POHB EPISODE 34 WITH DOLEFUL EYES.. TOTALLY CONFUSED ON WHAT WAS HAPPENING.. MARY SAT OPPOSITE SHARON, JACOB SAT BESIDE HER..... she curl her lips, all the strange events came running into her head... Who could be the bastard behind everything..... They just sat down, non was saying anything..... Sharon furrowed her brows, her hand working back and forth on her forehead.... The realization of the fact that someone was scaring them sent cold feets to her..... Made her shivers at any thought of it... Someone.. ,Someone dangerous was sending threats to them.... Her brain had shut down,she was unable to think.. Unable to guess, She was clammy and there was the glisten of a cold sweat. Her eyes were as wide as if someone was coming to deliver the fatal blow. Yet what scared her was the unknown.. The dangerous unknown person.... ,Trapped in her own psychosis, a living nightmare for one, tailor made by her own brain and their evil threat sender to play on her deepest fears.......the fear of dying..... Mary wrapped her hands around herself... Wallowing in her own thoughts, she breathed in and out but air wouldn't enter her lungs. Starved for air, her heart raced at tremendous speeds, and her lungs shallowly rose and fell in time. The happenings and the threats swarmed her head, Satisfaction of security was nothing but a distant memory , and an invisible force crushed her from every possible direction. Each second submerged in fear made a permanent mark on her heart, and a vivid imagination made her wander whether it was just her mind playing tricks or reality........... They shivered when a knock sounded on the door...... Sharon quickly stood up, her head bubbling up questions of who was knocking....she could feel the sensation of her heart palpitating...forcing ripples of it's throbbing blood directly to her temples. She stood, paralyzed, and felt her once-agile legs crumple beneath her... Then she sigh.. A deep sigh of relief when she heard her name... She immediately recognise the voice.. Without a second thought she trot her legs towards the door..... She opened it with the key and turn down the knob........ She snort..then jut her chin...... "Hey.... "she muttered faintly..... "What's going on.....? Taiwo boom out from outside...... When Sharon gave no reply, he entered.. His gaze shift to Mary.. Then to Jacob.. Each looking pale like someone had died..... He shift back his gaze to Sharon who was already walking back to where she was sitting........ He puff and brought out the paper....... "Who could have sent this to me.....? He ask anxiously with furrowed brows..... Impatiently waiting for a reply....... Sharon clenched her fingers.... Frown lines encroach on her forehead....... "It's a warning..... " "Yes i can see is a warning... Why sent it to me..... ? With a huff... Sharon shift her gaze to Jacob whose hands were propelled against each other.. Then she shift back her gaze to Taiwo...... "Jacob received the same note....... " Taiwo grunts.. Then he slowly bit his lower lip..... "Does this mean Manny abductor sent this..... " A second of silent followed his question then Mary spoke up...... "Yes...... "Mary said with woeful eyes..... Her head recalling the events and the threats.... Her inner mind screaming questions at her, questions she can't find an answer to....... "Someone doesn't want us to find Manny..... " Taiwo fell his hands to his leg... The tip of his finger hitting slow on his trouser......he curl his lips..... "I don't understand, why won't anyone abduct Manny in the first place...... ? Sharon hissed at his question.. She look away..a gleen of sweat fell from her brow and sheen down her cheek... then she spun round to face him with an askance look....... "Why are you asking as if you don't know what has been going on.......? "I don't know Sharon....? He retorted....... "I don't know anything..... What have Manny done that will make someone to send me a threat note..... " A feeling of dread crept up from the pit of Mary's stomach, a cold wave embalmed her as her hairs rose on the back of her neck and her mouth ran dry.....she swallowed... Eyes twickling.. Then she turn her gaze to Taiwo........."You aren't the only one a threat note was sent to..... "She snarled... The menacing aura sending exasperation to her... Slowly engulfing her..... Taiwo exhales.... Abashed at his own outburst..... "I think we should tell the police about this......? Jacob interjects.... His lower sexy pink lip dropped as the words slip out from his mouth..... Mary shift her gaze to him but didn't say anything..... "This is getting out of hand.... "Taiwo