Hello Kriff, For someone that is looking at resuming in January which route would you advise. Online or Paper route?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by hotcakept2: 1:06pm On Oct 09, 2018

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by makano: 1:12pm On Oct 09, 2018
If you have been reading up this thread from the previous part, you would answer this question urself. Cos of recent on this part, someone just said he/she had applied since May (Online) and havnt gotten a response, while someone who applied August (Paper) had gotten a response(Refusal). So I am sure u knw the route to take, the choice is urs. Peace.

Mr Man, no one is forcing anybody to use online route. Online route takes longer (3-5 Months) to get response but 60% of the response are positive, while that of paper route gets response within 2 months and 60% of the responses are refusals My personal Observation on previous thread. Most people go through Online cos they wanna avoid the NAIROBY GUYS, trust me,you dont want ur application to get to them. So the choice is urs. Peace

In recent times, we have seen paper applications lasting up to 18weeks or more before a decision is made. we have also seen online applications lasting within the processing times and some others falling outside the processing time.

CIC are good psychologist and philosophers;they have decided to make it impossible for us to fully decipher their format.

In any case, your circumstance will determine which route to take; an ardent traveller who may require his international passport for frequent trips will opt for online route; but where there is no need for the passport, paper route can be recommended.

In all package a good application and baptise it with prayers of favor; whether paper or online the goal is get an approval.

It tire me o. If a Nigerian graduate can't draw a conclusion from what have been posted on Paper and online especially on Nairobi VOs, I wonder what the person is going to do Canada with a very rigorous academic fireworks

If his/her application is direct without any story to tell through the SOP, paper route is recommended but if you need certain things to explain through your SOP, my friend, don't try those Nairobi guys o because they won't read it and they are quick in refusing application with a slightest unclear area of an application. But if you don't mind the longer waiting times, go for online because the London VOs will take time to read your story and analyse your documents thoroughly. This also account for their perceived slow processing technique

For those of you that have been asking who the Nairobi guys are? As the originator of the Term NAIROBI GUYS, let me quickly summarise who they are, these are the VOs in the Canadian Embassy in Kenya that attend to paper applications (I pray they do not move them to start attending to Online tho) and 90% of their decisions on Nigerian Applicants are always refusals. If you apply through paper route, be rest assured that ur application is going to visit them, except ur prayers re-direct ur application to ACCRA Embassy. (KENYA and ACCRA Attends to Paper application). I have taken the pain to explain who NAIROBY GUYS ARE, if anybody come here to ask who these people are again, ur flogging will be out of this world. Peace

Guy, dont you think you venting too much..............there are all calibres of persons on this thread.........the young fresh leavers of high school, fresh graduates with no experience, and the advanced category.

Whist some questions are typically lame and unnecessary, silence will be the best answer. Some people are truly naive; while others are really ignorant and lazy.

However, hostile remarks seems like transferring aggression of delayed approval to both the naive, the ignorant and the lazy ones.

No need taking things personal with someone's question here...to the extent of wondering wat he/she will do wen they get to canada, that's absurd!...people are different, some assimilated faster dan others, some always want direct confirmation, we understand and see things differently. "its better to ask a foolish question to know a thing than to be silent and fail "..because you have more knowledge abt something dnt give u the right to criticize a novice questions. ignore if you dnt want to answer since the question is beyound you! Mr Canadabyfire, no be fight oo. If everybody on this thread is lazy and ignorant, nobody will be here answering questions. We all got this knowledge we use in answering questions becasue we took the pain to do our research from reading up from previous thread, making google our good friend and some of us even go to the extent of following CIC on their social media just to get updates from them anywhere, and someone will just wake up one morning and jump here and ask lame questions. people should learn to do their own personal research and if they are not clear on somethings, thats when they can come here to ask questions. That is why Justwise always put links on the first page of every Part of this thread, so people can follow those links and work on their applications, but the lazy ones wont bother. Lets not encourage this habit, newbies should read up from previous parts of this thread. Peace

House pls can I use my personal registrar cac certificate of 3 month old company as home tie
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 2:46pm On Oct 09, 2018
It's not problem if you can't get a proof of past assistance. If you can notice that I said "or" not "and". Meaning its not compulsory. If it's possible, get it if not don't worry. Just provide proof of relationship. Since your aunt's account is good enough, there is no point in your parents using their property to get money. Because you won't be needing their Statement of Account (SOA). So don't worry yourself with your parent's SOA or cash at hand. Just use the property as Home ties. Goodluck mate.

Riseandshine:
thanks so much kriff I really appreciate you so much ... when ever she send money to me is always through her sister account in Nigeria so I don't really know how I will prove that....is it possible we use the property to lend money and still consider it as home tie?... thanks so much for your time!

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 2:53pm On Oct 09, 2018
Nobody is trying to make Canadian Visa look complicated. In my write up, I said "or" not "And". Meaning it's not compulsory. We are all just trying to provide a tight application. No loop holes. And for the record, if you had done your research very well then you will know that this is not a new idea. So there is nothing like it will backfire. And it's not to show that he didn't steal the Aunt's SOA, it's just to show that the aunt didn't just wake up now to sponsor him. Meaning she has done that in the past. So it has nothing to do with him trying to proof the authenticity of her SOA.
Linzo:

Please let me clear one thing here, in as much as I agree with some points from @kriff I think we shouldn't be making this Canada visa look complicated to Nigerians.
Firstly, you don't need to show financial evidence of any sort in form receipt or transaction whatever of previous assistant your aunt has given towards your education, and for heaven sake let stop introducing things that are not required of us in the name of trying to show sainthood, which will at last backfire and lead to rejection.

The Visa officer knows that its a practice all over the world that no individual has access to another persons account information like SOA etc without the account holder willingness to give it to you for a purpose, and in the case of student for sponsor purpose. So all you need to do is to ask your aunt to state it the letter of sponsorship that she has been the person taking care of education and that's all.

I will advice you please do not allow your parents to sell off their property for this curse, rather they can borrow money with it and keep the property as a collateral. Yes you can use the collateral property as home tie because the property is still yours.

Paper route will be the best as record shows it that it's quite faster than Online route for now. But which ever route you eventually use, just hope for the best. Make sure there are no loop holes. Goodluck.

Thanks for your comment but it annoys me when a question has been answered and another person is asking the same thing.
I directed a brother to this forum and after reading some threads, he himself is now now solving problems for people as far as Canadian visa is concerned.
My brother, Canadian education is not a child's play at all. It involves a lot of personal and group research work. Browsing nairaland thread has nothing to do with your assimilation assimilation, is all about taking your time to go through previous posts and comments.
BROS, THE TRUTH IS THAT SOME OF US ARE VERY LAZY. AND CANADIAN EDUCATION IS NOT FOR LAZY STUDENTS LIKE US.
