndiigbo as dangerous lot who are similar to murderous Fulani herdsmen, hence justifying the resentment from other Nigerians towards Ndiigbo. How much more mischievous can you get. You have even outdone your Yoruba self.

Demonstrate? No, I have conducted no scientific study "demonstrating" it and no one is interested in such a study. I have lived and interacted long enough with other Nigerians to state obvious group perceptions. I stated what every Nigeria group knows. If you conducted a poll among all Nigerian groups as to the most arrogant, insufferable group in Nigeria, Igbos would win in a landslide. I know this. You know this, despite the bravado. We all know this. But keep waiting for my Newtonian demonstration to establish the reality.

Of course, we had established why Nigerians hate Ndiigbo. Even Achebe you choose to quote out of context highlighted it thus:

the origin of “the national resentment of the Igbo” to its culture that “gave the Igbo man an unquestioned advantage over his compatriots in securing credentials for advancement in Nigerian colonial society.”

What culture was Achebe speaking of?
Achebe clarifies more :

He observed that the Igbo culture’s emphasis on change, individualism and competitiveness gave his ethnic group an edge over the Hausa/Fulani man who was hindered by a “wary religion” and the Yoruba man who was hampered by” traditional hierarchies.”

That's the culture of Igbo that draws resentment from Nigerians, not unsubstantiated arrogance you speak of, which other groups exhibit more than Ndiigbo.

Go all over Nigeria and see Ndiigbo doing menial jobs other Nigerians can never do,, out of pride. Dickson of Bayelsa was complaining of how his Ijaw people all sold the menial jobs he provided for them in Bayelsa to Igbos
Arrogant people don't do menial jobs. No group is more likely to pick up humble job to earn a living, more than the Igbo man.

Lol! Even now, your Afonja arrogance and empty boasts still stands. Here you are chest beating and telling how your Afonja people are the most accomplished Nigerians .
Why your people don't draw resentment from other Nigerians like Ndiigbo to?
It's multifactorial. Rudolph Okonkwo article which I posted earlier had done justice to that question.
This quote below is also relevant

Collective fear stimulates herd instinct, and tends to produce ferocity toward those who are not regarded as members of the herd".

Bertrand Russell

“ Neither a man nor a crowd nor a nation can be trusted to act humanely or to think sanely under the influence of a great fear".

Bertrand Russell

Ndiigbo culture which Achebe already buttressed makes us standout like sour thumb from other Nigerians wherever we are. We don't do herd mentality, we are too individualistic, too competitive. It draws fear from other Nigerians, which they express as Igbophobia.

Well, for such a "hampered" group, the Yorubas seem to have done pretty well for themselves home and abroad. And don't seem to aggravate other groups in Nigeria as much as Igbos while succeeding. That gives me pause. Another strawman you've created is looking to make out that I am blaming Igbos for all the resentment they attract. I have said that "there is plenty of blame to go around", but pointed out Igbo behavior that contributes to this. Yorubas for example aren't as widely distributed around Nigeria as Igbos which might contribute to why there isn't as much conflict between them and other groups as with Igbos and their host communities. All I sought to point out was how Igbos contribute to the perception about them rather than solely arrogating blame to them. Case in point was your nonsensical point about Aniomas yesterday making it out like many of them reject Igbo identity because they are somehow jealous of us and fearful of our competitive dominance (nevermind that Aniomas are one of Nigeria's most successful clans). Arrogance like that contributes to the perception of Igbos in Nigeria, and contributes to the identity crisis of Igboid groups.
It's interesting that you talk about "herd mentality" with no sense of irony, when you think any self-critical Igbo man is an impostor because you're intolerant of his views. You encapsulate everything about herd mentality.

Your non Igbo nature doesn't make me feel better or bad, it's just what it is, and nothing you say or do can change it. It's in you like peak milk. You know, that unbridled Yoruba arrogance that go around shouting about how they are the most sophisticated, educated, accomodative, bla bla bla. The innate Igbophobia that oozes out, no matter how hard you try to hide them.

Yea, Pazienza is a Yoruba man, a real Omoluabi, my Mother is from Arigidi town in Ondo, while my dad is from Aba Arokun in Ekiti state.
See, that's how ridiculous you sound with your Igbo origin claims.

I wasn't trying to change you, sunshine. I already asserted before that whatever you imagine me to be doesn't change a single hair on my head. A couple of Nairalanders (including one of the bigger mischief makers, Chino) know my real name - probably from my interactions on a job or NYSC thread years ago, or an email address I once posted. Calling me an "afonja" or aboki or whatever you choose is your prerogative on an anonymous internet forum. We have no restrictions to our foolishness here.