scurred... A galling peevishness slowly creeping it's way into him....... "We have to tell the police..... " Mary snort.. Then she reclined her head on the chair....... "The police........?..Sharon muttered.... "involving the police now, wouldn't that be dangerous....... ? "What can be dangerous than the situation we are in.....? Taiwo snapped....... "Someone sent us a threatening note... Doesn't that tell you anything....? "Yeah......!, Mary interjects....... "It tells us Manny is in real danger and the police won't do anything about it..... "She said with a feeling of resentment... "You don't know that...."Taiwo said... He gritted..... "The police is our last resort now..... " "The note said stop finding or you die......... "Sharon quote..... "Involving the police is doing exactly that......" "Do you have any bright ideas.... Because i've totally ran out... "Taiwo said... Sharon puff but didn't say anything..... "Look..... "Jacob said..... "At this point the police is our best option.... It's very obvious now that someone has Manny and he doesn't want us to find her........" "Am very sure is that black guy..... "Mary interjects with fierce energy.... "What black guy....? Sharon ask with knitted brows...... "The motorcycle guy...... "Mary replied shapily... an ire umbrage pricking deep into her.....she gave out a snort...... "You were right,he just gave me those names to mislead me..... He has Manny and am very sure he attacked Jasmine....... " "Wait.......!, Taiwo cut in... He purse his lips..... "Jasmine, your new flat mate....... "he pause waiting eagerly for an answer.. When non came he continued..... "She was attacked......? Sharon exhales and look away.. Then she turn back to face him... His question hanging in the air....... "We saw her on the floor bleeding from her head...... " "What.......? Both Jacob and Taiwo said in unison..... "Who could have attacked her......?Taiwo ask shapily.... He took a deep drag then he realise his question was stupid... ......"We need to tell the police..... " He waited... Waiting patiently for anyone to reply him or support him...... "Do you all know the seriousness of what is going on.....? He ask infuriated.... "I ve been going to the police since i noticed Manny was missing.... Till date the police did nothing.. They don't believe, they think Manny has ran off with a man because she's a girl... The police don't care... "It will be different this time........ "Taiwo cut in... "How so......!, Mary snapped........ "He's right Mary... This is getting out of hand,we need to inform the police...... "Jacob interjects.... Mary fold her hands across her chest but didn't say anything.... Taiwo puff..... "This time we will all be going there.... We are all aware that something has happened to Manny.... The police will have no choice but to believe.........." He exhales when no reply came, then he glance at the time...... "It's late now, we can't go to the police now.. ,But first thing tomorrow morning we are going there... This nonsense must stop.... Manny must be found....... " As the last words drip from his mouth, they all crunched down to their different thoughts...... ************************* A slow wind blew the curtain of her room.... Mary quickly stood up from the bed.... She peeped outside.... The darkness sent shivers to her skin.. Her hair elapsing at the tense reaction of it..... She couldn't sleep... She kept thinking about Manny, where she could be..... She pick up her phone,she stare at the time, it was 2:20am midnight...... She took a deep drag then she scroll to her gallery..... Tears sheen down from her eyes as she began to look at Manny's pictures...... She sniff and more tear drop.. She curled her lips and rest her back on the wall....for a while the wind stopped blowing.. Leaving the pricking eyes of the darkness outside stare at her........... She quickly wrapped her hands around her pillow... More uncontrollable tears drip down... Her inner mind telling her that wherever Manny is, she must be suffering... In pains that she cant even begin to imagine...... Just then she heard a car horn....... Fear grip her followed by questions.... The horn came again, this time more loud than before..... She jump up from the bed.. The horn was close like it was coming from their gate.... Heart throbbing she listened.... The horn came again.. This time continuously.... Her heart almost ripped out of her chest.... Could it be Manny.... ? She shook with fear.. Her whole body trembled as a knock came on her door.... She quickly opened and she saw Sharon.. Fear stripped in her eyes.... The horn came again.... "It's