you can manually update it to 6.0 .its not necessary you must do it over the air

yes it is available.. S8plus custom rom should be available for the s7..but since your version is a USA version snapdragon "U" at the end of the "0" it means it's boot loader is locked.. Which you can't remove.. So sorry that version cannot install custom rom

yes I tried the hacking for it.. But they have upgraded their software for the app to detect any manipulations ..so am sorry it's not possible to hack it.. Only way to get dent coins is through referrals..

So today I will teaching foundational level for rooting and installing recovery mode and custom roms on Samsung phones..
Step 1
Make sure your phone is fully charged to like 70 percent at most
Step 2
Go to your Android setting click on about device.. You will see build number click on it 7 times to activate developer options.. This is to indicate that your are ready to tweak the software system of the phone
Step 3...i guess by then you already know the version of phone your using ..if you don't know it... Go to about device you will see it there..
So make sure the following tools and files are available readily on your PC..i will drop link below to access this files
USB cable.. With high speed transfer capabilities not just anyhow cable so that odin can detect your phone when plugged to the system
Samsung drivers or Samsung kies[this is Samsung official system package just like Nokia PC suite then.. This Samsung kies automatically installs the Samsung drivers on the system without need to download Samsung drivers]
Odin 1.85 or Odin 3
CF auto root for your phone model[this is the best rooting file for Samsung phones.. While we have kingoroot oneroot..and others this one is fail proof no error or mishap ]
For custom recovery I will recommend TWRP[team win recovery project ]it's cool and more better to understand.. But you can still use CWM[clockworld mode ]
Please make sure you download the correct files.. I repeat make sure you download the correct files for your model...
Now start odin In your PC everything will be done on PC except installing the custom rom.. But rooting and recovery mode will be done with a PC
Now put your phone in download mode.. By switching off your phone.. Press and hold power button.. Home button.. And volume button at the same time.. For like 5 seconds once the screen boot up let go of just the power button..
Then you will see a screen that says downloading do not turn kf target
With Odin already started on the PC.. Plug your phone to the system ..
Once plugged the odin will indicate a yellow signal on the top left on it meaning it has detected your phone..odin will also show a command write up that it has detected your phone
You are 20 percent done...
Step 2
Click on AP or PDA depends on the version of the Odin you downloaded but anyway it's serves the same function..
Before will you have extracted the files from the CF auto root package you downloaded..click on the auto root file and click open.. It will be show on the AP or PDA dialog..
Now that's set your 70 percent there
Click on start.. Odin will run a series of command on your it... Your phone will show a green light going from left to right.. Once it has reached the right. Odin will indicate pass.. Then your phone will show up some code command for like 10 seconds it will reboot..
Congratulations you have successfully rooted your phone without any hassles or issue..once your phone boot ..go to app drawer you will see superuser app.. Click on it....
For installing TWRP... Use the same step you used for rooting
But when clicking on AP or PDA click on the TWRP file you downloaded
Note.. All files for rooting and twrp are in .TAR format.. That's only format odin detects.. So make sure the twrp and cf auto root and in that format when you open them..the CF auto root is a Zip file when you download it.. But when opened its tar file

Always take into consideration the following before buying any Samsung phone

Before you pay for the phone ask the seller permission for you to switch off the phone once the phone is off press home button.. You would see some information which contains the model of your phone.. Take notice if the model number does not tally with the one in about device in the settings of the phone please don't buy that phone it's a refurbished phone.. But they both tally. It's original.. That's how to detect original Samsung from refurbished phone's...
2.Samsung always release most of their phones on two processors model snapdragon and exynos.. Most times European versions carry snapdragon while Africa and other continents carry exynos.. yes you can root the phone.. Mind you.. Rooting is not a criterion for firmware upgrade.. Once you have the file of the firmware.. You can easily flash it via odin ..you don't need to root your phone to do that.. You only need rooting to flash and install custom rom not official firmware..

wow ..very unfortunate to hear that.. So sorry.. Your case is a very rare case called HARDBRICk..it seems the rom you flashed has alot of bugs on it.. With time your phone system could not contain it.. Leading to complete shut down.. Cynagon roms are not really my best friends.. I hardly flashed any of their roms.. Well since its not booting.. Let me do some research on how we could fix it and get back to you

Are you sure the right word is 'refurbished'? Because a refurbished phone is just a phone that's been repaired! Unless it was repaired by a non authorized Samsung repair center, there should be no issues with the model number you see or maybe it's a fake internals inside the Samsung body

you don't repair software related issues like the way you repair hardware issues.. And nothing like fake internals inside a Samsung body.. A Samsung Note 3 n9005 panel cannot work on a Samsung n900 panel self if that's what you mean by fake internals ..anything model and variants are all software thing ..so when I say refurbished I don't just mean hardware repair only I also mean software repair.. You can have a model s4 i9500 in settings about device but when you check it download mode you would see i9506.. It's possible nothing like internals was changed or dey put i9506 fake internals in it.. It has be flashed with that variant by the person who initially had the phone.. And want to sell it out.. But a novice would not take notice of it

am so sorry to hear about your constraints.. The issue is perhaps the phone is a Chinese version of the A7.. So about rooting.. Rooting is even the last thing you should be bothered about on the phone.. But first thing First.. Try checking the phone model of the phone on the about device in settings and in download mode [switch off the phone completely press and hold power Button.. Volume down button and middle home button at the same time.. Once the phone boots let go of the power button then a command screen will come up Press volume up to continue.. Another screen will come up at the top left screen you would see the model of the phone.. Tell me the model you see there .... I have shown how to detect original phones from Chinese models and refurbished models. Check that and get back to me.. From there we can know what to do

If your the type that like tweaking their phones.. Not all Samsung phones rom developers port Roms for..
Most phones in which rom developer's port rom for are as follows
S4
S5
S6
S7
S8
Note 3
Note 4
Note 5
Note 7
Note 8..
Not withstanding some branded snapdragon models of the phones support custom roms
So in case we intend to buy any Samsung phones with the aim of flashing custom roms we should try to focus more on the following models of Samsung.. Your 85 to 90 percent sure of having a custom rom for any of them
I can boastly tell galaxy s4 of 2013 has an s8 rom for it..
Note: am not saying other phone models don't have roms trust me dey do.. But you would have to search the web well to get to see any.. Unless your lucky the developer of the rom decides to include some other models in which his ported rom can work for.. It happens sometimes.. A ported rom for note 3 can end up working for A8 or A7 or C9 or C7 etc. It depends..

If the issue is that a former owner flashed the phone with the ROM from a different variant, that's different from a refurbished phone.

A genuine refurbished phone will be a phone that's been repaired by authorized Samsung repairer and will have the right ROM flashed.

However, if it was by a non authorized repairer, its possible for it to be flashed with the wrong ROM
