Not less than 4,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities will be created, when construction works on the Abeokuta City Centre, in the Ogun State capital, is completed.

The Promoter of Shoprite, Mr. Tayo Amusan, made this known in an interview with newsmen, after he accompanied Governor Ibikunle Amosun and stakeholders, on an inspection of the project site, in Abeokuta.

He said the vision is to create a city within a city, that will accommodate people from all over West Africa.

The Lead Contractor handling the project, Mr. Ibukun Sonola, also answering questions, said the project, which has reached 60 percent completion stage, will be completed by December 2019.
Amosun, in his remarks, restated his government's commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

The governor thanked the people of the state for standing by his administration in the last seven and half years, appreciating investors for believing in its policies.

Amosun added that the City Centre will be powered by the Independent Power Project (IPP) of the state government, in order to bring down the cost of rentals at the mall.

Millions of Jobs are under threat in Nigeria if we don’t vote out Buhari’s government in 2019. Don’t be among that statistic, Buhari is not fighting corruption, he’s aiding it, here’s your proof:

I'm not in the business of praising "proposed" projects.

Let's see 60% and above level of completion before we acknowledge your incipient efforts.

You can say whatever you want to say about Amosun but he has done well in attracting investors to the state.

Please Take note of the names Tayo Amusan and Ibukun Sonola We don't want to start hearing how Abeokuta was developed by some hairy pigs in the future.

Something must be wrong with your brain if you have any brain cells remaining in your skull. Your post is insinuating that a project that started under PMB led APC and got to 60% in 3 years is under threat if PMB led APC is not voted out. Please tell us the logic in that reasoning.

What did OBJ and PDP bring to Abeokuta during their 16 years of rule? I ask because I am from Abeokuta and I know the transformation that is happening there, most especially within the past 3 years.

Even if you are employed to post for PDP, at least, post things that are reasonable and logical. Your type of stupid posts are nothing but counter-productive to any THIEF AGENDA you and PDP employers are trying to sell.

World Economists will tell you "Development is measured in Concrete". So whatever structure that is put on ground is development.

If you take all those that will earn between 10 and 30k off the street, then there will be scarcity of those types of labour force, and when there is scarcity, price (salary) will go up. It is gospel law in economics. It is because there are so many available and willing to take 10-30k, that is why the Employers are offering such. When the number of such labour force dwindles, there will be competition for the few remaining.

Also, the bible told us "not to despise the days of small beginnings"
