Pick Peter Obi and loose South West. Pick a Vice from Southwest and split that region. Renegotiate with South East and promise them Senate President or Secretary to government of the federation and some Juicy Positions. Then when you come back for your second term [That's if at all he wins this time] get an igbo person as Vice. With that, you have split South west and gotten hold of south East and a good fraction of North East, North Central and a good number of votes from South south. But without that, Buhari gets Southwest 100% back because Yorubas CAN'T vote out their son Osinbajo. Yorubas are not stupid. They won't join themselves to something that won't favour them. Remember the Jonathan treatment? You can't play the Yorubas. Their interest first. And you can't tell me Non-indigenes are higher than indigenes. So, Buhari captures Northwest 100%, captures Northeast 70% NorthCentral 50%. South south 40% (Edo will bring block vote, split will come from Akwa Ibom, Delta and Rivers) and South East 5%. Remember, Southwest and Northwest brings in the highest votes. Lagos, Ogun/Ibadan, Kano, Kaduna, Sokoto. In Nigerian National politics, to win, get block votes from 2 regions, 50%-70% from another and then the little from split. So i see Buhari still wins.

NOTE: it's only my analysis and Opinion. if you quote me to insult, your candidate loses.

Teach them politics,my people keep playing politics with sentiment, how do atiku plan to get vote from southwest? Pmb has automatically won the election, it's quite unfortunate.

Your statements reeks of inconsistency. In one line you called PDP an evil party and the other they are better than APC. Wow!!

You have shown your foolishness. APC and PDP are evil. That statement i made there simply means that the pdp you call evil is better than the apc you call angels. Both of them are evill as far as i am cconcerned.

I supported Buhari in 2015 before and he failed woefully. I will vote for Atiku who is a business man. He is better than Buhari who is a herdsman.

Bros, your party has no single candidate in Zamfara, dual governorship nominees in both Rivers and Imo and countless other divisions nationwide.

So stop taking panadol for another man's headache while HIV is ravaging your body.

Neither the party leadership nor PDP the governors or National Assembly caucus were consulted before Atiku made the choice of Obi. It came to many party chieftains as a great surprise. That was why many of them were absent at Atiku’s house when the choice was made.

In other words APC has done worst thing within 3 years than 16 years of PDP. You guys simply deserve the leaders you have. You are the worst set of slaves to have ever existed and will ever exist. Enjoy your chains and shackles.

Which SW candidate will Atiku choose as VP that will make the SW vote PDP? But wait first, let’s be clear here; which SouthWest are you talking about: is it the Southwest in igbo land or the Yoruba Southwest? Because if you mean the Yoruba Southwest, which is 100% APC, then you should know Atiku’s selection of a Yoruba VP is simply a DOA move. FYI, this is the same Southwest that was albeit virtually a PDP region since the OBJ presidency era began, except for just Lagos. From that just one Lagos State, ACN trounced PDP black and blue to take major control of the Southwest, then post ACN era, APC has 100% takeover an LOCKDOWN of the Southwest. For one reason only, Yorubas have accessed PDP and concluded it is a useless party with nothing to offer for the development of Yoruba Land; all they have to offer is wanton looting and infrastructural decay and regional destruction. We don’t want that, hence Yorubas soundly rejected PDP forever! So even with a Yoruba VP, Atiku will still lose. Pick a igbo VP, he will still lose. Whatever political permutations are considered, the result is the same for PDP and Atiku - LOSS!

To the Nairaland Athiefkulate fan club, are you still selling membership forms? I want to recruit Nlamdi Cownu for you grin

Atiku is starting his campaign in a wrong way. Let him because of his money and that he has enough to run his campaign not do it alone. He should learn to carry everybody along establish those that refused to leave Pdp when he decamped to APC.
Kayode and Fayose have been unusual quiet since yesterday .

There must always be enemies of progress. Peter Obi is a perfect match with Atiku Abubakar to turn things around in Nigeria. Just the news of his nomination yesterday had brought relief, laughter and hope to many that wish for a better Nigeria. Going back could be detrimental as cold feet and rancour will set in. Obi is qualified in all ramifications so let's get the party started.
Saying you were not contacted or informed before picking him shows pride and selfishness, just give in to what is good.
In conclusion, we the ATIKULATED FELLOWS of Nigeria are solidly behind the nomination of PETER OBI. Case closed.

Ur analysis is baseless, Buhari will never get 100% of SW votes. SW will always break even.

Yorubas can't eat their cake n have it back, U can't have 6 states all APC with VP n also PDP will also give u VP where u have zero stake in the party.

Nobody needs SW votes in 2019, The deciding region for the next election is SS n most importantly SE.

The VP position for IGBOS is non-negotiable.

Buhari can NEVER get 100% in NW n 70% in NE, Buhari will lose the NE dis time. U people are still making a huge mistake, Buharis opponent isn't an Ijaw man so stop running assumptions that Buhari will win all the votes in the north. It pains me too that this is happening. For me it is Kingsley Moghalu. But I must admit that he and others don't have the reach to unseat Buhari except Atiku. Politics needs money for campaign travelling etc and so in advanced countries people donate money to support their candidate. But in Nigeria people expect to be given money during elections. So unless this mindset is changed it will be difficult to have the right people win elections because they don't have sufficient funds to campaign with to get people to know them.

Three ingredients:

Anxiety plus desperation coming to play, Atiku"s way.
Iv once mentioned that, SE shouldn't be desperate on having a VP candidate rather further focus on a Single Credible Presidential candidate come 2023 because its their turn but rather, they have started reflecting their way again. C'mon, its too early. Some are saying they did not consult them while some are saying its a compensation for one political (god)father which we are striving hard to eliminate in Nigerian system (godfatherism).
A typical Yoruba man will never mention that 'its an ekiti, osun, ogun, oyo, ondo or Lagos slot, rather; he is our son, let us support him.
Likewise, our brothers in the north, they will rather say he is from our zone instead of saying its a compensation for tafawa balewa or kano slot just like somebody mentioned that 'they appreciate the fact that its an Anambra slot'.
I'm not here to tribalise issue with any fvcking bagger but rather radiating light on the grey areas our brothers might be getting wrong when its their turn. Unity is a Word!

Life is all about give and take but when the other person wants to have it all, peace will be the last thing to seek for .
Well said. No body wants Atiku to fail. And nobody feels SE can't produce a VP. i looked at various indices before i drew my conclusion. There's no how Atiku can penetrate SW without first having SW person very close to him. A typical yoruba man considers what favours him first. Let's be realistic to ourselves. How many Yorubas will truly vote for PDP? remember during Jonathan's regime the complained of marginalisation from Jonathan's government, which was one of the unspoken campaign strategy they used against him. Why didn't look for a way to break into the Southwest, his picking Peter Obi may remind the yorubas of the Jonathan's treatment. Definitely, if Atiku wins, he would want to come back for a second term, during the second term give the Southeast guys the VP and a promise to handover presidency to them, but for now they should take Senate presidency or secretary to government of the federation and other juicy positions. As it stands today, the whole of Southeast is for PDP, the whole of Southwest is APC, how will he break into Southwest? A normal SW person will say, nothing for them in PDP. What position would they have in his government? Even if Osinbajo has done nothing for them, they will still want him there. And permit me to say, it's only you who think Osinbajo has done nothing. So how exactly does that excite the East given the scale of our contribution?
Don't forget that we voted for atiku in the primaries , while the yorubas voted for tambuwal.

SW isn't a homogenous vote so they can't give 43% of their votes to GEJ or any other person at that. Igbos in the SW alone number in millions and will always bring in a huge number of votes for PDP.