coming from the gate.... "Sharon muttered with shaking mouth..... Not answering her, Mary trot towards the parlour..... With trembling feet, Sharon tag along behind her.... Heart pounding hard... Mary look out from the window as the horn came again.... Now it was pretty obvious it was from the gate.... "Who could it be.....? Sharon ask with trembling mouth..... "I have no idea.... "Mary replied, mouth lips propelled against each other.... They stood wallowing in their fears as the horn came again.. More tense.. More loud.... Sounding in their ears.... Mary quickly move towards the door.... "Where are you going.....? Sharon ask shapily with trembling hands.... "It could be Manny..... "She muttered....... Sharon swallowed hard....... "Okay fine.... Call someone.. Call anyone.. Call Francis... Anyone... " "At this time of the night? "We don't know who's horning.. We don't know who is there..... We are girls, we can't take that risk..... " Not giving her a dignity of a reply, Mary opened the door..... Then she took the gate keys and a flashlight The horn came again more loud..... Slowly heart racing at tremendous speed, she trot forward, each step she takes warning her she was matching to her death.... But it could be Manny.. It could be someone else... Or it could be a monster..... "Mary please don't do this..... "Sharon whimpered from behind her........"Please am scared..... " Mary didn't reply, she just kept moving forward..... The light on the fence wasn't enough for her, so she panned the flashlight on her hand...... Slowly.. Feets trembling beneathe her... She move forward.. A few pace from the gate...... Sharon just stood at the door, shaking.. Thinking of Who to call.....Totally bewildered...... She ran after Mary...... The car horn came again sending cold feet to both girls.... Fear running deep inside them...... "Manny is that you.....? Mary called out when she drew closer to the gate....... The car horn replied them....... "Mary don't open that gate, that isn't Manny.... "Sharon whimpered with shaking mouth..... "Manny please if that's you, answer us.... "Mary said again... Fear coated in her voice.. Adrenaline licking through her.... No reply came.. The horn stopped.... With pounding heart both girls stare at each other then the horn came again interrupting everything running in their head....... Mary swallowed hard... A risk was worth taking......... Sharon stepped in front of her..... "You can't do this Mary... That isn't Manny...... " Mary snort, she panned the flashlight around... Looking for anything that she could use as a shade.... The horn came again,this time more loud... Mary quickly remenber there was a cutlass at the back of the house... Without hesitation.. She ran there,Sharon following her all the way.... "This is a bad idea...... "Sharon said as Mary hold the cutlass and began to head back to the gate.. The horn mouting in their ears....... She spun round immediately to face Sharon... Rage swimming in her eyes..... "If that isn't Manny,whoever the bastard is, am facing him.... " With those words she trot forward... Then she got to the gate...... She handed the flashlight to Sharon... Heart racing fast... Fingers clenching.. With shaking hand, she open the gate as the horn came again..... She took a deep drag and muttered a silent prayer...... ,When the horn stopped, she pushed the gate open.......... A jarring prostration gagged her as she saw the car parked in front of the compound.... She look ahead....heart pounding she saw someone running in the darkness........ "Who are you....... "She shouted...... "What do you want? She continued screaming until she heard no racing steps again.... The darkness swallowed the person up...... "Oh my God...... "Sharon muttered with mouth slack-jawed as she panned the touch on the car...... "It's Manny car......." With a deep drag, Mary ran towards the car.... the front windshield was broken..... She collected the flashlight from Sharon and panned it inside hoping to see Manny somewhere lying in the car.... But she wasn't there.... Wasn't anywhere in the car.... Tears flushed down her eyes...... Eyes flicking, Sharon saw something as the flashlight points to the direction............ "Mary look..... "She said with trembling mouth.. Mary looked, she pick up the teddy bear hooked to the driver's seat with the seatbelt....... She panned the touch at it..... Her eyes poke out in shock as she saw the words in the tag....... Sharon look at the teddybear then she read out the words on the tag........ "LOVESUN... " DEATH........ TORTURE....... FEARS........ WHO IS THE BLACK MAN.......?
