There is no credibility in their emergence as league winners. Our 2018/2019 continental campaign is all a joke.

Hopefully Rangers bring their good plays & their good luck

Seeing their signings I believe they can do fine, but Lobi? I will receive any results they bring with an open mind

I hope you know that national team football is different from club football...between Iheanacho and Diabate...i will take Diabate who has more drive and is more incisive...even younger...Nacho is more experienced but that does not add value to our national team CURRENTLY....Puel of Lyon is not the Puel of Liecester...He had wonderful players including Govou,Gorginho, that Malian and othes...he played smooth football in France...He thinks Iheanacho is a finished product...no....He should work on him to trap very well...DRIBBLE too....use a bit of right leg...work on his free kick too...and above all SHOOT FROM AFAR....all these have disappeared from Nacho `s play and WORST IS THAT ROHR HAS NOT SEEN IT

Judge Iheanacho with time. Not speculations after not regular runs of games in Conservative systems. Please Nacho has pulled off dribbles, nice first touches and most of all amazing long range shots for you to make it look like he is deficient.

No need working on the right but drive on perfecting his left.

Finito.

2018 AWC permutations.

No country is through to the semi finals and no country has crashed out yet. Meaning any of the 8 teams can crash out and any of the 8 teams can qualify. How?

Group A
Cameroon 6 +4
Mali 3 +0
Ghana 3 +0
Algeria 0 -4

Final group fixtures:
Cameroon vs Ghana, Algeria vs Mali.

Cameroon can only crash out if Ghana beats Cameroon by 3 goals marigin and Mali wins Algeria by same score line.

Algeria can qualify if Algeria beat Mali by 3 goal margin and Cameroon beats Ghana by any Margin.

Mali will qualify if they draw or beat Algeria by any Margin and Cameroon beats Ghana by any margin

Ghana can qualify if they beat Cameroon by any margin and Algeria and Mali play a draw or Algeria wins. Meaning if Ghana beats Cameroon 1 goal margin and Mali beats Algeria, Ghana will still crash out.

Pretty open but favorites to qualify are Cameroon and Mali.

Group B
South Africa 6 +7
Nigeria 3 +3
Zambia 3 +1
E/ Guinea 0 -11

Final fixtures:
South Africa vs Zambia
Nigeria vs E/ Guinea

South Africa can crash out if they lose to Zambia by 4-0 and Nigeria win E/ Guinea by any margin.

E/ Guinea will qualify if they beat Nigeria by 8-0 and South Africa beats Zambia by any margin.

Nigeria will qualify if Nigeria beats E/Guinea by any Margin and Zambia beats SA by 3 or less goals or South Africa beats Zambia by any Margin or they play a draw.

Zambia will qualify if they beat SA by 4 or more goals and Nigeria beats E/ Guinea or E/ Guinea beats Nigeria by any Margin.

Seems a mountain so high for E/Guinea and Zambia.
SA and Nigeria favorite to qualify as first and Second respectively.

Firstly, I think we need to move away from this presumption that's it's all Rohr. Rohr is involved but thee are other players and participant's with thier differing agendas.

Musa was dead and buried in Leicester the EPL is not for all players. He then wisely decided to return to his comfort zone. Russian league he then had a complete resurgence in his career, that was the justification for his call up.

Club selection policy can be problematic sometimes when thier is conflict between Manager and player or other interests. Such as Dominic Iorfa is having at Wolves whuch resulted in an FA inquiry into Wolves and the activities of super agent Mendes running the club by proxy. Wolves has more Portuguese players than Benfica and Porto. That's a clear cut non football issue excluding a player.

With regards to club selection, I don't know of any current player of Nigerian origin that was clearly excluded for matters that were not related to performance.

Uzoho gets in because Enyeama was denied opportunity in the first place. And because we simply did not have any quality goal keeper, it seems. In this event when the desirable is not available the available becomes desirable by certain individuals in the NFF.

There were many other goal keepers available but they were not given OPPORTUNITY. So we will never know how good they could have been or not been.

Uzoho is there right now, is he the best goal keeper we have, I 100% doubt it. Across the entire local leagues you are saying thier was nobody. I simply don't believe that.

No, no, no...

Musa was still getting called despite playing in the u23 of Leicester City. Relying strictly on club form would have been disastrous.

Uzoho is holding it down for the team. I will always encourage a continuous search but Uzoho's selection was not due to club form strictly.

