Senatorkolade: You're actually correct with your standpoint. The applicant I used as a case study, his application was processed and approved by Lagos visa officer. This was when some applications were transferred and handled by Lagos as at the beginning of this year. Indeed, I will say that he was lucky for not have being called for medicals and was granted visa. I guess this might be an oversight from the Lagos VO's because I can remember vividly that they were very compassionate in issuing visas to Nigerians unlike Kenya VO's. Also, there was much approvals from them and London VO's. In a nutshell, the applicant that got a notification today that the processed passport has been dispatched, should go and pick up the passport, share her profile, apply for her GCMS note, restrategize and refire! It shall end in praises! 1 Like |

I got an admission for MBA Program at University Canada West for January but now the school sent an email that I need to send my study permit to them before 28th of November, it is becoming late and I want to defer my admission to April 2019. I need someone to advice me on how to communicate with Canadian Embassy on the deferment. Kindly, help me if there is any link that I need to submit my deferment documents to them. very urgent pls. |

Hey guys, this is my first-time on here, fortunately stumbled on this forum after my refusal a week ago. Please I need help to help re-strategize and reapply again. I was refused based on the fact that I might not return after the course of my studies due to purpose of visit, personal and financial situation, travel history and employment status. Presently, my dad is sponsoring the whole process with about 14m , I am presently unemployed (did voluntarily work as an intern for 6months ), no family assets in my name as I am the second child, no travel history, and I am going to do a PGD programme in leadership in global business practices (hrm and IBM) a 2 years program at thunder bay Canada (confederation college) , have a first degree of international studies and diplomacy , . Please I need help and advice on how to re package my application and solve all these issues raised . Please a reply would be greatly appreciated |

Andrepete: It's sad to hear your visa was rejected! The reasons for your refusal has already been discussed a year ago on this thread. Please go through YOUR REFUSAL GROUNDS and also ORDER YOUR GCMS NOTE to know the factual reasons behind your refusal. |

Andrepete: It's very possible to change your course of study. What program do you intend switching afterwards, is it a lucrative field that is financially rewarding in Nigeria after graduation from Canada.? |

I want to change the course before reapplying again and I hope if doesn't affect my application o. What do you think sire |

I just confirmed it my application is been processed at Lagos. I think from Nov to mid Feb , paper application are been processed in Lagos and not kenya |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Success2019: 11:11pm On Nov 14, 2018 |
I think because of huge application and some stuck application many online application are been shifted to kenya and they also have to deal with paper application too. Dat why some paper application are been processed in Lagos. |

Jummy902: Jummy902: Hello Jummy902, Are you sending a mail to them just to confirm the visa office that is handling your application? In the case that's what you intend doing, I must utter that it doesn't appear logical and for sure they won't respond to your query if you don't have a cogent reason for contacting them and also if your application hasn't exceeded the normal processing times for Nigerian applicants (15 Weeks). Please for crying out loud, let's allow these guys do their job and stop putting unnecessary fears on ourselves. The most important thing is getting an approval, not minding the visa office processing the visa. Peace! 2 Likes |

Success2019: I am very interested in this topic!... Please educate the house on how you came up with this? I know very well that all paper applications after submission do get an email notification that their application are being processed at Lagos with an additional email correspondence notifying them of their local tracking number. This doesn't imply they are the ones handling the visa application, because all paper applications are being couriered to Kenya visa office for due visa processing. I believe that's the reason you used the word (I think) @ the bolded 1 Like |

Andrepete: Changing a course of study in order to address the concerns of the visa officer about your previous refused visa application doesn't affect your application, either it increases your chances and also goes a long run to satisfy the visa officer that you're a bona-fide applicant and your sole purpose of travelling to Canada is strictly for studies. Go ahead and apply for a program that has a strong correlation with your previous studies/current job role it demonstrates progression. All the best! |

Hi House, I received my admission letter to UBc for a thesis based masters last week. My supervisor said I will get a letter from the dean saying The annual stipend for a BIMB MSc student is $17,500. Funding for the stipend is typically provided through teaching assistantships (TA; about $12,592) in the Department of Chemistry, research assistantships (RA; at least $4,908) from My supervisor and graduate awards administered through the College of Graduate Studies. Each year you will be able to apply for a TA position. To apply for a TA position, submit your Curriculum Vitae and a letter of interest outlining any previous teaching experience to chemistry.okanagan@ubc.ca. You are also eligible for the Graduate Deans Entrance Scholarship of $5,000. Can I use this letter for my visa application and will I still need to show a proof of $10000 and tuition fee(8605) Will I have to get accepted for the teaching assistantship first or it doesn’t matter. Also, if Yes, I’m required to provide proof, like how much is needed as the account balance (using solely an uncle as sponsor) Thanks |
