Don't get me wrong, VVD is a very good CB who I'd even love to be in my team. But the hype is over too much. He get more credits than he deserves. Since the debate of VVD started in this thread, I have cool down and watched him. He is just a very good CB, nothing more.

Alisson and other defenders have contributed as much as VVD in that Liverpool backline but all we get to read here is VVD VVD VVD.... The hype is too much.

I tell ya, some people watch something else while a match is going on.

It still pains me till tomorrow that we missed that chap. Klopp called him, a steal at 75m, someone we would have bought at 60m if not for stupid board. He is a leader at the back, something we still lack in the team.

I remember telling chic2pimp about him, while at Southampton, being a better cb to most cbs playing in bigger teams, especially that calamitous alagolo.
