Devolution should have been there since independence in my opinion. It has been transformative in the sense that we are opening up new investments at the grassroots levels in a much quicker pace than before. I've personally felt it but just like the World Bank says,we need to strengthen it.Going forward,I need to see the economic blocks made up of various counties doing big things.On the other side of the coin,it has been controversial in the idea that it has devolved corruption and lead to over-representation. However,I always choose to remain an optimist,devolution to me is one of the cogs that we needed for our growth and prosperity. I need to see more funds channelled towards strengthening devolved governance.

Overall to me just like the way a Kenyan would put it,devolution has been a gamechanger.It's the best thing to have come since sliced bread.If we strengthen it,we will reap much from it without a doubt!

As you have said,devolution has promoted money laundering and corruption in some instances but for the case of one of our visionary governor for machakos county,he has been applauded as among the most working governors alongside with the governors of kakamega,kisii and kisumu counties and yet rumours have it that he has been alleged to have engage himself in money laundering activities,how worth is this yet we can see some of the development fruits he has brought to the residents of machakos county?

I have been to many Kenya online forums - when they were the in-thing - somewhere in 2000s - about 15yrs -Mashadas - and I can tell you I never met Kenyans who were so boneheaded like these guys.I have passed by TZ forum(jamii) - they at least hide behind swahili - which I find so hard to read. You can imagine this guy [forgiveness] is probably the best they've got just like KaziKazi is leading light of Danganyika.
