Trump first term was sabotaged by Mitch McConnell. He refused to send Senate into recess unnecessarily delaying critical appointments. Trump don't want to have that this time. In his first term a lot of Republicans worked against him in private. Chief among them Mike Pence who would have prevented Mike Flynn from being forced to resign. Obama warned Trump not to appoint Flynn, chiefly because Flynn as Nat Sec Advisor would have revealed arming of ISIS affiliated "moderate gangs" via Benghazi and Turkey. Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Any Republican Senator seeking the coveted LEADERSHIP position in the United States Senate must agree to Recess Appointments (in the Senate!), without which we will not be able to get people confirmed in a timely manner. Sometimes the votes can take two years, or more. This is what they did four years ago, and we cannot let it happen again. We need positions filled IMMEDIATELY! Additionally, no Judges should be approved during this period of time because the Democrats are looking to ram through their Judges as the Republicans fight over Leadership. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THANK YOU! The top two senators don't seem right for the top Senate job One wanted Texan AG jailed. 2 Likes

IbeOkehie:You know one thing I despise about the Democratic Party and its supporters? Their arrogance to admit they are wrong. I have seen a group of people who arrogantly and defiantly insist on their way or no other way. You and I have questioned Nigerians in the US who love the lovey-dovey party why do they condone criminals who steal from businesses? Their response? "Businesses have insurance". Meanwhile, the biggest victims are small businesses aka mom-and-pop shops. Another is the clear lack of basic understanding of the economy. The Kamala of a woman (since there are over 1000 genders) stated there would be price controls to make housing affordable. But as you know Mr Ibe, there is nowhere in the world where price controls have worked in any capacity at all. But that is the person sane people are expected to vote for. Even their so-called "I have a PhD in Math voters" believe it would work. Good gracious lord! Furthermore, these people hate men and the nuclear family. I have never seen a group of people who innately despise the male folks, belittle them, feminise them, adore effeminate men and the nuclear family. For one, I am an advocate of abortion, especially in dire cases, but I don't support rampant abuse of it. People, including women, should be responsible for their actions. There are a 1000 and 1 contraceptives to prevent pregnancy. If e hard, become celibate. Celibacy no dey kill person. How a group want abortion to be a topical issue when the economy is bad, inflation is rising and lots of people are entering the country which stagnates blue-collar jobs' salaries is ridiculous. I am extremely glad they lost, and woefully at that. GOP is bad yen yen yen, but they amassed more votes across the country than they have ever done since the turn of the millennium. If that does not say something about the lovey-dovey party, I don't know what else would. 8 Likes |

basilico: Arizona. Trump +180k, House +128k Kari -66k as of latest drip drip drop Another opinion. AZ STEAL STATUS: Ruben Gallego Lead Over Kari Lake Grows To 66,305. He now has 1,556,441 Votes. That's incredulous 154,611 MORE than Kamala's 1,401,830 votes. Kari Lake has 1,490,136 votes. That's 96,451 LESS than Trump's 1,586,587. Makes absolutely no sense. Ballots still to be counted: 270,239. find me a race where that has happened ... |

Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is President-Elect! by COOL10(m): 10:40am On Nov 11 |
It's just 5 days since Trump got elected, yet everything and everyone, especially the terrorists have been running from pillar to post trying to put themselves in order before Papa Trump assumes office. You know that feeling when your father goes to work and then you start doing something that he warned you not to do, and then some hours later you hear the sound of his car horn in front of the house gate? You begin to run like a mad man/woman trying to hide all the evidence of the atrocities you committed. You turn on "good boy mode" immediately hoping that your father ignores you when it's time for your punishment . Well, I wouldn't expect the DEMONcrats to know that feeling because a lot of them don't even know who their fathers are. Those who know their fathers aren't in talking terms with them. They actually hate their fathers. I'm so glad that most Americans made the right choice, not just for themselves but for the rest of the world as well. 😊 2 Likes 1 Share |
Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is President-Elect! by COOL10(m): 10:52am On Nov 11 |
basilico: Exactly. They wanted to abolish the electoral college because they thought that was the only way Trump could win. They never envisaged Trump winning the popular votes, especially not with the amount of work that CNN and the likes have put into intentionally misinforming and brainwashing people. This is the biggest disgrace that the DEMONcrats have experienced in a very long time, and they brought this upon themselves. They have only themselves to blame. They should be really ashamed of themselves. They're gonna suffer for a verrrrry lonnng time, because if JD Vance remains as likeable and composed as he currently is, I don't see anyone defeating him in 2028 if he decides to run for president, let alone if he picks Vivek or Tulsi as his Vice. 1 Like |

