I think she should be given one more chance because she worked hard and she was a successful Speaker before. The main disadvantage to her is that she's 78 year old. ONE more term as a Speaker and the Democrats can look for new leader.

But she has indicated that she would be in the position for a long time. I interpret that as her only serving till 2020, then stepping down for another person to take over.

The conservatives control the Executive, judicial and half of the legislative arms of government at national level as well as majority of the governor's houses in and state houses.
