Best development Let genuine people have a fair chance Nigerians always have a penchant for finding the quickest/easiest route out not considering the implications of their actions or that what they might be doing is Infact illegal or how it negatively affects others It’s a welcome development, more of such should be introduced 100kobo: |

Spring2019:You are welcome. Pls, I would advice u 2 start researching how to pay sevis fee, i think @walspring is famous here for helping peeps with that. You can also start filling your ds 160 form and save it on your computer. I have filled mine and saved on my system. Tho, there are some part I can't fill since I don't have admission yet. I would advice u go through your schools website and check thoroughly.(usually information for admitted students) You need to get as much info as u can get concerning factors that may delay your I-20. For example now, I recently discovered that the school am applying to won't issue out I-20 until they get official transcripts(some schools issue out I-20 before official transcripts but dey won't allow u 2 register for classes without having received ur official transcripts.) They also won't issue out I-20 if the schools compulsory vaccination form is not filled and scanned back to them. Like most schools, they also won't issue out I-20 form until u fill and submit d financial statement forms with copies of ur sponsors bank statements. But most school allow you to scan this financial form and bank statements back to them but for my school, u must ship it to them by courier, they don't accept scanned copies of bank statements and financial forms. those are the things am working on now: transcripts, how to get financial statements to them on time so as not to delay my form I-20, get doctor to fill vaccination form and even do one nonsense tuberculin skin test for tuberculosis I dint know all these things until some weeks back after checking their website thoroughly, I saw things I never saw there before. I mailed them for the ones I wasn't clear about and they replied me within hours. (i normally mail them within their working days and time tho). An by the side, I don dey write and answer likely interview questions also... Hopefully, we will get there in Jesus name. AMEN!!! So, there's still much to do with little time.... Arm ursef with as much information as possible. 1 Like |

AmaSophy:They are both evaluating bodies but the one turns out favourable results more than the other. ECE is the easier between the two but turns out less generous results. |

Bolarita97:To be honest you have a good profile (good undergraduate degree) but you should never have rebooked another interview immediately, you have a bsc already and you want to go for an associate degree, youre not exactly furthering your education that way are you? Unless of course you have a very good reason (which you have to figure out) since you already booked it However with good reasons, you might be able to convince the officer but it will be no mean feat If you’ve already booked for a second interview then I can make a suggestion, (I’m not assuring it would work, but you can try) pm me I believe knowing the right answers can give you a chance 1 Like |

Hi house, I got my I20 today, now i plan to use my Uncle who has enough money in his account,he has good travel history too.... But my major ish is we don't bear same surname and on the requirements for visa i saw I have to prove wt birth certificate dt we are related, how am I supposed to prove that because we don't have same name. Do i get a court statement? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Superbrain(m): 2:47pm On Oct 30, 2018 |
Gewezzy1: I do not believe this is a mandatory requirement- it is fine if your surname is different. Just make sure you provide an authentic bank statement and a sponsor's letter/affidavit. You should be able to respond to any questions the consular has about your relationship with your uncle and why he is committing to being your sponsor. 1 Like |

I can't think of a more selfless platform than nairaland. I had to speed read a good number of threads before I could truly understand the energy y'all putting up here... To the GURUs and other contributors, God bless y'all immensely. I have learnt a lot and truly understood the power of TOEFL, GRE, GMAT and high CGPA (I had a 4.03/five though) in regards to funding/scholarships/GAs. Since June, I've actually been on a lone wolf shit, doing the whole process myself and with help from a friend there, plus I wrote/called the school wella. Discovering nairaland wowed me. Well, I'm currently going for masters in information technology @ Concordia university Wisconsin (no TOEFL or GRE required). With a B. Eng. Degree. My Interview is loading come 01/18... Although I now know a lot of things I could have done better(OPTION WISE), I'd still hope for the best at current interview and leave the rest to God. So far I have seen the need to work on : Why CUW why MS IT what will the course do for you What's the rship to your first degree And what I'll do when I return. As I write... I'm seriously tensed while trying to figure out better answers to them. I'll try to churn out a likely transcript for your individual perusal ASAP. Bless. 2 Likes |