Anyone that saw our friendly against Argentina would have thought we would make it to the QF of the WC

I watched them in the AFCONQ, they remain the same team I saw at AFCON'17

I'd check for the match against Brazil all the same

I in all honesty can not with integrity create a list.

But I would over twelve months invite a least 30 players who have been outstanding in club and league and give them opportunity.

That opportunity will translate to both training and games and if we have to arrange more friendlies so be it. But it will be a measured balanced level playing field where justification is by performance not assumption of quality but proven quality.

From that selection we can arrive at point where players will be selected on merit. Some existing players will be there some will be dropped. But it will be on merit.

What merit? What/where is the yardstick/tape of measurement?

Truth is that Iheanacho has not made much progress as a developing player, and its beginning to look like what we have seen so far is all he has to offer. In the beginning at tbe U17 world cup he was banging in goals after goals and we thought we had found a gem in our hands. He was signed and the goals continue under former Man City boss but it became interesting that most of his goals came by mere tap ins. And, all of a sudden, the same player known for his swift movements with the ball and wizardry deft touches became bereft of ideas when the ball is in his feet.

His fans came to his defence and pointed out he was an emerging talent and will come good with time. Things got worse under the watch of the meticulous Pep Guadiola, and Nacho dropped down the pecking order. It was rumored Guadiola was a racist and people compared Kelechi to Jesus. The lad banged in couple of goals but to the discerning eyes it was obvious he did not measure up.

Kelechi was shipped out to Leicester and he continued with his struggle. Ok, the boy had a little setback with injury but after he became match fit the expectation that followed his U17 exploits were yet to be met. The man went to the world cup and simply didn't play. His delivery became inconsistent and it began to look like Kelechi would never meet his target. Kelechi has the most opportunity out of all his mate at the U17, meanwhile, he has regressed instead. Suddenly, Kelechi could not keep a soccer ball to his feet , he has no vision ,and his trademark defense splitting passes didn't get better. He lurks around the 18 yard box waiting for the slightest opportunity to tap a goal in. It is painfully depressing.

The question now becomes ,will Iheanacho ever come good ?
What will be the next excuse ?

yea like Collins who is so good that he plays in German 2nd division
most of your players play abroad just because they were born there that's why we are always dragging nationality with the countries the play in
you think some of the npfl players won't do better if the had a more better condition to show their skills
besides most or your super eagles are bench warmers in their league
and your best player in the super eagles now (musa) started in the Npfl and proved himself before he went abroad
the guy who gave u your last afcon title Sunday mbah was playing in the league
ur best player in ur last under 23 African nation cup (etebo) was with warri wolves dn
abeg talk another thing
granted the league quality no dey dat high doesn't mean there aren't good players in the league too
trying playing in bad pitches without salaries for months and still put up some good displays and tell me you won't do more if given a more comfortable display consistently

He is not in the team because of playing in Npfl rather it's because of quality. We have better options

I honestly don't see why we are going for Seyi Ojo. For Chrissakes our team is overflowing with wingers presently. Even someone in the caliber of Simon Moses now struggles to make our bench!. I hear Ojo is a left footed RW, but we already have Chukwueze who has the very same characteristics (and plays at a higher level). So why exactly do we need Seyi Ojo?.

Let the NFF find us CREATIVE MIDFIELDERS. That is all we ask. AM's and CM's are welcome, any other position is not a priority for now.

Salient questions to be asked;

1) Does Lobi have the monetary fortitude for continental engagement

2)I know their coach Ogbeide from his days at Sunshine, is he tactical?

3)CAFCL is very unforgiving, are they experienced?

Look at Rangers in 2017 CAFCL& CAFCC, they literally came home with their tails in between their legs and we know the only person missing then was the "E" in C-A-N-E

The goals conceeded is making it look like a typical Arsenal FC team that keep scoring but keep conceeding goals which would later prove detrimental to their quest.

Well that's like a goal conceeded/game and I don't like that. The defence is looking solid since after the world cup(where we got almost half those conceeded goals.) We need to show more, more, we are moving, but it's time for the solidifying process to start.

With the Kind competition wey we get AFCON go sweet.

Which competition? You don't know Rohr.grin.

I can give you Rohr's 23 man list for AFCON 2019 right now with little or no errors. That's how predictable his team selection is. He will never take risks. Baba Oni will simply pick his old loyalists.

It is easier to break into a house with an iron gate than for a new, largely untested player to break into Rohr's team.

That said, Iheanacho, with his unbelievably poor quality, is already guaranteed his place in the list, you can take that to the bank. grin.
