You're welcome. Just make sure you work on your SOP very well because that will be your saving grace. You can contact the gurus in the house to help you vet it once you're done writing it. Good luck in your application.

Tuition paid makes a lot of sense. That's very good. I think it will be better if you use your co-sponsor from an in-law perspective rather than boss. But is it that he will be the only one handling your living expenses? If he is the only one then I won't advise that idea of "He will be sending 1000 CAD every month" because CIC prefers money on ground and not future speculations.

thank you very much.
He will be handling my living expenses while my brother pays my tuition. I have been refused visa before based on my financial status and asset that's why I came up with him making an agreement of returning to work for him after my studies.

I studied biochemistry graduated with 2.1, I want to go for pharmacy but my courses didn't meet all the required courses so I was admitted in Art and Science to complete the Pre-pharmacy courses before applying for the pharmacy.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by canadabyfire: 9:01pm On Oct 08, 2018
The idea of sending multiple mails and CSE to CIC makes little or no difference all u get is a generic response.........

Your goal is to get ur application approved.......it is better for d application to stay long and eventually approved....than series of disturbances to get a forceful refusal....

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 9:20pm On Oct 08, 2018
Since he will be handling your living expenses then it's advisable that he should transfer your one year living expenses to your personal account. It's better that way. He will just write it in his sponsorship letter that he has transferred that to show commitment. Then no need of writing about the whole 1000 CAD per month (Its not advisable). If you do all these and show Proof of relationship then I'm sure you won't be having issues with Financials.

For assets, I will advise you to go through this link https://www.nairaland.com/2557850/travelling-canada-part-9/198#41016878 Read it very well and digest it. And it will be good if you follow the advise. Check for number 3. It will help tackle Personal assets issues.

Regarding completing pre-pharmacy courses, please try as much as possible to stress on it in your SOP. In short, work on your SOP very well. Why are you going for pharmacy since you studied Biochemistry in your First degree? Do you have a good number of working experience in that field? I will advise you should also add Letter of Explanation (Explaining how you've solved your last denial reasons).

I hope I've tried. You're welcome.

Well, go to page 1 of this same thread and check for the part that says "CLICK HERE TO FIND A SOP SAMPLE FOR THE VISA OFFICER". You can use that as a guide. Also, endeavour to use Google as there is no one way to writing SOP. Just make sure you tackle questions like:

Who are You? (A brief introduction of you)
Why did you choose that particular course?
How is the particular course relating to your past experience or educational background?
Why did you choose that University/ College?
Why Canada?
Why go through the stress to study that course in Canada alongside the heavy financial cost and not your home country?
Employment prospects when you're done with the course of study that can compel you to come back to your home country?
Your socio-economic ties?
Who is your sponsor?/How did you get the sponsorship in case it's an external type?
Your overall educational goals?
Your future goals?
Show evidence of how your declared employment (if working) constitute a significant tie to your home country

You can write a maximum of 1-3pages as too much stories might end up boring to the VO. Although depending on your case, some people might have to write more. Make sure it's well paragraphed and every paragraph has it own purpose/duty.
Avoid unnecessary detials. No grammatical errors. Statement of Purpose (SOP) can be informal I.e not addressed to anybody but A letter of Explanation (LOE) must be addressed to:

The Visa officer,

Deputy High Commission of Canada,

4 Anifowoshe Street,

Victoria Island,

Lagos, Nigeria.

Dear Sir/Madam,

USE GOOGLE TO CHECK FOR FORMATS AND SAMPLES. THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM.

If your Aunt from Mother side is very okay financially then she can be your only sponsor. Just make sure that you show Proof of relationship (Your mother's birth certificate and her marriage certificate, Your aunt's brith certificate and her marriage certificate (If married)) or proof of past financial transactions/School Receipts showing that she had sponsored your education prior to this time.

As regarding funds that will be required - Your one year tuition fees + Living expenses (10,000 or 11,000 (Quebec) CAD) + Others (2000 - 5000 CAD). That's your funds required. But remember that your aunt cannot give you everything in her account. So this means that if you remove your required funds from her present cash then it should remain a compelling amount that can sustain her and her dependents preferably for the next one year.

If you're going to be staying in her house over there then she should state it in her Letter of Sponsorship alongside the address of the said house. Also, state It in your SOP. It will help reduce the amount required to be shown as proof of funds.

Instead of your parents selling their properties, I will advise it be used as a social ties for you. Meaning that can serve as a compelling reason for you to come back home. Maybe it can be willed to you or A letter of Devolvement after their demise can be issued with a lawyer's stamp.

I think you're close to the successful application line and you will cross it by the grace of God. Since they have acknowledged your new Letter of acceptance and medicals marked as satisfactory then no need of sending a mail again as you will most likely get the same reply if not a more generic one. Just stay hopeful that you will get a final decision from them in the coming hours or days. I'm sure you're going for Winter which is still January. So just sit back and stay positive. That's just my advise.

Hi house,
A quick one,I sent a CSE to Lagos visa office on the 30th of September updating my new letter of acceptance and making Enquiry about my application. I got the usual application is under active review. After noticing people getting replies of mails of new letter of acceptance being updated I thought of sending a mail to the London office despite the fact that my application is still on background check. Unfortunately I got a reply back from Lagos visa office referencing the mail I sent to London but this time the mail is more detailed saying my letter of acceptance has been updated and my application is in active processing not active review. Does this mean my application will just be worked on and is the application handled by Lagos visa office not London office. Decided to share this with the house to hear the opinion of the gurus and see if this would shed more light to other applications. July 23rd Online Application.

Please let me clear one thing here, in as much as I agree with some points from @kriff I think we shouldn't be making this Canada visa look complicated to Nigerians.
Firstly, you don't need to show financial evidence of any sort in form receipt or transaction whatever of previous assistant your aunt has given towards your education, and for heaven sake let stop introducing things that are not required of us in the name of trying to show sainthood, which will at last backfire and lead to rejection.

The Visa officer knows that its a practice all over the world that no individual has access to another persons account information like SOA etc without the account holder willingness to give it to you for a purpose, and in the case of student for sponsor purpose. So all you need to do is to ask your aunt to state it the letter of sponsorship that she has been the person taking care of education and that's all.

I will advice you please do not allow your parents to sell off their property for this curse, rather they can borrow money with it and keep the property as a collateral. Yes you can use the collateral property as home tie because the property is still yours.

Mr man please do not panic! $11,000 is not a big deal you will surely cross the bridge and pay your fee when the time comes.

If your aunt has enough in her account to show do not worry about your parents SOA, your aunt SOA will be OK and that will not affect you any form.

Don't sell properties for this please, remember that every Nigerian has A CAN DO SPIRIT IN HIM OR HER. So relax, don't sell them because you can make it a success without selling property
