Oremi22 you are right there are many empty lands in the village that doesn't do well in cassava and maize but instead of our people to plant cocoa or cashew on them they will left it to waste away, I don't know if it's because of the seed (because to find a very good agric seed is sometimes difficult and that is why I said that the Govt should step in and educate the masses and also provide good agric seeds for them but unfortunately we have visionless leaders piloting our ship). 1 Like |

GuyWise: One Igbo lady was trying to defend us because she married from Ikwerre. They lambasted her there to the extent that they insulted the husband of the lady. They said the man lacks quality to have married an isoma like her. I got annoyed and left the group. I only joined the group because I was trying get some info about their toward alaigbo. Those guys really have strong allegiance to the Bini kingdom and it's history. To me, Ikwerre will be difficult to bring back and we should dust our sleeves and move on. 3 Likes |

U get people claiming Benin solely becos of the Benin culture and throne. We have Obi of Onitsha and this particular Obi Nnaemeka has done really well in terms of celebrating Igbo culture. The truth is, he cannot do it alone. We also have the Eze Eri, who is actively projecting the Igbo culture beyond our shores and across the transatlantic world. He cannot do it alone. We have Flavour and Phyno, who have used their music to reach a wide range of Igbo youth outside the southeast and southsouth zone. They cannot do it alone. We have Nollywood. Yet, we need cultural representation in the political sphere. This was y people voted APGA and bought into their famous slogan nkea bu nke anyi. We want to see active igboist actively representing us on national and state level. 2 Likes |

hammer6F: If you really want to sleep well at night, just forget about Ikwerre. Some of them who are IPOB members were preaching about unity with us but they weren't having it. They hauled insults on them and were advising the admin to remove them. These were adults in their 30's and 40's. A woman said if her daughter brings an isoma to the house, she's going to disown her. I was very surprised at the level of hatred shown by them. Just forget about those people, we can do better with better alliances than those guys. They even believe they are better because of the prince story they added to their history. They were really hilarious most times though. 2 Likes |

vanbonattel: I didn't runaway. In fact I had to educate them on the issue and how funny their stories sounded. What you have to understand is that these guys have been programmed to hate us. The ones who don't hate us are like programmes that are unsuccessful. For you to rewrite their history and all of them accepting it will be extremely difficult. |

hammer6F: Nwanne,, I understand. Bianca lost, I wanted her to win. But it's not the end of the world. Remember that Ojukwu lost election in old Anambra as well. So don't let Mischievous impostors who are trying to bring the Enugu-Anambra issue into it, in vain attempt to divide Ndiigbo. We know better. When Ojukwu son told Bianca to return to Enugu, the topic was brought in Ndi Anambra forum on facebook , where real Anambra people with real face, all in majority condemned Ojukwu son, and reaffirmed that in Igbo tradition, a woman automatically becomes an indigene of her husband place. Okonjo Iweala took Abia slot as a minister of finance, and not Delta. Bianca losing a primary election is not the end of the world. Her husband Ojukwu did, and it never took away the way Ndiigbo regarded him. Bianca can still serve Ndiigbo in many other capacities. Let it go. Stop feeding the trolls. 6 Likes 1 Share |

hammer6F: We igbos are only industrious when we chase money. We do not care about anything else if doesn't bring money. The kind of infrastructure that we get doesn't concern us. We only come online to pay lipservice and speak big big grammar. If we really want to change things happening in the east, we can start the process. But we are too concerned about other things so we do nothing. Most of us here use this thread as a pass time not as a rallying point for a new Igbo nation. To answer your question; we are not weak but we love to be stupid. |

vanbonattel: At this stage of my very existence, I have learnt to know what I can fight for and what I can just overlook. I was once a hardcore pro-nigeria before I graduated to pro-southern Nigeria. I also graduated from southern Nigeria to the SS/SE before I learnt the hard way and returned back to my village in Anambra to be team alaigbo now. I have had better arguments and like every positive minded person, I thought everyone was like me until I found out that the direction which some of these neighbours want to ply isn't in consonance with what we want in alaigbo. So, it was better to stretch the hand of friendship from afar and stick to my hamlet. If Ikwerre wants to join the rest of us, no one will stop them but if they are in denial, I think they will be better of in the arms of the ones. 2 Likes 1 Share |

vanbonattel: Why should I kill myself with a person who doesn't love me. I didn't birth anyone of them and I can't change their preference without looking like a beggar. I will really leave you to think of the possibility of bringing them into the fold rather than arguing with me why I didn't fight an army Ikwerre who were not interested in reading a single letter from my long manuscript. 2 Likes |
