On expectations, that I can understand and relate to. The journey of these lads continue. Several have gone into oblivion already.

It is well Dad. wink

Well I do more of lowering my expectations than being pessimistic.

I like seeing U17 players progress through the ranks from the academies to professional football and assess them at the U20 & or U23 before sticking my neck out.

Oga Chriskels... I saw a comment where you said Sheyi Ojo started for Reims this weekend, well he didn't start. He came in as a substitute. Please take note.

Meanwhile, just for emphasized observation sake, it's nice to see the continued rise of Samuel Chukwueze at Villarreal CF. Great to see Osimhen scoring again also.

From the class of Nigeria U-17 2015, Samuel Chukwueze looks like the lad leading the way right now and things can only get better judging by the way the Coach keeps bringing him into the first team.

My current ratings of career progress from the class of 2015... So far:

1st - Samuel Chukwueze (despite starting a year behind K.Nwakali and Osimhen).

2nd - Okonkwo Orji

3rd - Victor Osimhen

4th - Kingsley Michael

5th - Kelechi Nwakali

6th - Others like Funsho Bamgboye at Haladas, David Enogela at Olimpik Donetsk, Gavi Thompson at Stumbras, etc....

Some are not on the football radar anymore.

Time is still on for these lads. Time will tell it all... Let the journey continue.

Focus now shifted to The Super Eagles game vs Libya. I hear/read Isaac "The Beast" Success is already in Nigeria.

Pls tell them cos I remember Victor Igbinoba of Kodak 85 fame who fizzled out,Kayode Keshinro,Jide Oguntuase,Bella Momoh,Peter Anosike,Festus Odini.Blessing Anyanwu,Charles Okonedo good U 17 players we thought are going places but funny enough a lot of them failed to impress at U20 not to talk of SE

Ow Egbon, the list is so long: Dimeji Lawal, Peter Ogaba, Bawa Abdulahi, Christopher Ohenhen, Philip Osondu, Mohammad Manga, Someone like Fatai Atere played U17 twice but still could not make the U20 team. Who could have believed that deadly goal poachers like Victor Igbinoba and Peter Ikechukwu Anosike would fizzle out so early. Igbinoba was at Chile 87 but not as a regular while Anosike could not measure up at all for the U20.

I admire some of these recent U17 players but sorry I have long learnt to lower my expectations. Let me see them do it as professional players first before sticking out my neck.

Why then is there a obvious preference for U17 youth players even when they done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the professional game based on past youthful glories. Given almost unquestionable call up to the SE.

That's not progression.

who are the wingbacks then?

You are playing a 3-3-1-3? Or a 3-4-3? You have the wrong personnel

You cannot have Ekong-Balogun-Idowu.... Ndidi-Etebo-Onazi-Iwobi on the pitch at the same time. Idowu is the only full back in that formation. You have two center backs and no wing backs (except you want to play Idowu in LW, so who plays RW?)

brikianr question

Lesser parties are busy sleeping on Twitter and Facebook as if that is where they will be seen. Once election is over, all of them will go and sleep until another four years, when it is time to collect money from INEC again. I hear they are paying #200 million to parties for participation in the 2019 elections. That is probably why we have 91 political parties

What you call structure is sometimes an elaborate concerted intended Corruption Apparatus. That apparatus ensures people are paid off " Stomach Infrastructure " to ensure irrational loyalty to the individual not necessarily the party, from ward level upwards even to national level.

That in depth structure of loyalty by financial appeasement and sometimes with satanic oaths I mean " Juju" . Will see one individual holding a whole state to ransom and deciding who comes in for office and who goes out.

Selection is therefore by loyalty to the kingmaker not to any party "political ideology" in this our essentially two party state does any party have one ❓ I think it's now apparently clear to all that the war on corruption is a complete and utter FARCE.

Uduaghan has just joined APC and won a senatorial seat candidacy. That and many other events make things quite clear. To me APC = PDP

School him jare, school him nwanne.

Safari why don't you pick up a coaching certificate form from any football academy near you, just for the leisure of it.You stand to learn a lot more about coaching and tactics. You know that waiting period between graduation and Law School or between Law school and NYSC. Just a BCC (Basic Coaching Certificate) would be OK for now. It is just 3months. There are also CAF organized coaching courses which are like 2 weeks duration. You may need to contact the NFF for inquiries on that.

Besides, no knowledge or certificate is lost, who knows u might need it one day.

In my entire life I have never come across a lady this knowledgeable about football. You even know better than Baron that used to present sports on Channels TV some time back.

Do you know what full backs are?
3 and 4
In that your formation you need 3 centre backs and 2 wing backs, 1 stand by DM, 2 central midfielders, a supporting striker/AM and a lethal striker.
3-5-1-1

Going with Rohr he'd rather settle for a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 diamond formation against these Libyans

I think he still lacks in confidence when it comes to attacking the net. This perhaps why he has reduced himself to a playmaking role. At least he has vastly improved his influence on the field.

Can you imagine what a human being that calls himself a football fan just wrote. What is the name of this formation abeg?. Wallahi even my grandma in the village will do better than this.

Honestly speaking this guy has no business with football. And for im mind he thinks he is one tactical genius.

Ahmed Musa has played back his way into relevance in this team. He has become a starter. He also proved that against Seychelles with the cracker of a goal and MOTM performance. He is currently in his high gear and we must optimize it.

He starts ahead of Simon for me.

OK good.

Plus I have this believe that Rohr is more likely to start Shehu ahead of Aina at RB.

Knowing how crucial that game is, Aina has not played RB in any game under Rohr and knowing Rohr to be very conservative, Shehu looks more likely to start at RB.

My dream line up

Gk - Uzoho (no competition)

CD- Balogun

CD- Ajayi (Been posting superb displays lately. And his height can be needful in defending set-pieces in which we are deficient)

RB- Aina ( Better than Shehu )

LB- Collins ( natural left footer, decent dribbling ability. Idowu has neither).

DM- Ndidi

CM- Etebo

AM- Iwobi

RM- S.Kalu

LM- Musa (can be our major attacking outlet)

CF- Ighalo ( In good scoring form. good physicality and dribbling. Iheanacho has a horrible first touch, zero pace and can't dribble a defender to save his life, I'd play Success ahead of him).

How in God's name will u start an Ajayi who is a championship player ahead of Ekong who is a starter in the serieA and a long term member of the SE ..Being tall isn't a feature of a world class defender oo..And again, have u study the Libya team well enough to know that they will pose a threat via set pieces??
If Ajayi should start at CB,replace Balogun with him.. Balogun hasn't played much for Brighton this season...
