Good day house,

This thread is very interesting, enlighten and very long.
I started from part 9 and I have gain some information. Please
I want answer to the following questions .

1) can someone who is almost 39years apply for master in canada and get admission ?

2) will the age affect the visa application?

3) with 2.2 (3.01 GPA) can it get one admission for master in canada?
If it does what schools can one easily get admission?
If it does not can one apply for PGD or to colleges?
If one get admission through college or PGD can one get student visa too to go study?

4) What province or schools are cheapest in canada ?
Thanks

My Ogas in the house, I am about to apply online for my Visa but my sponsor printed his statement of account like a week ago, I hope I can still use it? Am going to post my profile very soon for the gurus in the house to tell me what to still add or remove.

Wanted to apply through paper route before but when I realized those Kenyans VOs are not smiling, had to change my mind.

Happy Sunday family.

It is well bro. You will definitely get your Uk visa cos the process is straight forward. Downside is there is no automatic staying back like you have in Canada except God gives you a job and the company decides to sponsor you.

But please let me appeal to you to reapply one more time for Canada. The same SOA you will use for Uk is the same account you will use for Canada. Most masters in Uk schools go for at least £9000 and maintenance funds of at least £ £9,125 (almost same amount you will use for Canada). I suggest you Defer your Canada Admision and also apply for Uk MSc (it is free). I did same thing.

All you will need do this time is do online for Canada so that your passport is still with you to enable you apply for Uk. You can apply for Uk about 3 weeks before resumption (you will do priority application). Even after paying your deposit fees to any Uk school you can collect your money back when your Canada visa is out.

Trust me, even though Canada visa process is tiring, I kid you not bro, The peace of mind you have knowing you can stay back to work is everything. Imagine staying in UK for 4 years and I still could not stay back? If I had done my BA in Canada, I am so sure I would have nearly gotten my PR by now.

My opinion is there is no point spending about 4m and above in any foreign country for studies and not stay back to get that foreign work experience.

Long story short, you can kill 2 birds with one stone. Think about it.

Insightful!

Congrats.

APPROVAL ALERT!
Application Submitted: August 24, Paper Route
Program: PhD, McGill
Medical Request: September 28
Medical Done: October 2
Medical Passed: October 9
Approval: October 17

I submitted LOE to explain why I chose the program and Canada, the source of funding, family ties, and my willingness to come back to Nigeria.

N.B: (1) I intentionally did not submit police report since I have read of approvals without it, and I believe CIC will request for it if they need it
(2) I only submitted the funding letter from my supervisor which covers tuition and living expense. I did not submit any personal account details[/quote]

NBCC is cheap but there pgd is 1yr but you can try centennial college
jinyeid:
Hi all, I kinda have a different question here;

I have a TRV already (had my baby there wink ) and went twice to Canada in the last 2 years.

Now I want to get a study permit and start a 2 years PGD in Ontario, but I can't find something that fit my case on the CIC website as it only deals with new applicants for TRV or SV!

Any idea what should I do?

Also, where can I find the cheapest, yet recognized colleges to get my PGD? And if anyone knows what can I do with my 2 years old Canadian son while studying? Nurseries/Day Care are free for Canadians? If not, any idea about prices?

Sorry for too many questions and thanks in advance cheesy

Good evening house, please someone should show mercy to my post. I have this friend of mine, he has a first degree in political science with a second class, graduated 2014, he decided to go for another degree in the same discipline and came out with a first class, he is 35 and graduated 2018, he wants to go for a masters in canada.
NB he applied for a study permit in 2015 with his first degree for a second degree since he had low grades and could not go for a masters and was refused, he decided now to complete another degree here and now want to go for a masters.
- As regards to funding, is it posible to apply have fundin at 35?
-When applying will he need to apply with both degrees to both cic and school?
-is there any problem to apply for visa at this age especially as a fresh graduate who is not working but has cash in his bank account as he has been involve in business while in school?
-When applying will it be neccessary to use his bank statement eventhough a fresh graduate?

Please i will appretiate all gurus to give me their points of view, especially @Austinpee, Frank, Jeremy
Regards

Just to remind all TRV hopefuls on here, a particular moniker called wheyme applied for student visa and got delayed at first.

He reapplied almost immediately and got his passport request within 4 days (he submitted 13th August and got passport request on 17th August). That is the fastest approval on here I have ever seen. You can check part 14, page 392 to look up his story.

Just Incase you are down or scared, remember everyone’s story is unique. Keep on trusting God and believing. He will see everyone of you through in Jesus name (amen).

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Lenta(f): 9:42pm On Oct 21, 2018
Try a lesser version of Adobe. The same thing happened to me after filling out my forms. I did some research and I found out the Adobe version (Mac book latest) I had was not compatible so I downgraded to a lower version.

It's heartbreaking to imagine that an application made since July 8th is yet to be attended to. CIC sucks big time . No matter what anybody will say in their defence. If processing time was 9 weeks when I applied, it's height of crass negligence of duty. The nonsense usual response of 80% of blah blah is ridiculous. I am sure if this was to be a Nigerian visa application, we will all be crucifying Nigeria that the staff are inefficient. Double standard is when you make excuse for CIC's inefficiency but so quick to condemn Nigeria
