currentprice:

thatz your opinion anyway and you are entitle to it. do u know fairprice of julius barger at Q3 last year? less than N10.

posting my fairprice without long sweet words around it doesn't mean i use EPS alone, i know how far i go before arriving at my figures. EPS is one out of many metrics i use to arrive at my fairprice and it has being working nicely for me.

if i have less than N10 fairprice for last year Q3 and N25 at current Q then i have confident on my metrics.

i repeat again, we dont get award for being right here rather to catch fun

tongue tongue tongue

On the part in bold, I forgive u of the sarcasm, but u need to try and be a bit more mature. ...work on ur emotions and imbibe humility my dear. (we are all here to benefit ourselves)

Now back to the basics; since u usually use a combination of metrics, could u kindly tell us how u arrived at the Fair Value of N21 for ACCESS and N25 for JBERGER? (with ACCESS, based on Q3 alone according to u)
Pls this question is NOT with an intent to discredit u or anyone else for that matter.
...we are all here to learn from each other.

Cheers.

I don't think CP is talking about TTM, I think he is just being conservative by using only profit from core operation which is N3.4b hence his EPs of N2.7.

Like I said, a fair result in my own opinion but I will like them to improve on the profits from core operation.

Note , I hold some units of JB and it is still a hold for me.

Thank u Sir Pluto !!
I agree that they need to improve on their earnings from core line of operation, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the result of JBERGER is still a good one.
I always like to adjudge the pros and cons with respect to any result irrespective of whether I hold the said coy in my portfolio or not. (I did it here with CAVERTON the other day when I mentioned the small worry over their expense line and that of trade receivables)
...oftentimes, there are pros and cons with most result. The KEY is weighing both lines to see if the pros outweighs the cons. When this happens, the interpretation will depend on the degree of that weight therein to state whether a result is bad, good or fantastic.
...with JBERGER, it falls in the middle (good)
That said, I prefer to align with FACTS, but am always also open to constructive criticism where necessary. (not ridicule)

Note that I currently do not hold a single unit of JBERGER in my portfolio.

Regards.

RECENT SPECULATIONS ON CAPITAL INJECTION
Our attention has been drawn to recent media reports concerning new equity investment in
Diamond Bank Plc. Such reports have speculated on the identity of a new investor, with
permutations on the structure of the investment.
We wish to notify the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the General Public that these
reports are far from the truth. Diamond Bank is not in talks with any party, global or otherwise,
for any capital injection. While previous communication from the bank has highlighted a need
to shore up the Bank’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), the preferred option is an internal
capital management programme that has been explained in detail to analysts and investors.
While we recognize the need to expand our options in the short term, we have no concrete
new development to report and will notify The Exchange once there is any.
Yours faithfully,
For: DIAMOND BANK PLC
