Yeah you can, pay through your mobile app and go print the receipt on the online platform, I take it you're talking about GTB mobile app and GTB internet platform.

1. Log on to your mobile app
2. Goto payments and locate visa fees
3. Follow the prompts and input accurate information
4. Confirm visa fees payment (they'll deduct the fee
from your account)
5. Log on to ibank.gtbank.com with your login details
6. Click on travel [airline tickets, visa fees and hotel]
7. Click on US visa fees on the drop tray
8. You'll be able to view your transaction history
9. Print receipt (it'll come as a PDF)

Cheers

God bless you. So so easy. At least my weekend won't be a waste of time. I was thinking I was going to have to wait till next week to pay Visa fees.

Hello gurus this is my transcript, please help me go through it and also give me tips on how to improve on it. Thanks in anticipation.
VO and Me: Good Morning
VO: Why are you going to the US?
I am going to the US to study for PhD in Environmental Design and Planning at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
VO: Why did u choose to study in the US instead of Nigeria?
There are universities here in Nigeria that offer Environmental Design and Planning, but they focus more on the theoretical aspect, and do not provide the practical research opportunities for my preferred course.
VO: Tell me your study plans/Program schedule?
I plan to go for PhD in Environmental Design and Planning at Virginia Tech. It will require a total of 90 credit hours including minimum of 30 hours core course work. I will be taking courses like Innovation in Construction, Sustainable facility system, Sustainable Infrastructures system, Principles and practices of Construction, series of independent study, seminars, proposal and dissertation. And after the program I will be coming back to Nigeria to start a lecturing job at my Alma Mata.
VO: How many schools did you apply to?
I applied to two schools. Virginia Tech and Mississippi State University.
VO: How many admission did you get?
I got one, Virginia Tech. However Mississippi State University is yet to notify me of their decision.
VO: Why Virginia Tech? /Why did you choose this school over others?
I have a soft spot for intelligent infrastructure. In 2016, Virginia Tech has invested approximately $79 million into intelligent infrastructure. This will make them the nation’s best in this area and it will be an honor to study in this type of school. Also, Dr. Axxx who is a proponent in this area has agreed to be my supervisor because she was impressed with my undergraduate academic performance and my programming skills. Therefore I will benefit from this school because, I will be learning a lot from practical work and experience.
VO: How did you get to know about this school?
I did an extensive research online using academic websites such as US News, gradschools, education USA and I focused my search based on my area of interest and schools that match my ambition and goals.

VO: Tell me about your course?
This course, Environmental Design and Planning requires a minimum of 90 credit hours including minimum of 30 credit hours of core courses and I will be offering courses like Innovation in construction, Principles and practices of construction, advanced fundamentals of Construction Management, sustainable infrastructures system. Also at graduation I would have successfully completed qualifying and preliminary exams, proposal defense and dissertation defense.
VO: What will PhD do for you?
It will provide me with knowledge and skills to be an academic and a credible researcher. Also, having a PhD will make me assume a top position when starting a Job at my Alma Mata, UNIOSUN.
VO: Why EDP/What will this course do for you?
I am very passionate about my country, and I have seen the wrong construction practices here in Nigeria which has led to many kinds of building failures, so this course will give me in depth knowledge coupled with my experience on how efficient, sustainable and safe buildings can be constructed using new innovations and technology.
VO: What are your plans after graduation?
I will be coming back to Nigeria to start a lecturing job at UNIOSUN, my Alma Mata.
VO: What is your research topic?
I don’t have one yet, but my research area will be focused on intelligent infrastructure.
VO: What is your total credit units?
90 credit hours including minimum of 30 hours core courses.
VO: What are the courses you will be taking this semester?
Innovation in Construction, Sustainable facility system, Sustainable Infrastructures system, Principles and practices of Construction I and II, Seminar in Environmental Design and Planning.
VO: What are the requirement for graduation?
The requirement for graduation is a minimum of 90 credit hours with a minimum of 30 hours of core coursework. Also I must successfully complete the Qualifying and Preliminary exams, Proposal defense, and Dissertation defense.

VO: Did you write any test(s)?
Yes, GRE and TOEFL.
VO: Who is your Sponsor?
I got funding from the school to cover the out of state and in-state tuitions, and monthly stipends for the first year, and I was promised renewal every year provided I meet the minimum academic requirement. And my Uncle will pay the differentials.
VO: What does your Uncle do?
He works as the general manager of CON Nigeria Limited.
VO: What does the company do?
They are retail outlet of petroleum products including AGO, PMS, DPK and Engine Oil. Also the company is into construction of buildings.
VO: What is intelligent infrastructure?
Intelligent infrastructure is the integration of sensing, computing, and communications capabilities into traditional urban and rural physical infrastructures such as roads, buildings, and bridges for increasing efficiency, resiliency, and safety.

