The problem with Rauner is the same thing Trump will have in 2020 if he can survive Mueller. Rauner came in with his $ billion and spend over $100 million of his personal wealth to overwhelm Quinn. My point is that many red state house reps will not want to join any radical opposition to Trump because it will affect their reelection chances. You only need one house for the Democrats to stop all his plans. Nothing can go forward without the two parties working together. That's the way founding fathers envision it to be and that's why we are not a monarchy.

Trump should try to bring the country together after this midterm - heading into the election year 2019.