Election primary marred with violence are cancelled.

Y should APGA uphold a primary election marred with violence.

Y should three candidate come from Nnewi?

Y not just Bianca Ojukwu representing Nnewi?

APGA need to cancel that Senatorial primary and call another.

If Osun election, Ekiti can be canceal and rerun, the Senatorial primary for Anambra South should be canceled and rerun.

You always use derogatory words on Igbos to appear politically correct to other Nigerians. Talking about how Anambra did this and that, are you aware that a certain guy here uses more than 30 handles. On 1stOctober you were rolling in the mud with one of his handle by name bestview where he set a trap for you and you cheaply fell in. This is a faceless forum and your not new here, so why believe that all the handles that attack other Igbo States while claiming Anambra are truly Anambrarians? Your quick to appear on anti Igbo threads but always silent on pro Igbo ones.

What's the name of your village in Oraukwu?

Interesting.....so a thread in which I was defending Enugu from attacks from Anambra people is the "trap" I fell into? And he wasn't the only one rubbishing Enugu on the thread. There were like 2 other people on the Anambra thread that joined him. So, it was wrong for me to caution Igbo people tarnishing our image with silly interstate mud-slinging? And yes, the poster in question has multiple handles, but he's allowed to run amok on threads insulting every other Igbo state, and he either gets some support from fellow Anambrarians (not include his multiple accounts) or there is silence. Anytime you see any Igbos sowing division, it should be your duty to shut it down. And I've made a lot of positive contributions on the Anambra thread.
And I'm from Amaeze. I was one of the Excos of our Oraukwu Undergraduate Association in UNN and both Prof P.N. Okeke and F.N.Okeke (from Ibenabo in Oraukwu) were our chief patrons. So it's funny to me how some twats on an anonymous internet forum can sit behind their keyboards and somehow believe they own some self-ascribed right to pronounce who is Igbo and who isn't. But like I told them before, there are no rules against foolishness here.

Please I need answers from agricultural experts here ( or village palm wine tapers lol ).
1) Can I get palm wine from the same tree that produces palm kernels?
2) If no, which exact type of palm tree produces palm wine?
3) In the SE, which state do you guys think has the best soil for planting cocoa?
I have been thinking of planting palm wine and cocoa for reasons which include making Igbo land one of the recognized regions for getting cocoa and we all know that Cocoa is currently expensive per ton in the global market, I have also listed out the small scale machines I can get within Nigeria to produce Cocoa powder and cocoa butter for sale, I also want to start a palm wine bottling company ( also small scale ) which will contain only 1% alcohol. Apart from producing these products, I also plan to plant those crops along the borders between Igbo land and the north central to further assist in preventing desertification of our land because, the problem of desertification is swiftly coming down south from Jigawa to Kano to Kaduna, Abuja, Nassarawa, Benue. Planting trees of economic importance like palm trees, coconut trees, cocoa etc in large quantities at our borders with the northern state will save from desertification in the nearest future.
4) How much is a plot of land in Enugu and Ebonyi and is there any discount on the cost of land for farmers?

Apart from producing these products, I also plan to plant those crops along the borders between Igbo land and the north central to further assist in preventing desertification of our land because, the problem of desertification is swiftly coming down south from Jigawa to Kano to Kaduna, Abuja, Nassarawa, Benue. Planting trees of economic importance like palm trees, coconut trees, cocoa etc in large quantities at our borders with the northern state will save from desertification in the nearest future.
4) How much is a plot of land in Enugu and Ebonyi and is there any discount on the cost of land for farmers?

Y are u not considering Anambra bro?

U can see the type of adminiistration that Chino is under in Anambra and u are surprise that they come here to insult other Igbos.

They claim Bianca is not Anambra and several of them have gone as far as telling me that Bianca Ojukwu should go and contest in Enugu.

I dont know if u guys have been following the Anambra thread but my ears are full.

I will post some of their comment here.

After they will want to claim they have more sense than Yorubas.

Wen we know that they are Igbo retards.

It's not just a Anambra, Igbo or Nigerian thing....it's a black african thing!

If your opponent sees you have the upper hand, are brighter and stand a better chance of beating him at the polls, he'd resort to plan-B (which is the default setting of most black africans): whip up primordial sentiments of race, religion, gender and state of origin....as we're presently seeing with Anambra!

Quite sad really!

Imagine going to Yoruba land to carry an Igbo anambra woman married there, to come with her yoruba husband and yoruba children and become onye- anambra.

Wen will Igbo people get sense?

Bianca is more onye anambra than even Stella Oduah.

Let me ask you people here, are any of Stella Oduah children igbos.

Must i explain common sense to my fellow Igbos all the time?
