Besides, those who came up with the Jubrin story say they have incontrovertible proof of the veracity of their reports; proof that they have still not shared with us till today. I mean, how hard can it be? If you can tell us the man occupying the president's seat is not indeed the president, you should as well give us proof so we can believe you. Else if someone else says you are not who say you are, we should believe the person too, since proof can be discarded so easily and deemed unimportant.

Such a beautifully written article, I almost wished it would never end!

At first, I thought the Jubrin story was just one of the many things Buhari was being taunted with knowing that Nigerians have a penchant for insults but like the author writes, the sheer tenacity of the story is mind-boggling especially considering that it's also being peddled by clearly lettered people.

It's disturbing. Fake news could be disastrous. I recall that there was a time the military engaged in medical outreach in the southeast only for IPOB to announce that the government was planning to infect their kids with diseases. The allegation on its own is ludicrous but the saddest part was that majority of those who heard this ran to the schools of their children and wards to withdraw their kids and effectively sabotage a wonderful inititiative because of a news that was being spread on whatsapp. Why?! Why can't we abstain from hateful politics? There's nothing as effective in combatting ineptitude as truth.

Please, my people, truth is always a better option than dangerous, divisive lies. If you must tell lies, do endeavour to avoid those that'd make you look irredeemably daft by sane folks.

people are not stupid pls.... why would d military engage in medical outreach, why??.... d Red Cross and various NGOs are dere, when has it become d work of d military to start giving injections.... I would run to school to take my children too. I'm Yoruba btw

There are 4 categories of Nigerians in all of this bullshit.

Category 1: Those who think that everything about Jibrin is senseless and unimaginable and wonder how any reasonable adults could bask in such stupidity.

Category 2: Those who think that it is completely false but are using it for political gains to deliberately cast doubts on the minds of the supporters of the President.

Category 3. Those who think that it is false but were very elated when Fayose and FFK told them that Buhari was dead. This group of people is more than happy to substitute the news of Buhari's death with the news about Jibrin's existence.

Category 4. Those who actually believe the Jibrin story with all of their bodies and souls. This group comprises majorly ignorant and uneducated people.

Where do you belong?

ur right there are 4 types of Nigerians

but not like what u said

1. those who don't believe in it because it seems illogical

2. those who don't believe in it because it came from kanu and once anything involving Igbo or ipob comes up their brains shut down.

3. those who don't believe but aren't saying it's isn't true either but believe with all the serious points brought up it's worth considering because they understand that if there is even a 1% chance that it's true then it should be taken seriously ( I fall into this group)

4. Those who believe it with all their heart mostly because kanu said so

u fall into 2

While I generally don't want to hold brief for president Buhari, i feel that if we want to be critical of the man, a bit of critical thinking should be applied too.

1) For those wondering how come it is that Buhari returned fit from the UK; is kt impossible for someone to travel for treatment and return well (which was the point of the travel in the first place), especially considering the fact that he had the best medical care there and the time it took him to get treatment and recuperate?

2) For those wonderig why he hasn't fallen sick since then, well, we saw how publicizing the state of his health panned out the last time. Wouldn't it follow that the presidency would be more reticent as regards making news of the president's health public for all subsequent illnesses? Besides, the president has travelled since then, on more than one occasion to the same UK he was hospitalized in. You think he wouldn't have used the opportunity to get medical care and get checkups carried out? Also, the last time the president went on a vacation and left the Vice President in charge, where did he go to? The same UK where he received treatment! How come none of this comes up in this whole Jibrin abi Jubrin matter?

Bruv we are in the age of fake news where many now believe ludicrous tales that are completely illogical. They will then call out others, with more important things to do with their time, to 'show evidence' that dispproves the inane allegations. Imagine Buhari joining issues with Kanu and then going on TV to announce "I am not a clone" ? He would be an international laughing stock overnight.

What facts has Kanu produced? The fact is that if your heart is full of hate for others then there is nothing you will not consider as "fact" if such is something that seeks to malign those you hate passionately. Hate damages objectivity and rational reasoning and that is precisely what is happening here.

As an example, go and see the youtube video of Kanu saying he is going to Abuja and will return with the head of Buhari. Those around him cheered and jubilated wildly because they believed him out of hatred for Buhari - never mind the ludicrous impossibility of Kanu's claim.

The whole thing is madness and the more folks like you talk of "Kanu facts", instead of distancing yourself from the mad man and IPOB, the more the stock of Igbo will fall in Nigeria to the detriment of good and productive Igbos who are not part of this imbecilic insanity grown adults are displaying because of blind hatred for others.

u want facts?

why did the Queen send a condolence letter to Nigeria on the death of buhari? was a whole queen misinformed?

what about the former British lawmaker that first made the noise he an ipob member right?

why couldn't "buhari" enter his office after coming back ? because of a rat? and instead of killing the rat they changed the lock if the door which requires a thumb print to open!

why did trump call buhari "lifeless" ? people thought he was referring to his performance in office but forgot to think of the literal meaning of lifeless which is DEAD

there are so many other points and questions

now the story may or may not be true but it's worth considering don't let ur hate for kanu shut ur mind down to possibilities !

When you consider how IPOB youths are sold out on this Jubrin propaganda then you will begin to understand why the SE needs pity even more than the northerners. It shows the absence of rational and intelligent reasoning process among the youths of this region, how on earth will a people so shallow and bereft of logical thought process compete favourably in a diverse country like Nigeria?

I have lived long enough in this country to know that considering the desperation of our leaders anything is possible in this country.
We saw the case with yaradua where they continued to rule by proxy while the President was dead. If not for Dora that exposed the lie who would have known?
In this technologically advanced era anybody can easily be disguised as anybody as there are skin-like silicone masks that can be molded into any facial features one desires. Buhari rarely speaks to the press here in Nigeria so there's no way to be sure the jubril story is not true.
Our successive governments have lied to us countless times so let's keep our fingers crossed.

Buhari is a mature and dignified President tasked with leading a Country with very difficult problems. Addressing frivolous and ludicrous claim will make him look unserious by default but you would not understand this because of blind hatred of the man.

It is like expecting Buhari to strip his wife naked in public because some demented folk say she is a man. When you get in the mud with a pig then people will not be able to differentiate pig or man as both are covered with mud.

Buhari is doing the right thing refraining from getting into the mud with demented Pigs. He will only look equally insane if he begins to dignify wild and demented claims put in the public by lunatics consumed with hate.

Majority of the literate class in Nigeria are actually uneducated including university graduates. Literacy is only the ability to read and write, it doesn't automatically amount to education.

I have met masters degree holders in Nigeria who can't think. Even their project/thesis was the intellectual property of someone else.

The very first basic element of education is the ability to think and ask "how and why" in every situation and it's rare amongst Nigerian graduates.

Buhari was very sick and always goes for medical checkups, he was even rushed outside the country from one of his campaign grounds, he has brain problems that always make him to forget things or pronounce things wrongly e.g. Osibande, West Germany etc. Since he came back from the London hospital everything changed, he became younger and can trek for a long distance.

What kept him in London hospital for over 100 days?

Why was Aisha crying when he returned from London hospital?

Why was he unable to open his office upon his return from London hospital.....they should spare us that rat story......they only bought time to change the whole security doors.
