Zara downcast her face as the police came to her rescue...., they jerk off Cassandra grasp on her and stood in front of her....

Mummy.. "Gerald called out, tears spattering out from his eyes.... as he struggled to free himself from the guards

Dillan quickly grab Cassandra hands, stopping her from pouncing on Zara.....

"She pleaded with us to come pay her last respect.... "The sergeant said

Zara tears burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down her face. She felt the muscles of her chin tremble like a small child...., It was more than crying, it was the kind of desolate sobbing that comes from a person drained of all hope,she crunched down to the floor of the cell ....

She sobbed into her hands and the tears dripped between her fingers, raining down onto the parched cemented cell floor, Her breathing was ragged, gasping and the strength left her legs....,Fire of shame and anger burned just under her skin and a deep emptiness filled her heart as the enormity of her doings.., jealousy brewed over and boiled past the seams she could no longer hold together......

The thought about her son chased her into another world of sadness..., enormous grief..., she thought about what will become of him...., her mind brood over the twist of event.., she didn't picture her life to end behind bars......

Tears wrecking every muscle in her, she raised her face to the person....

"Someone is here to see you.... "The constable said...

She didn't bother replying, she lour down her head back, drowning back into her thoughts that thteatens to devour her....

Fear struck Gerald... ,his breathe seize as he tried to hold his tears...,tears welling... He gave way to more loud sob....

Infuriated, Dillan stood on his feet, slapped Gerald's head and left him...

The slap chased Gerald into another level of tears..... Hard sobbing.....

He glance at the time..., then he look around, the few policemen on duty were already dizzy.....
He stood up, hid the small knife in his pocket.., he trot towards the prison..., avoiding all contacts with the light...

He move towards the cell at the end of the wall..., he saw the curtain on the wall close to her cell but he ignored it.., he move closer, he heard her sobs, her silent wailing, she wasn't asleep yet....., but he needs to do this, for the money,it was a risk worth taking.., with the DPO, inspector Kess and few policemen gone, the work will be easy for him, the others won't even noticed a thing..., he remenber the chief call...., a wry smile made way to his lips at the sound of the money that will be in his house waiting for him when morning comes....

He move closer and panned a touch light on Zara's face.....

"Come...... "He said to her

Zara didn't bother replying, she just continue crying...

"Someone brought your son.... "He said to her..

Shock swept through Zara, she quickly stood up and ran to the bars.....,"Where is he....?

He look round, no one was there watching, the stupid policemen have slept off...... "I lied.... "He said..

He quickly pulled her head and her head hit the bars..., just then he stab her in the stomach with the knife......., not once, not twice but six times........

Zara grimace in pains as blood began to gush out of her stomach, she tried to scream, that was when he gagged her mouth with his wide hand...., sucking out any air she have left.....

She struggled, her stomach bleeding, she felt breathless.....,starved for breathe..., her stomach drying up from the pains, she began to fade.....

He added more strength, closing every space of her mouth...

Slowly, she began to fade.., she fought and fought, the enormity of her mistakes cloud her mind.., just then she gave up, gave up fighting and gave up the ghost.....

He quietly and gently dropped her on the floor.....,then he let go of her and her lifeless head and body hit the ground....

He flexed the muscles of his neck, his hands...... And put on a wicked smile....... .

With the smile on his face, he left her dead body there leaving the hell to break lose when someone discover she's dead.. dead.. dead.........