Hello gurus I still await ur comments on this proposed visa transcript. My interview is scheduled for next week. Thanks.

Good day

I was denied due to insufficient funds therefore I sent new bank statement (this time around my uncle is the sponsor but the school used the old bank statement on my new i20

How will it affects me during my visa interview?
Should I present the new bank statement or the old bank statement?

Honestly, you would be nervous! But you have to make a conscious effort to conquer that after you say your first words to the VO. A very good transcript is useless if the delivery on the D-day is poor.

So ask yourself, how much do you want this? See this as the only opportunity to convince the VO that you're a genuine student. When you understand the gravity of your appointment at the embassy/consulate, your nervousness has got to disappear.

On the other hand, you can decide to pretend that the interview isn't a big deal and maybe you'll feel better.

I wish you the very best dear! smiley

Yes it is absolutely okay to be nervous. It is part of their job to make you nervous (if you already are not) and steal your feelings. To find reasons to not let you get the visa or to find out what your true intentions are with couple of more questions.

This happened to me couple of months back while I was applying for a tourist visa.

After passing all the security check I was standing in a line and could hear every conversation between the interviewer and the applicant. I did not have well-prepared answers to common questions (as some friends suggested what could be asked) so I began to think of some. To make things worse, I noticed that most people in front of me were already denied the visa stating immigrant reasons or so. Now it’s my turn. I was already nervous with lost hope, as visa officer taking my interview had already denied 5 people in a row. My thinking… I could be sixth.

So the conversation went like this

Officer: What is your name?

Me: My name is …

Officer asked about other personal informations. And…

Officer: What do you do for a living?

Me: I work in a company called LogPoint. We have a head office in Denmark and a development branch is in Nepal.

Officer: How long have you been working there?

Me: 5 years

Officer: What does your company do?

Me: We develop a SIEM solution.

Officer interrupting me…

Officer: What solution?

At this point of time I was nervous. I should not have said the acronym. or should have said more clearer but I already did the mistake

Me: It’s SIEM… the security incident and event management thing (seeking the response… to which he just nooded) Basically we are into information security and we develop a product that helps in analysis of security incidents. (Maybe I could have said something better… but this is all that came to my head at that time)

Some other question regarding past travel and reasons… And

Officer: Why do you want to visit the United States?

Me: To take part in the conference … (As I was going to attend a Conference)

Officer: Can I see your conference participation and confirmation letter?

Me: (I had carried bunch of documents so couldn’t locate that particular one upfront… It took me 10 seconds to find) I handed him the letter. Along with some other supporting documents.

Seeing me take some time to hand over the documents

Officer: Are you nervous?

Me: A bit, yes.

Officer: Don’t be. It’s part of our job to get you nervous.

Me: Just smiled smiley

After checking my documents and after about 30 seconds …

Officer: Your request for visa has been approved. Please collect it after a week time.

Me: Thank you… and left the room.

You are are afraid and nervous because of your perception of the interview. You think about it as a MUST! That is wrong. Free yourself from the belief that you could be denied and that it will hurt you a lot. Your present fear also shows fear of tomorrow--that what if what had happened to some people here happens to you. American visa is not do or die. I advie you to stand stand in front of the mirror and watch yourself as you conduct the interview. Ask yourself the questions and answer them. What is the expression on your face? If this is your first time, the fear may go in with you; however, if you have prepared very well as you have said, you should be able to deliver well--even under the "pressure of what may be."

Presently, I'm looking for different schools that offer assistantship with tuition waiver and I've listed some out. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and I'll like to proceed into Master's in Computer related courses, like Computer science, computer and information technology, telecoms etc but they don't state in their website if a Bsc in Mathematics will be okay for admission into their Computer programs. Please, can anybody prob in this area of discipline, shed more light? Thanks to y'all

Computer science / IT courses in the US in now open to all students irrespective of academic background. Most schools want diverse perspectives in the classes this days and coupled with the increase in IT jobs they usually accept most applicants as much as their class could take. I myself had my bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering but am currently doing masters in Computer Information systems

The issue you would encounter is in funding/GA. Most GA you would receive before getting to campus would require you to tutor or assists the professors in one way or the other, and you might not be considered for such positions because you have not taken courses in computer science / IT.

Nevertheless, if you have funds to cover one session, you can go ahead and apply. You will surely get admitted for Computer science. You can even apply for computation based IT programs like maths & statistics, analytics etc. Some of this courses are now being done under Computer science.

I hope this helps you

Cheers