IMAliyu2: It's infuriating coming to find that democrats were aware of these problems and are only just pointing them out after losing woefully. They knew Kamala's campaign didn't align with the goals of the Americans but kept on yapping about abortion, women rights, LGBTQ, and what-not. She too, made ridiculous campaign policies like price control and unrealized capital gain taxes. I saw a meme today that made me laugh. It read something like; "A group of rich people that the people are poor because another group of rich people are hoarding wealth." That was how I felt about the whole, "The rich should pay their fair share." If Oprah wanted to pay her fair share, she'd be doing so willingly, and not waiting to be forced to do so. Like? The hypocrisy. What's worse, they happen to fool intellectuals. |
Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is President-Elect! by kkins25(m): 1:10pm On Nov 11 |
COOL10: Folks here say "Africans hate Barack Obama." But, Obama is to blame for that. Nigeria was under siege during the Boko Haram era, and this man was talking to us about Gay rights. We needed weapons and High tech to tackle the insurgence, and he later withdrew his support. He went on to shake hands with Buhari, endorsing Buhari.... hahah. That's why Nigerians, like myself, fell off the democrat train. I recall, back in Uni, we used to mimic his voice saying, how we'd love to be able to captivate people like he does. Too bad. 4 Likes |
Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is President-Elect! by COOL10(m): 1:54pm On Nov 11 |
kkins25: Absolutely correct. Who would have thought that Obama would be one of, if not the most divisive politician in American history. If not for racial/identity politics, wetin pesin like Obama dey do for White House? The thing is that people were hungry for a black, eloquent speaker like Martin Luther King, and they found that in Obama. He used his eloquent speeches to deceive the whole world. I remember how happy I was when he won in 2008 thinking he would be a great president and represent us black people well. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Obama destroyed America. We can call the whites racists all we want, but how can we blame them when the two people that have been selected to represent black folks are nothing but destructive elements? Obama was terrible, and Kamala was obviously going to be worse. How can black people cry for so many years for the opportunity to lead America and then when they were given the opportunity to do so, they ended up presenting Obama and Kamala of all people? How do they expect the whites to take them seriously? Just look at how Obama destroyed the once beautiful Libya. Obama supported APC in 2015 and till now the DEMONcrats still support APC. There's a reason why most of the Nigerians supporting Kamala also support APC and Hamas. They're all connected. Trump is the only president in recent memory who didn't send American soldiers to go and die in unnecessary wars. That's the kind of president America needs and not some dumb ass Kamala who doesn't even know where her soldiers are. |

My uncle and his family flew in from California on Saturday, he was talking about the election with my friends. He was disappointed Trump won, and he thinks Trump is a racist. Most of the things the media says about Trump he thinks are real. I never shared my opinion, I was just listening and that's me at work as well. |

raumdeuter: Every day since the election has felt like Christmas. There are some murmurs about the Stefanik pick because of the slim House majority. But Stefanik has been pushing for this role since before the election and it feels like she's earned it. It's also great that he is thinking about 2028 and giving our rising stars the opportunity to blossom. Stefanik, Tulsi, Sanders. If only Noem hadn't written about her dog and Lake had won one of her elections. Excited to see more ladies rise to national prominence over the next 4 years. -Lord |

Kukutente23:I am amused you did not include religion, like whether I choose to train my children to be Muslims or Christians or Buddhists or atheists. With science or arts, yes I do choose for my child, or rather, did. As a trained teacher, I focused on teaching my children science and arts (history, accounting etc) because I wanted them to be proficient in both so they may be more intelligent and have more choices. With right or left hand, they may choose. If I'd been concerned about their football playability however, I definitely would have put the time in to train them to practice to ensure they use both their left and right feet as it would make them better footballers. Even with their religion, I their parent choose that too, while giving them the tools to make choices for themselves when they become adults. I understand you might not be the same kind of parent I have been, and instead left the choosing for your children to the teacher and school who wants to choose their gender for them. And if that is the case, I will claim you have been far less responsible for your children's choices than proactive I have been. You may now want to argue that children are born to prefer science or art, or which hands they use, and I will be very interested in hearing you claim children are born transgender too, but know in advance that you will be on shaky ground, since your position to this point is "school and teacher programs them". Kukutente23:Transgenderism is first a psychological condition, which is definitely medical. That's why the initial stage of treatment is that of the psychological assessment of both the child and it's parents. We will after all need to determine if the child is gender dysphoric because its parent or teacher have fed it crap, and to determine how deep its dysphoria is. And we wouldn't just allow a surgical gender change, which is medical, because a child wants one without first psychologically (medically) assessing the child, and its parents. Better is, the creation of a healthy psychological environment so some teacher or school can't go and reprogram your children to be the opposite gender of what you their parents have born them to be. And you claiming I am ignorant or don't have children is simply a ploy you adopt because you haven't got a valid argument about the medical and political debate that surrounds it. Ones own child being gender dysphoric is definitely not a political debate. 2 Likes |

basilico:So, just vibes, that's your rational? No evidence, no nothing? You're saying Democrats have the power to steal and win any position including the presidency, but decided they will just settle for around 50% of the lower chamber of the legislature? Note: We don't know that'll be the majority even, votes are still being counted. You're Not presenting a compelling case. 3 Likes 1 Share |
