Sigh
Please read transcripts on this thread and refire. You were not prepared enough sir

I sight you chief. What of people who have studied Maths and CS but CS is just a minor?
grin Boss why na? Mathematics is actually ok naa. This might be helpful though.

It all boils down to the applicant's ability to code sha.

Good pm everyone. If a top 50 scho0l offers one an admission without requesting for any standardized exam, what would be the right response if asked by the VO why such a person didn't write any of such exams?

I told you to hurry but you were slow. Keep praying and hoping to get another closer slot, otherwise you'll need toapply for expedited appointment or get extension of your resumption date from the university

You need to understand that not all MSc CS programs admit people without CS backgrounds. Some like UTDallas do with specific requirements though

Degree requirements: Bachelor's degree which includes 2 semesters of calculus and 1 semester of linear algebra and a strong foundation in programming.
i understand this but for an accounting major there are alot of options eg: Data science (which is booming and in demand, doesn't have alot of prerequisites and he would you would be taught basic programing, R, python, ruby and one can pick up from there. Or Just go for MIS which is more flexible. What i am trying to pass across is you necessarily don't have to reset every time you want to make a career change. Also i do hope the dude as at least started self learning to ensure that he has interest in CS!

Those that couldn’t get date in Lagos. You guys should try Abuja. There are dates in early Jan.
Dates are always booked around this time and most expedited interview request may also be denied.

For someone that studied accounting, MSc in Data Science is the best, i'm not just sure our naija schools teach our guys the basic python they need. I think they do more of excel, SPSS. But he can start learning that and apply for fall 2020. How are you doing? You haven't still shared the Indian GRE study group thingy grin
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Abacino007(m): 4:55pm On Dec 12, 2018
Pls how can someone secure appointment date? Because I see people begging to “release date” (lol). I saw 18th of December 2018 for Abuja and 24th of December 2018 for Lagos just for me to go and pay the visa fee and return but date have changed 2 of January 2019 and 11 of January 2019 respectively. My school resume 7th of January and all GA students are required to resume 4th of January.

I have been refreshing the page since but still no changes

yes ooo Data science/Business Analytics is hot cake everywhere now. Funny thing is that most schools i have seen for Business Analytics/Data Science don't require programming skills as a pre-requiste because its a professional course they start from the basic. @Indian GRE study just go to facebook and search for "GRE Group Study" there is a pic of an Asian lady thats it

Wow! I think the guy should dive right in then, UTDallas would start a Bachelor's in Data Science next year too, it's a hot cake everywhere. I'm currently using MOOCs to learn too, follow the trend cheesy Thanks for the group o

Can’t you just choose Abuja. To meet up with ur resumption. Waiting for dates to open in Lagos might not materialize. Just saying

I don't think so..I did GRE,even paid huge first year tuition fee and had good travel history.i was still denied today....after just 4 questions

I only saw one white paper out of over 30 people that were interviewed ahead of me.the guy had been to USA severally and his mum and brothers are citizens

don't be discouraged by my comment,u might just be lucky

I had similar scenario as a first timer at the Lagos Consulate earlier this month.I was able to deduce that all those blue paper are psychologically inclined. That's what made you fidget with shaky voice. With or without GRE what's more important is if you are going to a well ranked school I mean school not termed 'Red Flag' and you can convince the VO that GRE is not required for your course. Please post your transcript....
