One is seeing the bigger picture while the other is drawing from what is happening in his immediate environment to project an optimistic view. If its good for me its good for all.

Tony is not going to complain irrespective of which government is there because, he doesn't want to be caught in a partisan fight. just like Dangote will not complain either.

Peter Obi has this...one is speaking for the Micro Economy, the other for the Macro Economy. The Micro informs and substantiate the Macro...the real time economy defenders and upgraders we need.

The poster is wrong, while both Peter & Tony are right. It's not about doom. Peter is talking about debts, Tony is talking about potentials Of the Nigerian Economy which is independent of the government.

Tony Elumelu is talking big deals...and his optimism about the growth of the economy currently is almost believable...truth is the real time economy driven by small scale industries actually drive and engineers growth of the economy and sadly there are no concrete policies and government full proof plans under this current administration to see to that. Investors bring in the money, the current socio-political set-up now speaks for itself...the level of insecurity and all, so one begins to wonder at Tony's optimism.

One is a politician while the other is a businessman

I trust the businessman

Whenever ever a politician opens his mouth, it's all lies

OK I get you so well. The question is what can government do to stimulate industrial growth? One is to reduce wastage. Obi understands this very well. The money realized could be deployed for infrastructure development. The next is tax cut. I was never a proponent of tax cut but I know better today. With tax cut small scale businesses will thrive.
